Coffee and Friends

I have another card to share with you today. This one is for the "Oh So Girly" challenge going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. I don't make a lot of girly cards. I think it's because I'm not so girly myself! My mom tried so hard to make me into a girly girl but it just wasn't for me! The image is a new release from Fresh Brewed Designs, Lily - Latte Girl. It was fun giving her blue hair! I hope you can join in the Girly challenge going on at the Fresh Brewed Blog, just hurry up, there's not much time left.

You Brighten My Life

Welcome to the latest Clean & Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. We are to use the sea as our inspiration this week. This got me thinking about our annual beach vacation and the beautiful lighthouses we have gone to see in years past. I've had this adorable stamp set by Lawn Fawn called Life is Good for quite some time and it needed to see some ink. The background layer was sponged with some distress inks then die cut with a stitched rectangle die also from Lawn Fawn. It's not often a card comes out the way I had imagined it in my head, but this one did!!! Good thing because I was running late with getting it done! Hope you can join us for some CAS fun over at The Outlawz.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Through the Purple Haze - Make a scene
Tuesday Throwdown - Create your own background
Ooh La La Creations - Clean & simple

Happy Easter

It's a new Saturday challenge happenin' over at Catch the Bug. This time it's a color challenge. I immediately thought spring when I saw them...

so an Easter card it is!! I used the sweet Bugaboo image Kidz Bunny and scrap paper. Once I had it all together it hit me, I didn't use any embellishments on this, and that's okay with me!! Sure hope you can join us for some color fun at Catch the Bug.

It's Your Birthday

I'm rushing here to get my card done and posted before heading off to work...a just for fun card! I don't take the time to make that many cards for no reason at all but today was the day, and I made two of these. I heat embossed in gold the Bold Blossoms outlines from Paper Trey Ink, then die cut them out. I didn't want it to be all gold and cream so I inserted a layer of black plus stamped my sentiment in black (also from the Bold Blossoms set). Quick and easy, that's for sure, since I was able to make two of 'em!! Now I have some birthday cards ready for mailing!!

We're Going to the Movies

We have a fun CAS challenge this week over at The Outlawz - Our challenge this week is all about old movies.  Who doesn't love old movies and have many favorites.  Pick an old movie you especially love and show us in CAS style what that movie is and please tell us why you love it. I went with Jaws - I remember seeing on the big screen when it first came out, IN 1975!!!!! YIKES, I'm dating myself for sure!! I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. Well this cute little shark isn't scary, he just makes me smile. The image and paper are from the set Quirky Shark by Doodle Pantry. Who else has the music from the movie stuck in their head now?!!!

Warm My Heart

Everyone has gone to bed so now I have some time to get a card made! This is for the "Hearts" challenge we have going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. Be My Valentine

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky and their theme is "All Creatures Great and Small." I wanted to get another Valentine made so I used the fun set Love Worms. I found this image and digital paper (also from the Love Worms set) in my pile of printed off "stuff" that still needs to be put on a card!! I'm fighting a loosing battle trying to go thru my scraps of paper stack so I thought I would work on this pile, it's a little more manageable! Keepin' it simple, and ready for the mail!

Doodle Pantry New Release

I've got some exciting news...Doodle Pantry is having a new release today!!!!! New is always good, especially when it's new cute sets like the ones from Doodle Pantry! My card uses some new additions to the original Cocoa Cup Ants set. If you already have the Cocoa Cup Ants sets, all you need to do is purchase the addition set only for more color and digital paper options. If not, the Cocoa Cup Ants set seen HERE will have all the color options for you. I had to chuckle with the sentiment I used. Normally here in Pittsburgh our average high for this time of year is low 30's. This weekend we had highs in the 50's - 60's!!! I put laundry up outside to dry...in January!!! To see all the new Doodle Pantry releases for February, check 'em out HERE. Be sure and come back because at noon today the latest Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge will go live over at the Doodle Pantry Blog.
