Charlie Having Fun

What a cutie Charlie is, and now you can upload him as a digital from Clear Dollar Stamps. This set is called Charlie Autumn, and he is sure to put a smile on your face. I went with a dual challenge for this card: Colour Q had some wonderful colors (Poppy parade, More mustard, Basic grey, Bermuda bay and White) and the Inspirational Card Sketches and their totally awesome sketch.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. It's supposed to be in the 90's this week here in Pittsburgh - CRAZY!!!

Miss U Summer

Summer, you have gone by very fast. But, I've gotta admit, I'm so looking forward to the kids going back to school! They are even a bit anxious. Can you believe it, I whipped up this card in minutes and it covers 3 challenges!!!!! Critter Sketch Challenge (use striped DSP, red, and a summer theme), Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge (I used the sketch), and Digital Tuesday (use a water, beach, or tropical digital image). I used the Bugaboo Stamps' Isabella Beach digital image - isn't she a cutie!!!! The DSP is from BoBunny and the sticker letters are from my most recent KI kit from Taylored Expressions. Hope you have a great weekend. It's supposed to be a warm one here so time will be spent at the pool!

Check Out These Digi Stamp Characters

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! As always, I am thrilled to present to you the challenge for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Our leader and sketch creator is Arlana Patten, and here is the sketch she is challenging us all with.

Isn't it great?!!! She is a woman after my own heart who loves the layers. Our sponsor this week is the fun and generous Heather of Digi Stamps Characters.

If you play along with us this week, you could win 3 free digis from Heather's Etsy shop!!! I love the sweet images she has to offer, and I know you will too. Here are two cards that I made using images Heather has to offer.

Here I used the Baby image. I had a pink bunny growing up that I took everywhere we went except for one terrible day, and I remember it still, coming home and finding the dog had gotten it off my bed and had it in pieces with stuffing strewn everywhere! I cried and cried. Mom picked up all the pieces of my bunny and put it all back together again. She was a life saver!!! I used copic markers on this guy as well as the new Basic Grey dsp Olivia from Clear Dollar Stamps. Love the flower, which I added some punched out leaves to it.

Isn't this mouse adorable?! I wanted to make the sketch into an A2 card, but then I goofed with the ribbon, it's not supposed to stretch across the entire card like I did!!! Chalk it up to late night stamping again!!! Anyway, I used my Tombow markers and blender pen on this. I thought I would changed it up a bit by not doing the zig zag stitching that I always seem to do. I've gotta thank Arlana for this inspiration! Thanks for stopping, but may I suggest heading over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog so you can check out all the creations by the rest of the Design Team. You'll be so glad you did!

On the First Day of Christmas

I have to keep telling myself sometimes that less is more, and I couldn't be happier with that motto and this card. I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems and the digi stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps called Pear-fect Tree and Wreath. I'm having fun playing around with my digi stamps, placing the verse exactly where I wanted it. Normally I would have separately printed up the sentiment, cut it out, and layered it up. This time I decided to put it right where I wanted it and print it with the tree. Hey, I am so not computer savvy so this is a big accomplishment for me (thanks to hubby for the help too!!!)! Anyway, I used my Copic markers on it as well as CDS cardstock (Spruce needle, Hot cocoa, Spring leaf, Fresh papaya, Ripe olive) and Basic Grey DSP Origins. Not completely traditional colors, but I did pop a little red in with the bird and buttons. Thanks for stopping, see you back here tomorrow.

Featured Stamper Challenge

I really do enjoy the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS, but I wish I could complete the card AND post it on Sundays. Too many other things going on I guess. Anyway, Heather is the featured stamper and here is her fabulous gallery. I didn't have to go very far thru it to find this perfect card to case. I used the verse from a Clear Dollar Stamps digital stamp set called Assemble Together. I just got my new Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions and couldn't wait to dive into it. The scallop velvet ribbon is from Cosmo Cricket and fit perfectly into the color scheme. The candy dots and flower are also from Taylored Expressions. Such a fun and quick card to make.

Down to the Wire

I hope I get this card submitted in time for the Sketch and Stash Challenge. Talk about procrastinating! Anyway, what a great sketch. As for my stash, I've had this Bugaboo image colored and cut out for quite some time now just waiting to turn it into a card...and I finally did!! Also, I pulled out these white brads from SU that I bought over a year ago, and actually had to break the seal on the package! The DSP is from my ever growing stash of Basic Grey papers, this line is Eva. I don't think I will ever run out of stuff!!! Hope you had a great weekend. I went out shopping for school supplies and was the store ever crowded!!! I'm counting down the days!! But don't tell the boys!

Glittery Birthday Boy

Yes, boys can be glittery too!!!!! I made this card for the Critter Sketch Challenge - create a boy card with the added twist of glitter, and the Inspirational Card Sketches! I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps called Wee One Cupcake Boy. The glitter is on the dots of the cupcake liner and candle as well as the brad. I also added Crystal Effects to the cherry for some shine. Bugaboo Stamps are such fun images to color, I love 'em!

More Digis for Your Enjoyment!

Clear Dollar Stamps had a new digital stamp release, and here are two more of my samples. I was so excited to work with these because of the fall theme. Who doesn't love those colors!! This set is called Pear-fect Tree and Wreath, a set of 8 images (2 images and 6 sentiments) for only $3.00. Now you can't beat that!!
Now this set is called Harvest Bounty, 3 images and 6 sentiments also for only $3.00. I used my Tombows and blender pen for this. I went with some scraps out of my scrap bin, liking the semi-non traditional autumn colors.
Thanks for stopping, I always enjoy hearing from you!

A Sweet Hello!

Hello, hope you are having a sweet day so far! I sure hope you can join us for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge. Isn't this one great sketch?! I totally enjoyed it! And something else you might enjoy is our sponsor this week, Digi Stamp Boutique. Take a moment and check out their site, so many fabulous images to choose from!
And talk about a totally generous sponsor, you could win 10 free digi images just for playing along with our sketch this week! Who wouldn't love that? I know I would!!!

Now here's my card for this sketch. I used the image Kira & Toadstool. Once again I used my Tombow markers and blender pen. Little Miss Kira is all dressed up in her paper pieced dress! I used some Ocober Afternoon designer paper and felt embellishments from Stampin' Up. What a shocker...I didn't do any sewing on this card! I plan on mailing this to my niece, so I tried to keep it sorta simple!! Now check out the Sweet Sketch Wednesday so you can see what else the DT did, you will be inspired!!

Look at Charlie!

That horse sure knows how to have fun!! I mean who doesn't love rolling around in a pile of leaves!!! This sweet image is one of the new digital releases from Clear Dollar Stamps called Charlie Autumn. Once again I used my Tombow markers and blender pen - fall colors are my favorite!! This card measures 3.5 by 6, a different size for me. I found the leaf brad in my stash and thought, how perfect. You really must check out these other DT members who created with Charlie:
Come back tomorrow for my final installment of the digi release samples!!!!! Have a great day!

I've Got a Story...

And even though my story is none too exciting, it does explain why I am EXTREMELY late posting my card!!! A crazy busy weekend, lots going on, and today I made a quick trip to my parents' with Phillip because Dad had 2 bushels of homegrown tomatoes for me from his garden. I make juice, putting it in ziploc bags and freezing for chili and such. During the drive home it hit me, today is the 15th and I never posted my samples for the digi release at Clear Dollar Stamps! So sorry Lori!!! Anywho, I have four cards to show you and I will post one everyday, so you have to keep coming back!!! LOL!!! This card uses the beautiful set Assemble Together by the one and only Laurie Wilson. This was another image I had taken on vacation with me and colored it in, using Tombow markers and the blender pen. Other DT members that created beautiful cards with this set deserve some love to, so go visit their blog:

Merry Merry

Yes, it's a Christmas card!!! And no, not your traditional colors...just the way I like it!!! I just received this image from one of the very generous ladies thru Wish RAK at SCS. Polly Packages is her name and turning her into a card is my game (sorry, I'm tired!). Copics to add color and the sketch is from Critter Sketch Challenge. I used free paper I got when I purchased a magazine, My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary. Of course I had to add some stitching!!! I went for the candy dots this time instead of pearls. And, not sure if you can tell in the photo, but I used liquid applique on her boots. Definitely was fun to stamp, well, for fun!!!

Tomorrow is already set to be a long day at work. Hopefully in the evening I can stay awake and get inky! I have images from vacation that I took and already have colored in. Now if I could only listen to those voices inside my head, "Keep it simple stupid!!!"

Happy Wednesday to you! Summer is flying by, that's for sure! But, because it's Wednesday, that means a new Sweet Sketch for you to try! Ain't it a beaut?! So many fun layers...and I love layers!!!

We have a very cool sponsor this week, Pixie Dust Studio. Play along with our challenge and you could be the winner of two digi images of your choice from Pixie Dust Studio!! Good luck to you all!
I had the honors of using this adorable image called Fishing Friends. He is soooooo adorable!!! Being a mom of two boys this runs close to my heart! I printed the image on watercolor paper and used my Tombow markers and blender pen to color him in (a job I did one evening while on vacation!). The cardstock is a red Bazzill while the DSP belongs to BoBunny. I am so trying to use what I've got!! I even found these cutie fish brads in my stash! What a find!!!!
Now may I make some suggestions...first of all, play along yourself! We'd love to see what you come up with. And, be sure to check out the inspiration from the other Design Team members on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog.

From the Garden

Where does the time go?! The old saying holds true...so much to do, so little time. I finally took a pic of the card I made for Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS. Vicki has a fabulous gallery, and I chose this card to case. I love the layout! I used Flourishes set From the Garden, coloring it in with Copic markers. I changed up the colors to Chocolate chip, Real red, and Pineapple twist from Clear Dollar Stamps. I found the little tag amongst my stash and love it. So much more to do today so I've gotta keep this short. Have a great day!

Cute and Fuzzy

That's the theme for this month's Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps. What could be cuter or fuzzier than a lamb!! I used the digi image Ewe are Special, printing him on watercolor paper so I could use my Tombow markers and do some watercoloring with the blender pen. I had taken my markers and images on vacation with me in case I ever needed anything to do! Indian Summer dsp from Basic Grey provided my color inspiration. Be sure and check out some of the other DT creations, talk about talent!!! You can find it all on Lori's blog. Play along with us, we'd love to see what you come up with!!!!!

Off Puttin' Another Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone, and welcome to another Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Isn't this yet another fabulous sketch?! I so enjoy all the inspirational sketches Arlana comes up with each week.
Now our sponsor this week is Di's Digi Downloads. Please take a trip thru their store, you will not be disappointed! Or, if I make another suggestion, play along with us this week and you could be the winner of this week's prize so graciously donated by Diane, 5 free digis!!!!! Now that sounds like fun!!

And here's my card. I used the adorable image Off Puttin', watercoloring with my Tombow markers. I drew all my color inspiration from the Basic Grey paper, Max and Whiskers. I had to use the idea for the golf balls I have seen on several blogs, using the under side of the Swiss Dots embossing folder. A perfect card for one of the many golfers in the family! Be sure and check out all the uber talented Sweet Sketch Wednesday DT members' creations, you'll be happy you did.

Peaceful Shore

Awwwww, I'm still in beach mode!!! As a matter of fact, I colored this image one evening while on vacation. It's a digital image from Clear Dollar Stamps called Peaceful Shore. I'm submitting it for the Critter Sketch Challenge, follow the sketch AND use a minimum of two ribbons. I really enjoyed this challenge! Colors include GinaK's Wild Dandelion, Very vanilla, White, CDS's Raging River and October Afternoon's The Thrift Shop dsp. Thanks for stopping by.

We're Home!

Back home from vacation, and so reality begins!!! I actually had this card done before we left last week for the beach...one problem, I had already packed the camera so I couldn't take a pic!!! LOL!! I used the sweet Clear Dollar Stamps digi image Wool Ewe Pray. Color was added with my Copic markers. I used the Martha Stewart grass punch to add a little somethin' as well as some crazy stitching, pearls, and ribbon. I had sized the image a bit on the small size so I cut my card to fit it. I don't know what size card I ended up with, but I do know it will fit into an A2 envelope!!!!! More cards are in the making, so stop by again tomorrow!!!
