Just For You

I've had this image, a Pure Innocence Digi stamp, colored two days ago, just couldn't find the time to get it made into a card!!! A duel challenge card too - Copic Colour Challenge to use these colors: B02 - Robin's Egg Blue, BV02 - Prune, and YG03 Yellow Green. I used those colors and a few more! The sketch comes from the Try It Out Tuesday challenge blog. I used Basic Grey's Kioshi DP and brads. Cardstock colors include Tempting turquoise, Almost amethyst and Certainly celery. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink, Garden of Life. Thanks for stopping by. If you have some time, check out all the sneak peeks over at Clear Dollar Stamps. They will be available for purchase May 1st!!

My First Easel Card

Can you believe it, this is my very first easel card, and I made it for my last Guest DT challenge over at Creative Inspirations. I have always wanted to try one of these so this was my chance. The card itself is in Almost amethyst (yes, the hater of purple used amethyst!!!). Other colors include Certainly celery and Barely banana, all inspired by the Basic Grey DSP Kioshi. The stamp set is Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits. I used the coordinating Kioshi buttons, two tiny rhinestones, and some white satin ribbon. Thanks for stopping by. Give this challenge a try. I am sad to see my time with this fun challenge blog ending, I had a great time.

My Friend

This card is actually covering two challenges - the sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home, and Paper Sundaes -- 3 pattern papers, 2 cardstocks, and 1 flower. My flower is one of my all-time favorite SU sets, Blossoms Abound. I used an iris and lilac ink from CTMH for the flower (unfortunately it photographed too much on the blue side, but I promise, it's purple) and kiwi and celery inks for the stems/leaves. The pattern paper came from Black & White Basics by Papertrey Ink. And the two cardstocks I used are, you guessed it, black and white. The rhinestones across the bottom are a light lavender because it needed a small pop of color. Enjoy your day - I know I am because the sun is out!

It's Good to be Back!!

I have not been in my stamp room for almost two weeks now! Work has kept me busy, and so tired in the evenings all I can do is fall asleep after I eat my dinner...at 10pm. It felt good to stamp again. I am showing you a quick card for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I used the Patchpal Giraffe by Clear Dollar Stamps, using my Copic markers and white gel pen for a few little highlights. The sentiment is the Men of Life set by Papertrey Ink. Colors include Garden green, Marigold morning, Dusty durango, Green galore and White. The DSP is Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety. This really was a quick card, exactly what I needed to get my groove back!!!

Creative Inspirations Sketch Challenge

What a fun sketch challenge that you really must check out over at Creative Inspirations. Try it out!!! There are some really yummy ribbons up for grabs as well as a chance for the Guest Designer spot for May. I've been having a blast as this month's GD, wish it wasn't ending so soon!!
Now here is my take on the sketch. I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but the lighting wasn't the best. My colors are Creamy caramel, Pretty in pink, Certainly celery, and White. I used the stamp set Quilter's Sampler by PaperTrey Ink - this is the first this set has seen ink, a trait I seem to be saying a lot about my stamps!!!!!!! Anyway, the quilt blocks are punched out and popped up, giving some fun dimension. I used the Fancy Tag nestie for the sentiment. I did some sewing, ran the green circle thru the Cuttlebug to emboss the Swiss Dots, and even added some pearls (surprised, surprise!!). Love the new SU satin ribbon, used Pretty in Pink here. Play along and have some fun!!

Altered CD

You're probably wondering what's going on, a winter themed project??!! Actually, this is my submission for the Creative Inspirations challenge this week - Altered CD. I knew I wanted to build something around my just out of the package snowflake die (mind you, I've had this die for several months now and just now opened it up!!!). The set is by My Favorite Things. I actually did some paper piecing on her coat and boots. And, don't laugh now, used for the very first time ever liquid applique on the top of her boots! What a fun project, hope you can join in and make one yourself. Thanks for stopping by.

Scraps of Blue

I had a copy of Sketch Challenge #275 from SCS on my desk along with some scraps of paper, so what better way to use them up! The sentiment is Proverbs 3:5-6 from Clear Dollar Stamps. I also used some of their new layering weight cardstock called Still Waters. What's nice about their Clearly Coordinating Collection is the matching ribbons, Tombow and Copic markers! Other colors of cardstock include White and Bashful blue. The ribbon is also from the Clearly Coordinating Collection called Bee Pollen. A bit of sewing around each panel and some Basic Grey brads finish this simple card off. As always, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Just Because

That's the inside sentiment on this one. It's so odd for me not to have words on the front of the card. This is actually for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Yep, I know, today is Sunday, but at least I got it done before the next one is posted!!!!! I used papers and stamps from PaperTrey Ink. The stamp, Giga Guide Lines, was inked in white craft and embossed onto Hawaiian Shores cardstock. The DSP is Green Boutique. The green cardstock is New Leaf. I used the Hawaiian Shores satin ribbon (one of my favorite ribbons), did some zig zag stitching on my sewing machine, dry embossed a layer, and added some black pearls. Keep having a wonderful day because Monday is right around the corner...oh hum!!

Two Sweet Baby Cards

Both of these cards are for challenges over on the OWH blog. The first one is a color challenge - blue and brown. The second is for the Gate Fold card technique. Both cards are very similar, using chocolate chip, bashful blue, white, and Sweet Pea DSP. I used the onesie from the Bitty Baby Blessings set by PaperTrey Ink. I did some paper piecing, something I don't often do because of the time involved (remember, I've declared myself a lazy stamper!!!). Some help from my sewing machine, nesties, oval punch and pearls finished these cards off. Guess I'd better make them again but this time in pink and brown!!!!!

Home is Where Your Heart Is

And home is where we stayed today. We had a nice Easter, weather was fabulous, and some chores got done. The kids are off one more day for spring break then it's back to normal we go. I actually got a challenge card done the same day it was posted!!!! I've really been enjoying the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge every Sunday. Another fun one this week. I used the topiary from the set {I Heart} from The Little Paper Shop. I colored it in with Copic markers and paper pieced the pot. Colors of cardstock include Pacific point, Kiwi kiss, and Crushed curry. The DSP is SU's Good Morning Sunshine. I'm off to bed, still not feeling my best. A silly little cold has knocked me for a loop! Have a wonderful rest of your evening.

Words of Sympathy

Words of Sympathy is the name of the Clear Dollar Stamps set I used on this card. It's for the Creative Inspirations blog challenge to use a sentiment only on your card. Once again I pulled out my Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions. I used the brown, blue, kraft and white cardstock included as well as two pieced of the DSP. To add just a hint of another colors I went with the green satin ribbon, also part of the kit. A little sewing, a few pearls and dimensionals, and my card is complete. Spring is in the air, hubby put all the window screens in so we have a nice breeze airing out the house! Gotta love it!!!

Sweet Sketch for Spring

I started playing along with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge, and another fun sketch indeed! I'm thinking spring, even if my colors seem to tell you otherwise! The daffodils are from Flourishes' A Year in Flowers 1 set. I stamped it on watercolor paper and used reinkers to color it - something I don't do very often and really need to practice! After cutting and embossing with an oval nestie, I sponged saffron ink along the edges. My colors of cardstock are Basic grey, Soft suede, So saffron, and Old olive. The DSP is Queen Bee by Pink Paislee (just got it from Jacksonbelle Embellishments). And the embellishments are from my March Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping! Have a wonderful weekend!

Give Thanks to the Lord

Isn't this a great sketch?! It's from the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Challenge blog. They post challenges throughout the week with the sketches on Sundays. For my card I used the small cross from the Prayer Journal set and the scripture is from Tiny Scriptures 2, both by Clear Dollar Stamps. I really enjoy these sketches. If you get a chance, play along also, you'll be hooked in no time!
