Beautiful Butterflies

We have a new sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and it's a fun one!! I sure hope you can find some time to give it a try!!

Here's my card, using the latest card kit from My Favorite Stamps, Beautiful Butterflies. Now I'm going to be honest with you, butterflies are not my "thing." I don't have that many butterfly stamps and that's just fine...until I saw the butterflies in this kit!!!!! I love the look multi-layer stamping gives for these beauties! This kit is a must have!!! The strips of paper along the right side is from Paper Trey Ink (love the ombre). Now it's your turn to take a crack at creating something using this fabulous sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Challenges I'm entering my card into include:
Just Add Ink - Ombre
CRAFT - Mother's Day/Female

Happy Birthday to You!

I'm cutting it a little close getting the sketch challenge card done for the From the Heart Blog. I used the From the Heart freebie image Mouse Balloon. My pattern papers from Lawn Fawn just came in the mail yesterday!! I love happy mail!!! The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink, Around & About. Quick and fun to make! Now I can't wait to see what the new sketch is going to be!!!!!

Hey There

Welcome to a new CAS challenge at The Outlawz -- use paint on your project. At first I was kinda stumped until I found an old bottle of white acrylic paint in my stash. All I did was create these stripes on black cardstock. EASY!!! A perfect backdrop for the color layering Rooster from Hero Arts that I received in the mail just yesterday!!! I couldn't wait to ink him up using one of my all time favorite color combos of black, white and red. Now it's your turn to show us what you can create using paint in CAS fashion over at The Outlawz

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
A Gem of a Challenge - Favorite color combo
Animal Friends - No pattern paper/must include an animal
Aud Sentiments - Animal + a sentiment
Little Red Wagon - Down on the farm
Die Cuttin' Divas - Animals

It's an Awesome Day

Today is awesome because not only is it the weekend but also it's the start of a new challenge at Catch the Bug!!! This week it's a photo inspiration challenge. We're still having such warm temps here in Pittsburgh and I am lovin' it!!

But I did go with the skiing theme for my card, using the sweet AKV Winter - Ski image from Bugaboo. I wanted to create a mound of snow but I didn't like white cardstock so I went with vellum instead. To make it stand out a bit, I added Stickles around the edge. Now it's your turn to share your project based on the photo inspiration over at Catch the Bug.

Hi Ya!

It's Oldie But Goodie Thursday over at Catch the Bug. It's fun seeing what older Bugaboo images I have in my stash!! Like this one, Garden Cat - Plant Pot. I've been printing off my images lately then cutting them out with my Scan N Cut so I'm never at a loss for something to create with! Enjoy your day and hope you get a chance to get crafty!!

You Are Tea-rific!

Welcome to another Thursday inspiration day for Imagine That Digistamp. With our unseasonably warm temps here in Pittsburgh, spring is on my mind. So I went with the adorable Sweet Feet Tea set and scrap pattern paper is springy colors. More inspiration can be found over at the Imagine That Digistamp blog, Creative Playground.

Just Bee-cause

Stella has a new sketch for you to try out over at Catch the Bug. I sure hope you can play along!

Here's my take on the sketch, pretty straight forward I know!!! I used the super sweet Bugaboo image Bugaboo Brats Bugs - Boy Bee. Is he not the cutest?!! I had cut him out with my Scan N Cut so he could sit perfectly along the edge of the circle! I want you to take notice that I did NOT use pattern paper on my card...shocker I know!!! The sentiment comes from the Honey Bee Sentiments stamp set at Paper Trey Ink. Like I said, sure hope you can join us for Stella's latest sketch over at Catch the Bug.

Best Wishes

It's time to share our latest Clean & Simple challenge this week at The Outlawz -- create a card with a romantic theme. Because I never seem to have any, I went with an anniversary card. The background makes use of the Guide Lines stamp set from Paper Trey Ink. I used 3 of the new Catherine Pooler inks -- Tiki Torch, Tiara, and Aquatini -- and the felt flower die cut and sentiment are both from Taylored Expressions. I work so much with digital images it's a blast when I get a chance to get inky! I sure hope you can join us for some romantic fun over at The Outlawz, CAS style of course!!

Humor Me Wednesday

Welcome to our Humor Me Wednesday over at Catch the Bug. My "holiday" is Autism Sunday. Now mind you, autism is not humorous, but being the Mom of an autistic young man, there are some days that all you can do is laugh!!! I used the sweet Bugaboo image Bugaboo Brat - Autism Boy. As always, I kept this card very simple. The boy image himself I had cut out with my Scan N Cut (golly I love using that thing!!). Kept the colors bright and fun. Be sure and check out what other DT members created today over at Catch the Bug.

Best Wishes

It's time to share a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I immediately had several ideas of what I wanted to create with this one!

And here's what I came up with. First of all, I used some scrap pattern paper, a must when you have a pile of it as big as I do!!! Then I did some direct to paper with red and green inks then die cut out the Roses in Bloom from My Favorite Things. I ended up doing the inlay technique which is so much fun fitting all the pieces back where they belong. I didn't want this to be strictly a Valentine's Day card so I thought the Best Wishes sentiment from Paper Smooches (Word Up) would help me out on that. Now let's see your take on the latest sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Thinking of You

Welcome to the CAS challenge at The Outlawz. I am your hostess and I came up with a color challenge - brown, ivory, plus one other color. I'm tired of the wintry cold so I decided to go beachy so my third color is aqua. I used the By the Sea 2 stamp set from Gina K Designs for the chairs, By the Sea for the birds, and the Thinking of You mini stamp set from Paper Trey Ink. The center design is the Piestra Tile die from Memory Box. Perfect to allow more of my aqua cardstock to show through. Now it's your turn to share your brown, ivory and one other color projects with us over at The Outlawz.

A new challenge has started over at Catch the Bug, and our theme this week is "Sunshine & Smiles." Boy the DT created some awesome samples for this challenge so be sure and check 'em out!!! Now I can't wait to see what you share with us at Catch the Bug for our Sunshine & Smiles challenge.

I'll be hurtin' when I get up early in the morning though. I had to share the latest sketch challenge over at the From the Heart Blog. There are several optional twists...which I didn't do any of 'em!!

OOPS!!

Well would you look at that, it seems I forgot to post my card for the Sunday CAS challenge over at The Outlawz!!! Our theme this week is to use an animal on your project. I pulled out a Gina K Designs stamp set that needed to see some ink - Primitive Blessings. These cows and sentiment were simply calling my name!!! Okay, so maybe I have a few too many layers to be considered clean and simple, but I like it just the way it is!!! Hope you can join us for our animal themed CAS challenge at The Outlawz.

Picked With Love

Thursdays at Catch the Bug are Oldie But Goodie days. The DT create with older Bugaboo images that perhaps you've forgotten about or actually have never seen. Here I used the sweet AKV Smell the Flowers image. Blue, yellow and red were the colors I immediately thought of when I started coloring her up...so bright and summery, something I am sooooooo ready for!!! I don't usually use much in the way of embellishments, but the little flower center pearls are actually hiding the ugly color I used to color 'em in!!! Save!! Now be sure and head over to Catch the Bug to see what other members of the DT created for our Oldie But Goodie Thursday.

Imagine That Inspiration

It's Thursday, and that means some inspiration from the design team at Imagine That Digistamp. I couldn't resist creating with this cutie from the set Pandas. Even though I adore the papers included in this set, I decided to use up more scraps. I'm lovin' the green, black and white color combo...just might become my new fave!!! Now to see more from the design team, check out our Imagine That Digistamp blog, Creative Playground.
