Let Us Adore Him
And adore him we shall!!!!! I created this card for the sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home. This sure was a fun one. I used one of my digital faves from Clear Dollar Stamps, Manger Lamb. This image also comes pre-colored to save you time. I added some quick coloring with my Copic markers. Colors of cardstock include Sahara sand, Chocolate chip, White, and CDS's Cotton Candy. The DSP is Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather. And, did you notice, no sewing!!!!! I was tired last night...not only did I not sew on this, but I also adhered it all to the card base upside down!!!!!!! How silly is that!! Anyway, head on over to CDS's blog, Clearly iStamp, and check out all the sneak peeks they've been showing for the past couple of days. Tomorrow you'll actually get to buy them all!! Also tomorrow is our Clearly Inspired Challenge, you won't want to miss that...so I'll see you then.

Christmas Wishes
Happy Wednesday everyone!!!! Did you check out this fabulous sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday? It's a real beaut, isn't it. I enjoy sketch challenges, and I am thrilled to be able to play with these every week from Arlana at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Playing along puts you in for our weekly prize, and this week we are blessed to be sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is a Christian digi stamp company offering a wide variety of hand drawn digital stamp designs and sentiments for the digital stamper or scrapbooker. We started out as a clear stamp company back in November 2007 and made the change over to all digital in February 2010. We have hundreds of fabulous digis to choose from starting at just $.99. Check us out at sweetnsassystamps.com.
And Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has so graciously donated a $10 gift certificate to their store for the winner of this week's sketch. That's more than enough incentive to play!!!!!
I was lucky enough to have received this adorable A Gift for Snowman digital stamp to play with! In case you didn't know, I love snowmen, so this was right up my alley! I went with the colors of Cosmo Cricket's DSP called Mitten Weather - Riding Hood Red, Sage shadow, Cotton candy from Clear Dollar Stamps, and White. The sentiment is a rub-on, liquid applique was added to Mr. Snowman's boots and mittens, the snowflake is felt with a cute little button and bow added, and surprise, surprise, a run through the sewing machine was made. Now take a quick trip to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to see the inspiration created by our Design Team. Add some lovely comments while you are there too, they sure do appreciate them.

Deck The Halls
Two clean and simply cards in a row?!?!?! What is this world coming to!!!!!!! I enjoy challenging myself with the weekly Fall to Layouts over at Clean and Simple Stamping. I had to go with the simple pre-colored digital stamp set called Holly Days from Clear Dollar Stamps. I repeated the holly image over a sheet of white cardstock to create my background paper, and printed out the sentiment. I couldn't stand not putting on some sort of embellishment on, so I used three tiny pearls -- ahhhh, much better!!!!!! Like I said, it's hard for me to keep a card simple, but I'm up for the challenge!!!!! Colors of cardstock come from Clear Dollar Stamps too...Lime juice and Cherry Go Round. The border punch is by Martha Stewart.
Have a great Tuesday! Phillip goes for orientation for his new job...he'll be working at McDonalds. It's great that they hire 15 year olds! He already has plans for his first paycheck!!!

Leafy Birthday
Now why is it when I'm in a hurry to post something, blogger acts up?!! Anyway, here is my Father-in-law's birthday card, clean and simple (at least for me it is!!!). I used from PaperTrey Ink their Leaf Prints stamp and die sets. I was at my friends house last week stamping so I cut out a bunch of these leaves for later use. The card base is Kraft and three score lines were run thru the middle (love my Score-Pal). The verbage is from the Birthday Bash set, both inside and on the front. I added the bow for a bit of embellishment and simply had to pop up the leaves. I need to ease into clean and simple slowly!!! Enjoy your day!

Spooky Wednesday
It's Wednesday, and what a sweet day it is because it's time for another new Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I am beyond belief excited about our sponsor this week, Tiddlyinks. Spend some time on their site and you'll see what I mean!
And what is the prize you ask? Well, play along with the sketch and, if your creation is chosen, you could win a $10 gift certificate to spend at Tiddlyinks any way you like! And let me tell you, I like!!!

And what a great sketch, right?! I know I say that every week, but each week I get more and more excited about the sketches!!!!!!! Kudos to our wonderful sketch artist, Arlana.
For my card, I used this adorable Halloween image Higgelty. I dressed her up in the colors to coordinate with the Reminisce papers I just got at my local scrapbook store. And, did you notice my new eyelet circle nestie? I've been playing with that one a lot too! Yes, I ran it thru the sewing machine, I simply like the look. A few sparkly brads, a hint of ribbon, a fun Jolee's spider, and a sentiment from a set of acrylic stamps by My Mind's Eye that I also got at the scrapbook store finish this off. Just in time for the frightful season we call Halloween!!!
If you'd like to see more stunning DT creations using Tiddlyinks digis and the sketch, be sure and check 'em out on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog.

Not only am I feeling better, but I got a card done for two challenges!!!! First off, I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch...it sure is a fun one! And, I went with the ColourQ Challenge - Poppy parade, Old olive, Peach parfait, So saffron and White. I used a digi image from Clear Dollar Stamps called Autumn Blessings. I used my Copic markers to color in this beaut of a pumpkin (screams fall, doesn't it?!). Of course I had to take a trip to the sewing machine too. The corner flowers are felt, and topped with a tiny button and waxy floss. I'm so thrilled to have completed a card, and on the same day at the challenges were posted!!!!!!!! Be sure and come back tomorrow for more eye candy!

Looking Like Christmas
This flu does not want to leave!!!! I was once again down and out yesterday. I honestly have no more to give!!!!!! It's time to get better.
Anyway, I wanted to share two more of my cards featuring the recent digital release over at Clear Dollar Stamps. This set is called Manager Lamb, totally adorable and totally affordable. For $3.50 you will receive 2 images (one is pre-colored!) and 3 sentiments. Now I recently got a light box from hubby for my birthday so I'm still playing around with it all, but the colors are Sage shadow, Kraft and Chocolate chip. The DSP is by Memory Box, and the ribbon is CDS's Soft Mint satin ribbon (yummy!). I had fun making the bow and placing the button.

This is another set that includes some pre-colored images that you can't live without called Holly Days. Now I colored mine in with Tombow markers and the blender pen. Who remembers Basic Grey's Wasail paper? Well I discovered I have more than one (I don't want to admit exactly how many I have!!) of the 6 x 6 pads, so why not start using it!!!! I used Chocolate chip and Sahara sand cardstock as well as water color paper.
Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy hearing from you all. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I get to take my 15 year old son to his first job interview...at McDonalds. He's excited and nervous. He already has grand plans for all the money he's going to make!!!!! Stay healthy!

Let's Show Off Some Digis
Well, as always, I'm playing catch-up. Yesterday I was feeling better so I went to work...wrong move because I ended up feeling lousy and came home early to rest. I'm knocking on wood that today will be better. If only I could eat (and I love to eat!!!) and the aches would go away, I'd be fine!!!
Yesterday was digi release day at Clear Dollar Stamps and today I'm showing you two cards. Come back tomorrow for two more!!! This card uses the set Autumn Blessings. I love the pumpkin, so much fun to color which I did with my Tombow markers and blender pen. The papers are Basic Grey's Indian Summer collection.

Now this adorable image is from the set Candy Cane Poem. Now let me point out that this set also comes pre-colored, and you can see that here...what a fabulous way to crank out some cute cards super fast!!! I colored my image with my copic markers and shined up the berries with some Crystal Effects. I found some scraps of DSP that worked so well together!!
Check out Lori's blog for all the new releases as well as the DT members who are showing off their wonderful creations that are sure to inspire. Come back again tomorrow and see my other two samples. Christmas is in the air!!!

Here's is my card using an older Pirate Josh image. Sally Ann has just released a new Josh looking fine and piratey!! I decided to go Halloween with this one, seeing Josh dressed up and ready for those treats! I did some distressing and sponging, something I don't do very often. I had some Halloween papers with verbage on so I cut out the word "Boo" for along the side. I love the big pumpkin brad and rhinestone swirl, helped me fill in along the other side! Please stop by the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog and check out the other DT members' creations, and don't forget to pass on the love!!

Here is my card using the adorable Stanley Scarecrow. I used my Copic markers on him and cut him out with my Nesties. I used some papers from my scrap bin (I keep hoping some day it will be noticeably less...keep on dreaming!!) and the sewing machine. Okay, I can't follow directions, I always was a rebel! I used five embellies along the side instead of three as pictured on the sketch. Don't tell Arlana!!!!!! But do tell all your friends about this gorgeous sketch and our wonderful sponsor this week - you could be the winner!

Big Bear Hug
I love sketch challenges, and I had to play with the Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge. I had won some stamps from Paper Pretties and my friend Heather, so I decided to put one of them to use. This is Beary Best Friend Cooper, all sweet in his jammies and hugging his teddy bear! I used papers from an old Key Ingredients kit I subscribe to thru Taylored Expressions. Now the candy dots are actually brown, even though they look black on the photo. I got a light box the other day for my birthday (isn't hubby sweet?!!), and this is the very first time for using it. I'm still experimenting and trying to find just the right camera settings.
Have a fun Labor Day Monday...day off from work!!!!! WooHoo!!!

So Thankful
I am so thankful for so many things. Today is my birthday (gotta admit, I'm not so very thankful for turning another year older!), and all the wonderful wishes I've received so far, it is truly amazing and so heart warming!
I wanted to share this card that I'm submitted for two challenges: Critter Sketch Challenge for their Fall challenge, and the sketch over at The Sweet Stop. I used the digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps called Harvest Bounty. I colored in the image with copic markers then cut it out with the Nesties. The DSP is called Walk in the Park by Echo Park - I love the colors! Of course I added some sewing. I'll be posting a card tomorrow that I didn't put any sewing on...GASP!!
I got one boy off for his first day of school today. I told him he gave me the best birthday present ever - he wasn't amused!! But then he's 15 and not much that Mom says amuses him!!! My younger one doesn't start till after Labor Day!! So I will be stamping away next week!!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
