Wrap it Up

Mondays at Catch the Bug are Anything But a Card day, and today is no different. Because we are celebrating Christmas in July, our challenge is to create something you'd wrap up a gift with. But there's a twist...use non-traditional Christmas colors. Love it!!

I went with a gift tag, using the Bugaboo image Christmas Brat - Girl Elf. Brown, red and black is my color palette...definitely non-traditional!! Join us over at Catch the Bug for Day 3 and let's wrap it up with a twist.

Christmas in July Day 2

It's Sunday sketch day over at Catch the Bug for our Christmas in July celebration. Talk about a fun sketch, sure hope you can join us!!

Of course, loving snowmen so much, I couldn't resist using the Scene It - Snowmen Fun from Bugaboo. Another reason I used it was because it was in my "already printed off" pile!!! Now it's your turn to share your card using the sketch from Day 2 of Christmas in July, Bugaboo style that you can find over at Catch the Bug

Christmas in July Bugaboo Style

Today's the day, it's Christmas in July, Bugaboo style!!! Head on over to Catch the Bug for all the challenge details for this week...yes, we have Christmas challenges all week!!! Now join us for Day 1, sparkle and shine.

Here's my sparkly card using the Bugaboo image Winter Bird Skates. Right now it's not in the store, but as soon as it is, I'll link to it so you can add it to your collection (and right now, you can get 50% off ALL digis by using the code BUGXMASINJULY). I used 3 different colors of Stickles on the bird along with Nuvo glitter paste and a stencil for the background. Clean and simple with just enough sparkle...at least for someone who doesn't like glitter (don't hate me!!!). Can't wait to see what you create for our Christmas in July Sparkle & Shine challenge at Catch the Bug.

Outdoor Fun

It's time for a new challenge at Catch the Bug and our theme this week is Outdoor Fun. I used the fun Bugaboo image JJ Gardening. Now to some people, gardening is loads of fun, but not to this gal!!! I am clueless when it comes to what to plant and where so that's why I call upon my master gardener friend to design my landscaping as well as plant everything!! The fun for me is watching everything grow from the comfort of my air conditioned home!!!!! Hope you can join us for some Outdoor Fun of your own!!

Bugaboo's Oldie but Goodie

I'm always printing off way more images than I need so I've stock piled quite a collection. I go through that pile for some Bugaboo images for the Thursday Oldie But Goodie post found over at Catch the Bug. Today I used the adorable Ava Flower Patch, coloring her up with copic and spectrum noir glitter markers. I also used some pattern paper from my scrap pile! Now be sure and head over to Catch the Bug to see what other members of the Bugaboo design team created with their oldie but goodie Bugaboo images.

Happy Holiday -- In July!!

I warned you there would be lots of Christmas in July cards!! Today I used from Imagine That Digistamp the adorable Raymond's Reindeer Friend. Enjoy Your Day

I couldn't wait to share the latest sketch going on at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge because it is so much fun...and a great way to use up scraps!!

And here's my card following that sketch!! I pulled out an old My Mind's Eye paper pack and started cutting out my strips. I then sponged brown ink along the edges. I feel that really helped each strip really stand out. I then tied on some linen thread and attached a tag with a sentiment from an Avery Elle set called The Reef. Now it's your turn to share your project using the fabulous sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and Bugaboo

I decided to play along with the latest sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. As always, I love a good sketch that lets me add pattern paper because, well, I HAVE SO MUCH OF IT!!!!!

Another reason I wanted to join them is that Bugaboo is the sponsor...and I have so many of her images I simply couldn't resist.

Here's my card, using the adorable Fancy Sunbonnet July - USA image that isn't in the store as of yet. Jodie is still working on getting all of her images added to her new store, but with thousands of images to import, it's simply taking a bit of time. Now I hope you join in over the next two weeks at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for your chance at winning some Bugaboo goodness!!

Under The Sea

This week we have a fun CAS challenge at The Outlawz -- Under the Sea. I had been watching The Little Mermaid with a friend and her young daughter and that song was stuck in my head. What a perfect challenge theme I thought to myself!!! Funny where we find inspiration for this crazy therapy we call card making! Being short on time to get my card done, I went to my pile of previously printed digi images and found this cute one from Doodle Pantry. I'm still sad that her store has closed, I loved her images. I even found the coordinating digital paper too. This card went together in a snap! Now I hope you can join us for some Under the Sea fun at The Outlawz. And if you need some inspirational music, just sing along with these words...

 "Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea"

A Fashion Muse

I'm having fun with the latest class over at Altenew Academy, Muse. I actually got into my stamp room late last night before passing out from exhaustion to make a card inspired by fashion. I love the diagonal design and large bold flowers.

And here is my card pulling out those aspects of the inspiration photo. I used two Altenew sets -
Beautiful Day and Thinking of You. It's been fun searching Pinterest for inspiration. I actually created a board of these pins in case I need 'em again in the future.

Now it's off to work I go!! I've been working sooooo many additional hours I can't find any time to stamp! When I get home at night, I eat dinner then promptly fall asleep!! Not good for some of my design team requirements. Hopefully I can catch up with the extra long weekend coming up!

Crawling by to Say Hi

Thursdays are Oldie Bug Goodie days at Catch the Bug, and I sure do enjoy playing along!! Today I'm using the adorable Bugaboo image Crab Flower. It makes me think of the beach which we are heading off to in few weeks!! I can't wait!!! The papers are from an old 6 x 6 pack by My Mind's Eye. Speaking of eyes, I added glossy accents to this guy's eyes for some fun shine and dimension. Now be sure and head over to Catch the Bug to see what other design team members created.

The stamp set is from Gina K Designs and called Sentimental Bouquet. I used some of my favorite inks by Catherine Pooler (check 'em out HERE) as well as from Simon Says Stamp and Paper Trey Ink. Oldie But Goodie Thursday

I so enjoy creating for the Thursday Oldie But Goodie inspiration post over at Catch the Bug. I have collected so many Bugaboo images that I love playing with some that I haven't used in a while. Like this one, Kawaii Kitty Cupcake. Being a mom of two furballs of my own, I'm always drawn to cat images. Yep, you guessed it, I cut this one out with my Scan N Cut!! I love that thing!! For more OBG Bugaboo inspiration, head on over to Catch the Bug.

You Make Me Smile

Boy a good night sleep would certainly make me smile!!! I'm late with my card but got it made. Our CAS challenge this week at The Outlawz is to use a technique. I went with foiling and heat embossing. The background was created with some deco foil transfer gel and this Winnie and Walter stencil. The sentiment is from the latest My Favorite Things kit, Sketchy Flowers, that is unfortunately sold out. I'm not sure that I'm lovin' this card very much, but I have to get over it and move on. There's more stamping that needs to be done!!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful today!!

Sending Hugs

Well, well, well, would you look at that...I never posted my card for today's Anything Goes challenge over at Catch the Bug!!! Let me tell ya, working all these extra hours has really made me a scatter brain!! Anyway, this card uses a sweet Bugaboo image called Cute Bee Flower. I had cut him out using my Scan N Cut and decided this was a perfect time to put him on a card! I did add some sparkle to his wings and the center of the flower with my wink of stella pen. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black...not sure I like that big black sentiment strip but it ain't comin' off!!! Now I'm off to see what else I've forgotten to do today!!! Be sure and join us at Catch the Bug for an Anything Goes challenge.

Stinkin' Lovable

I'm a big Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan and am thrilled they are playing in the Stanley Cup for the second straight year!! Let's Go Pens!!! Watching that and working extra hours has really cut into my crafting time!!

I did get a card made for today's weekly inspiration at the Creative Playground. I made this using the sweet digi set Lil Stinker from Imagine That Digistamp. Once again, I used a piece of paper from the Sassy Frassy digital paper pack. Now  head on over to the Creative Playground to see more inspiration from the Imagine That design team.

With Sympathy

We're challenging you to make clean and simple sympathy cards this week at The Outlawz. It's definitely something I don't always have on hand. I found an old Flourishes stamp (the flowers) and also used a Verve Stamps set for the sentiment (both inside and out). That stamp set is called Forever in Our Hearts. I ended up making two cards but this design is so simple I could have certainly made many more. Sure hope you can join our CAS challenge this week over at The Outlawz.

Hello

Check out this fun and fabulous sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I had a real fun time with this one and I know you will too!

Here's my card, using a Jennifer McGuire technique she called stacked die cutting. Check out her video HERE. I stenciled on the background using the Sketched Lines Stencil by Altenew. The sentiment (heat embossed) and die (cut out 3 times and covered in wink of stella) are an old set by Avery Elle. The flower is from a Simon Says Stamp die, like the sentiment and hello die, must be retired because I can't seem to find it. The flower and leaves are also covered in wink of stella...love the sparkle. A quick and easy, clean and simple, and easily mailed card is complete!! Now it's your turn to share your creation with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes + a sentiment

Simon Says Stamp - A bit of sparkle

Hello My Friend

Welcome to the CAS challenge at The Outlawz for this week. Our challenge hostess is from South Africa and they are in the midst of the fall season. The theme is to create a card using autumn colors - brown, green, orange, etc. I pulled out a Paper Trey Ink stamp set, Ombre Builders, that I have never used before -- YIKES!! That created the colorful background. The I die cut the  Scripty Hello from Lawn Fawn three times for some dimension. I then added a sentiment along with some embellishments like gold thread and sequins. I rarely add embellies so this was a stretch outside my comfort zone!! Sure hope you can join us for our autumn colors challenge over at The Outlawz.

BINGO

We're playing a little bingo this week over at Catch the Bug. Lots of fun combinations to pick from too!

Here's my card (sparkle, stitching, sentiment), using from Bugaboo the adorable Sunbonnet Candy Cane (not yet in the new store). I colored her up with my copic markers then covered quite a bit with my wink of Stella glitter pen. I also used red glitter paper to make it extra sparkly! I cheated with the stitching, making use of two stitched dies. Now I can't wait to see what you create for our Bingo challenge this week over at Catch the Bug.

How Are You?

It's "Oldie But Goodie" Thursday at Catch the Bug. That's where we pick an older Bugaboo image, one that you may never seen before or forgotten about, dust it off, and create something with it. Not only am I a CAS kinda gal but I also love sketches -- good thing for Pinterest!! I found an old sketch that worked perfectly for my sweet Turtle - Flower image from Bugaboo. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your today!!

Girls Night Over

So who remembers slumber parties growing up?!! I loved 'em!! We always tried to see how long we could stay awake! I'm thinking that's where my being a night owl started!! This is my card for the Thursday inspiration post over at the Creative Playground. I used a recently released Imagine That Digistamp set called Slumber Party. So many adorable images in this set that are a must have!! Now head on over to the Creative Playground to see more inspiration from the Imagine That Digistamp design team.

Stella Says Sketch

It's time for a Stella Says Sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug. With summer right around the corner, we will have one sketch per month. Bi-monthly sketches will return in September.

Yes, that's right, I made a Christmas card!!! But who could resist this adorable Bugaboo image, Snowman #3. I had to use the color version because with picking up more hours at work, I'm finding less and less time to craft. Now I hope you can join us this month for the latest and greatest Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug.

You're Toadally Awesome!

Did you know yesterday was "Dance Like a Frog Day?" Yeah, me either!! Well our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz is to create a card with a frog on it. I printed off this cutie from Imagine That Digistamp, Skipper's Pocket. The pattern paper is from the Goin' Buggy digi paper pack also from Imagine That Digistamp. Keeping with the polka dotted theme, I used a favorite embossing folder for the black layer. A quick card to create, thanks to the fun pre-colored digi by Imagine That Digistamp. I sure hope you can join us for some toadally awesome CAS fun this week at The Outlawz.
