It's Hip to be Square
There are few things in life that I absolutely love (besides my wonderful family and friends) and they are captured here in this card -- Bugaboo Stamps, Card making, Ice cream and Black and Gold for the Steelers!!! Actually, this card is for the Wacky Wednesday challenge at PCP and CDAC - It's Hip to be Square. I try to play along with this challenge for a chance to win some Bugaboo images!!! Here I used Summer Butterfly Bear Ice Cream and had to go with the black and gold color scheme. My squares of course are the scraps of dsp as well as the sentiment. So fun!! Have a wonderful Sunday, the last day of July.

Lovely Larkspur
What a lovely color combination at Scrapmaster's Paradise. I like that they include the colors of Copics too.
When I saw these colors, I immediately thought of this digital stamp set, Larkspur, from Clear Dollar Stamps. I even used some SU dsp of celery and saffron. Like I've said a hundred times before, it's good to use what I've got!!

Lifting You Up in Prayer
Alright, this card sure was fun to make and an out-right CASE of a card from the magazine Card Creations. I used the digital stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Lifting You Up. I absolutely love this set, I use it often. Now I want to submit this for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge, create a card or project that depicts the sharp contrast of black & white or ivory (I used ivory). I die cut the clouds out of felt, popped up the balloon after coloring and cutting it out, zig zag stitched the scalloped sides (of course in the middle of sewing my bobbin ran out of thread...hate when that happens), and added some pearls to the balloon. Like I said, I had fun with this one.

Let's Do the Hula!
I think I'll just let Baby Ellie do the hula!!! Don't you just love this adorable image from Fresh Brewed Designs?! And, the best part is, she's on sale!!!! Heather is offering 40% off all summer digis and 30% off all summer rubber stamps (quantities of these are limited). Hurry, this sale ends August 3rd.
My card is for the new Freshly Brewed Challenge, shaped cards. Now I have to admit to you, I'm not much of a think "outside the box" stamper when it comes to shapes so this was hard for me. When I got it all done I asked myself, isn't square or rectangle a shape???? Hehe, I'll try any excuse to get out of making a shaped card!!!!

It's Another Sweet Sketch
I think I say that every Wednesday, but if you check out our Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge blog, you'll see what I mean. This is the sketch we are using this week and can't wait to see what you create. Before I show you my card, let me tell you who our sponsor is...
We've got the wonderful Tammi from A Day for Daisies, and she is offering a $12 gift certificate to ADFD shop.
I had so much fun playing with this image called 40's Apron. I actually paper pieced the apron which is always so much fun, I'm simply too lazy to do it!!!!! The papers are from a Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions. This is one great layout, coming together so fast, so please join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Sketch Challenge With a Twist
Happy Tuesday! I wanted to show you the sketch for the month long challenge Fresh Brewed Designs is having over at The Latte Lounge. Yes, I know, July is almost over, but you do have until August 4th to participate. Be sure and use a Fresh Brewed Designs image and the added twist to the challenge, 2 embellishments of your choice.
I decided to do a little Christmas in July...actually, I had this image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Jesus is the Light already colored so why not use it!!!! I added Stickles to the flame and Crystal Effects to the holly berries. My sentiment, though not a circle like the sketch, is a rub-on. My embellies are the rhinestone swirl and velvet brads. Now I hope you can play along too for your chance to win a prize from Fresh Brewed Designs.

Home From Vacation
We drove home yesterday from the beach, how sad. What a wonderful time we had though, lots of beach, sand and sun!! Talk about HOT!!! Thank goodness for the constant breeze coming off the ocean.
Anyway, on to more fun things, like our color challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations - Night of navy, Crumb cake, Whisper white.

Here's my card using those colors...well, almost! I was working hard to get ahead of the game with vacation in the mix when I hurried up and whipped up this card, only to find out I used Not QUITE Navy!!!!! Oh well, it's still dark blue. I was having fun practicing my newly learned manipulations of digital stamps - this adorable Bugaboo Stamps image, Sean, I flipped so the flower is now over on the left!! Oh how the simple things amuse me!!!! Please join in with us at Picture Perfect Creations, we would love to see what you create using these colors!

Get Wild
That's our theme this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges, and we want you to include an animal on your creation. Since we are at the beach this week, I knew I wanted to use Baby Elvis. I paired it up with Basic Grey's Lauderdale paper - love the bright summer colors in this pack. Now be sure and check out all of the other summer images at Fresh Brewed Designs. There are several with really cute animals, perfect for our challenge this week.
Time to go hit the pool, or maybe the beach...oh I don't know, I can't decide, maybe I should do both!!!!!

Sweet Sketch and Digi Stamp Boutique
What an awesome combination of Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Digi Stamp Boutique. First there is this wonderful sketch (isn't it fabulous?!!), and second, we are being sponsored by the lovely Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique (and I ADORE her images!!).
The wonderful prize being offered to our winner is 6 free digis!!!! Oh how I wish I could win!!!!!

I was thrilled to be able to play with this New Home Collection. I really need practice with making clouds because I tried and they looked terrible! I filled in the white space with more sponged blue to cover up my mistake. Guess I should have pulled out my clouds die instead! Anyway, the flowers are die cut then each petal curled and bent a little bit to add some much needed dimension. Enjoy your Wednesday, can't wait to see what you come up with!

Are You Ready...
for a really fun challenge? We've certainly got one at Picture Perfect Creations...2 ribbons and 3 buttons. I am taking an on-line class on digital stamps, and we just learned how to merge two or more stamps. So I had to show off my newly learned skill!!!!! I'm excited because I have tried and tried to do this before without success, and I got to do it with Bugaboo Stamps!!! My two ribbons are gingham, but one is green and the other orange. I made it into this really adorable flower, and when I can find the tutorial I followed, I will link it. Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to see what you create.

Summertime Fun at Clear Dollar Stamps
It's Blog Hop Sunday at Clear Dollar Stamps!!!! Welcome! You should have arrived here from Jan's blog, She's Gone Digital. If not, go back to the beginning at Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp.
I think I gave away the theme of our blog hop with my title, Summertime. And what a wonderful summer it is! As you read this post, I am on my way with the family to the beach for a week!! It doesn't get any better then that!! As for my card, I used Charlie Summer Fun as well as lots and lots of bright summery colors. See, even Charlie needed his sunglasses for these! Anyway, this card sure was a series of unfortunate events, ending in the need to over embellish to hide mistakes. I really should start listening to that little voice in my head when it says "stop, don't do it!"
Remember, there are prizes for two lucky winners, so be sure and leave comments. After my blog, be sure you hop on over to Lorie's blog, Live, Love, Laugh, Create.

A Colorful Clearly Inspired Challenge
Thanks for joining us for our Clearly Inspired Challenge. This time it's a color challenge...aren't they simply fabulous colors??!!! I think so too!!
I could not let this challenge go by without using the adorable Gigi Giraffe digital stamp set and papers. I used the pre-colored digi, but my printer went a little wonky and those blasted lines ended up thru Gigi. So now I have a striped giraffe, a new breed!!!
Join us for this wonderful color challenge!
Also, be sure and come back again tomorrow, it is our monthly Clear Dollar Stamps blog hop. I will be on the road tomorrow heading to the beach for the family vacation!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

This first one is called Patchpal Lamb; I used the pre-colored version because it is such a time saver! I even used the digital papers included in this set for perfect coordination.

Here is the set Larkspur. And the sentiment is newly released and can be found HERE. I started with these beautiful Basic Grey papers to determine my color palette then colored in the flower with copic markers. And did you notice, no sewing!!! See, I can make a card without it!!!!
Well I'm off to do a bit more laundry and packing. We leave for the beach on Sunday and I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Christmas Wishes
Well I had a wish come true the other week...I was chosen to be a Guest Designer for Christmas Stampin' All Year! I was thrilled and honored!! And I had the privilege of using this sketch for this week's challenge. Isn't it wonderful?!!
Of course I pulled out a PaperTrey Ink set called Believe. I heat embossed Santa onto water color paper and used Tombow markers and a blender pen to color him in. I used Basic Grey's Wassail paper and lots of rhinestones! Now be sure to stop by the Christmas Stampin' All Year blog and join us for this sketch challenge. While you're there, take a look at what the DT has created, you will love it!!!!

A Triple Play
No, I'm not talking baseball, but I am referring to the challenge this week at the Freshly Brewed Blog - 3 of something. For starters, I used the digital image Cupcakes in a Row from Fresh Brewed Designs of three cupcakes. Then I used three strips of the green and white polka dotted paper. And last but not least, 3 buttons. Now show off your creation for this challenge, we would love to see it!!

OWH I Miss You Challenge
Happy Wednesday! I was asked by Jan Hunnicutt to make samples for this week's Wednesday Throwdown challenge at Operation Write Home. OWH ships handmade cards to our servicemen and women throughout the world for them in turn to mail back home to family and friends. Our challenge this week is "Miss You" cards. My first card I used a stamp set and coordinating die from PaperTrey Ink called Wonderful Words. I used some wonderful Sweet Threads dsp by Basic Grey I just got.
I have seen many tutorials for these totally adorable Sesame Street punch art characters and knew I wanted to make them for this challenge. Can you imagine a child receiving a card like this from their Mom or Dad!!! I wanted to keep them simple and bright. Now it's your turn to get creative!!! Be sure and post your cards on the OWH blog and thanks for stopping by.
This is my second post for today, so, after leaving a comment of course (LOL), please scroll down for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday post!
Full of Cheer
It's so good to see on this sweet Wednesday. If I may, I'd like to give a birthday shout out to my Mom..."Happy Birthday Mom!!!" And I'd also like to welcome you to another wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. This week we are bringing back a blast from the past, a sketch from the early days of SSW. You won't want to miss this one, talk about fun! And our wonderful sponsor this week...
Three cheers for Stamp Fairy!!! If you like adorable, whimsical images, then you'd better check out the store at Stamp Fairy. And owner Gerda is graciously offering 4 FREE DIGIS to our winner!!
The image I used on my card is called Linda Cheerleader (I simply couldn't resist!!). I even used the freebie sentiment that's pictured with this set. A friend of mine just had knee surgery, so I plan on mailing this out to her to "cheer" her up!! Now please check out what the rest of the DT has made because there are some awesome creations out there!!

All Boy
Look at this sketch, isn't it fabulous?!!! It is for Bugaboo Stamps Wacky Wednesday challenge at Paper Craft Planet. I do love sketches!!
And if I may say so, I love the way this turned out! This is how my oldest has looked all summer, not in the camo pants, but definitely the ear buds in and the ipod on!! Would you believe all of these papers came from my scrap bin!!! How fabulous!!! I've been on a rampage of buying new designer papers, so I need to get myself back to using what I've got!!!! It's not easy though, when you must have that paper fix!!!! And you know what I mean!!! Anyway, thanks once again for stopping by. I've been trying really hard to get ahead of the game this week because we leave for vacation on Sunday! Wish me luck!!!!

I love these colors! I decided to pull out a hostess set I got that hasn't seen ink before this card!!! The set is called Silhouette Sentiments. I used the flowers from that set but found the actual sentiments to be too small, so I grabbed something by AMuse. My Mom's birthday is Wednesday, so in the mail this goes!!!! Pink is her favorite color and she is fascinated when I sew on my cards - so this is perfect for her!! Now it's your turn to show us what you can do with these colors!!!!!
Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop
Welcome to the Fresh Brewed Designs New Digi Blog Hop for July!!!
If you just happened to arrive here, please go back to the start of our hop at Kelly's blog, Sandcastle Stamper.
Now if your are arriving here from Gale's blog, Gale's Playing With Paper (Again), then you are right on track!
What is this hop all about you ask??!!
Sweet Talking!!!
Rich, creamy, chocolaty, fruity, thick, airy, light, sweet and delicious...DESSERT!! Something we all love and crave. Summer time is the perfect time to try ice cream flavors, add fresh fruits to our favorite cakes, pies and cold drinks. You know what I'm talkin' about...and I know your mouth is watering already...because mine sure is!!!
Fresh Brewed Designs has their own special recipe for sweet things and added new ingredients to their already darling Angel Cakes for this image release. Angel Cake loves summer and ice cream and hanging out with her new best friend Huckleberry Pie.
Along this hop you will see Angel, Huck, and some too sweet for words images that have been added to the Fresh Brewed Designs shop.
Now after a busy day of summer timing with good friends and food, Angel Cake needs to relax with a nice long bubble bath! She is definitely a girly girl, so a pink claw foot tub is a must!!!
This "just a little something" is a super delicious banana split! I went a little wild with the ice cream flavors, and only put chocolate sauce on top. I worked in a Dairy Queen as a kid and this is nothin' like the vanilla ice cream with chocolate, strawberries and pineapple toppings I was trained to make!!! Definitely full of yum!!!!
Want a chance to win either of these images and more?!! You will want to hop in full leaving comments on ALL of the blogs in the hop. There is ONE special secret hop stop that is giving away 5 digis of choice!! WOW!!
This hop ends at midnight, so don't wait! HOP NOW!!!
Thank you for your visit, it's time for you to move on to the next sweet stop. Please hop on over to Stacie's blog, Hestia's Helper, and see what delightfully delicious creations she has to share with you today.

Final Day of Our Product Parade
I've had a great time sharing all the wonderful new products that were released this quarter from Clear Dollar Stamps. Today is our final day so let's get started! This stamp set is called Assemble Together. Let me also point out there is a coordinating SVG file for this set, a program that allows your Cricut to do all the cutting work for you! I created a desktop organizer from a PDF I had to hold simple notecards that say "From the Pastor's Desk."
Here is a card using the lovely verse Numbers 6:24-26. I kept it very simple and very soft, so soft that my camera had a very difficult time picking up the colors...it's white and pink pirouette.
If you're a CDS fan, you know Lori always offers a Stamp of the Month set free with required purchase (or it can be purchased out right), and this one is called A Time for Tags. Again I went simple, using up dsp scraps along the way!
My last sample to share if from the set Leaf Hellos. Perfect for a friendly hello!
Thanks again for stopping by for our Product Parade. Be sure and visit Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp for lots and lots and beautiful cards and projects!!!
Just a side note, today is Phillip's birthday...he's 16!!!!!!! YIKES!! Where has the time gone?! He's disappointed that he has to work today...shouldn't it be mandatory to have a day off on your birthday?!! He is so ready for that driver's permit, and after this week of running him around, I must admit, so am I!!!

So Much Fabulousness in One Post
Welcome back to Day 3 of our Product Parade at Clear Dollar Stamps. Grab a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy.
Let me introduce you to Seasonal Swags. Aren't they stunning?!! Being a Christmas craftin' junkie, I had to use the swag of holly. I started with this tutorial for a 2-5-7-10 box...and as many of you know, I am not a maker of 3D items, but this went together so smoothly, I might have to make more!!! I put my Designer Label Dies to use on this one too.

Now this little guy simply makes me smile. I'd like to introduce you to Berry Happy Hedgehog. Isn't he the sweetest?!
Now we're heading back to school with this one! Surprise, surprise, the stores are stocking up with their school supplies already...shhhh, don't tell my kids! Anyway, this stamp set is called My Little Schoolbus. I love it!
Well if we're talking school, we must get preparing for autumn. Take a look at this sweetie from Squirrel Chatter. Fun and fabulous!!!
All of the new releases this month are simply wonderful. Be sure to check out Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp for even more wonderful inspiration. Tomorrow is our final day of the Product Parade, so see you then!
