A Purr-fect Birthday

Late this afternoon I found some time to hit my craft room and I came up with this birthday card. I needed a few for my stash so I went to work printing up some pre-colored digis and paper. This cutie is called Birthday Kitty and is from Imagine That. The paper, also from Imagine That, is part of the Cat Pack. Once I found the right shades of blue cardstock, this card took no time at all to come together.

Thanks Snow Much!

I'm always in need of some holiday thank yous so the Snowman theme CAS challenge over at The Outlawz was just what I needed to get some done! I used a Bugaboo image called Cute Snowman 4. Since I had the latest ribbon club kit from Really Reasonable Ribbon on my desk, I knew blue was going to be my color of choice. That is actually two ribbons layered on top of one another for my strip under the snowman. I hope you can join us this week for some CAS and snowman fun over at The Outlawz.

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
A Gem of a Challenge - Anything Goes Christmas
My Time to Craft - Last minute Christmas makes

Be Merry

Yep, I'm still crankin' 'em out!!! This is actually a reminder for our Anything Goes Christmas Challenge going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. I used Christmas Tree Latte from Fresh Brewed Designs, coloring it up with my Copic markers. I used the fun sketch I found at Sketch Saturday:

I think this card will be perfect for mailing off a Starbucks gift card to an unsuspecting friend for Christmas!! YUM!!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

I've got several birthdays this month to get cards made for so figured I'd best get started on 'em!!! This one is for my sister-in-law who loves blue. The moment I saw this adorable snowman from Imagine That I knew I had to have it!! This set is called Snowing Cupcakes and talk about SWEET!!! I started with a light stenciling for the background - something I work on since I'm so heavy handed when I sponge. I then die cut that panel out with the Dotted Elements from Avery Elle. The color version of Mr. Juggling Snowman helped me make this card super quick, cutting him out with the Zig Zag Stitched circle die from My Favorite Things. Now to get it ready for the mail. Just like I still need to get all my Christmas cards in the mail!!! Better hurry up!

Merry Christmas

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. I know this is a crazy busy time but I sure hope you can find time to get inky and join us.

Our sponsor this week is Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique. She is so generous sponsoring us each and every month. Please take a moment and go browse thru her store, you won't be disappointed.

I used a pre-colored image from a freebie I scooped up 3 years ago from Digi Stamp Boutique called Xmas Reindeer. I added a shadow around the image with a light aqua copic marker. I had this die cut in mind the whole time when I first saw the sketch for this week. I did have to snip off a snowflake to make it fit but who would ever know (you do now I guess since I just told you!! Hahaha!!). Hope to see you this week as you join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I'd like to submit this card to the customer monthly competition at the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog.

Joyous Reindeer

Check out this cutie!! It's the cookie inspiration for the challenge If You Give a Crafter a Cookie. Imagine That! Digis by Kris is sponsoring their challenge. You have a little over a day to play along for your chance at a $10 gift certificate to the Imagine That store.

I used the set Joyous Reindeer for my card, the color version of course! I sponged around the edges while the image was still in the die. Some paper scraps and a bit of twine and my card is done! I really need to buckle down and get my Christmas cards in the mail!!!

CAS Reindeer Set

We've got an Anything Goes Clean and Simple challenge going on this week over at The Outlawz. Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo!! Good thing I have a few Bugaboo images!!! Yes, I'm being sarcastic!! The hardest part is deciding which one to use for an Anything Goes challenge. I went with the Snowflake Reindeer Silhouette, printing it off 6 times, all in different colors.

And here are all 6, same design just different colors. All I need now is to add the insides and get them into the mail. I don't have one Christmas card mailed yet, these should help give me the kick start I need to get on it!! I hope you can join us this week for our Anything Goes CAS challenge over at The Outlawz.

A Hot Chocolate Holiday

We're back to our regular scheduled programming this week at Catch the Bug. Christmas Chaos was so much fun!! Good luck to everyone, winners will be contacted tomorrow. Today our challenge is Penguin Parade. What's so fun about this challenge is Bugaboo has soooooo many adorable penguin images! I found this one in my already printed pile, Poppi Xmas Cocoa. I knew I had this fabulous sentiment stamp too so this had to be the image for this challenge! Now I can't wait to see what you create for our Penguin Parade challenge over at Catch the Bug.

Christmas Chaos #6

It's Day 6 of the Christmas Chaos challenges going on at Catch the Bug. Today we're "Wrapped in Chaos" - whip up some sort of holiday gift wrap using a Bugaboo oldie but goodie. I went with a gift tag using the adorable Deacon Christmas - Elf Presents. The tag itself is a Paper Trey Ink die, Tag Sale #10. I added the banner die cut (cut from gold glitter paper) to fill in space along the bottom. To tie in the gold, I used gold cording to tie my ribbon together at the top of the tag. For a gal who doesn't do a lot of anything but cards, I kinda like the way this turned out. Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas wrapping for our 6th day of challenges at Catch the Bug.

Christmas Chaos and Humor

Welcome back to Day 5 of Christmas Chaos happenin' over at Catch the Bug. Today you get to pick a treat AND make it funny. My treat is Fruitcake (I'm sorry but YUCK!!) which means use scraps on your humorous creation. This image from Bugaboo, Gertrude - Tinsel in a Tangle, made me giggle when I first saw it. So of course that meant I had to buy it!!! Her reindeer slippers are adorable and what a party with all the Christmas ornaments in her hair!! I want what she's having!! Hahahaha!! Join us at Catch the Bug today and let's tickle some funny bones!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas

We're back with a new sketch for you to try at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs. Heather is a sweet, sweet lady who is also very talented. Be sure and stop by her store to take a look around, I'm sure you'll find something there you simply must have!!

I turned the sketch to accommodate my darling image, Christmas Stocking Girl and Ho Ho Ho sentiment. I hit up my scrap pile and found this fun holly pattern paper. Love the colors, a bit non-traditional which is right up my alley! Don't forget the Anything Goes Christmas challenge also going on at the Fresh Brewed Blog where you can win even more Fresh Brewed Designs goodness! Can't wait to see what you create with our sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Jingle

I can't believe it's Day 4 already of the Christmas Chaos week of challenges over at Catch the Bug. Today it's a recipe challenge - 1 word sentiment, 2 different embellishments, 3 layers of paper. The DT is featuring today's new release, Christmas Moose Ornaments. Isn't this just a sweetie of an image?!! You don't have to use the new release but you can pick him up at 50% off at Bugaboo, so why not add him to your collection! Looking forward to seeing your creations!

Month Long Christmas Challenge

Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas!!! I'm feeling my stress lever creep up with all the holiday preparations but I will not let it consume me this year!! I know, keep telling myself that!!! Anyway, we are having a month long anything goes challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas. Now as you know, I'm not very creative when it comes to Anything But a Card so don't judge! I cut out the adorable Hat Tipping Snowman from Fred She Said and popped it up over a white glitter snowflake die cut. It was attached to a bottle topper over a bottle of hand soap along with some pattern paper and a sentiment. This could also be used for a wine bottle as well...note to self, need to get more wine!!!! Hahaha!!! Sure hope you can join us for our month long challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas.

I found this Bugaboo image, Chimney Santa, in my pile of already printed off digis, so I put it to use...finally!! Simple cards are what I love to create, without much fuss or embellishments! Now let's see what you create for this color challenge over at Catch the Bug.

Greetings of the Season

It's day 2 of our Christmas Chaos week of challenges over at Catch the Bug and today it's a sketch. You know I love a good sketch, especially one that lets me use up some pattern papers!!

And here's my card using scraps along with the adorable Snowman Block from Bugaboo Stamps. This is a great sketch, one I think I will use over and over again. I hope you can join all the Christmas Chaos challenges over at Catch the Bug. Loads of wonderful prizes are up for grabs!

Ornaments

That's our CAS challenge this week over at The Outlawz, ornaments. Bugaboo happens to be our sponsor this month so I used the adorable AKV Elf Star Ornament. I used my Copic markers for color then die cut him out using the Wonky Stitches die by Avery Elle. I can't believe that's my first time for using that die!!!!! I love it!!! Will definitely have to pull it out more often. Join us at The Outlawz for our CAS ornament themed challenge.

Tis the Season

I'm a little sad typing this because this is the last Saturday blog challenge for Miss Rach. But let me tell you, I'm thrilled we got to work with this cute freebie, Santa Starfish. Our challenge is Christmas in the sand. Wouldn't that be wonderful, celebrating Christmas at the beach?!!!!! Ahhhhh, I can almost hear the crashing of the waves right now...okay, back to reality. Join us for our last challenge for Miss Rach's Digital Stamps.

Here Comes Santa Claus

"Here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane." Then why is he on a surfboard?!!! This is what Santa does starting December 26th, he takes a vacation somewhere warm!!! Hahaha!

It's our first day of Christmas Chaos over at Catch the Bug. We have a week of fun and fabulous challenges planned for you to play along for a chance at some awesome prizes. Today's challenge is "Here Comes Santa Claus." For my card, I used from Bugaboo Tropical Santa Surfing. And because he's in the tropics, I went with the fun colors of the beach. I love doing non-traditional colors for Christmas cards!! Now I hope you can join us for the Santa themed challenge over at Catch the Bug.

Merry Almost Christmas!! I'm here to share my card for the Anything Goes Christmas challenge going on all month long at the Fresh Brewed Blog. I used from Fresh Brewed Designs the beautiful Pretty Latte Christmas. She is beautiful, isn't she?!! I decided to shake things up a bit and dress her all up in green. Then I paired her up with black and gold, so classy!! I hope you can join us this month over at the Fresh Brewed Blog for our Anything Goes Christmas challenge.

Jingle All the Way

I am on a roll making Christmas cards! They just bring me joy creating them. Here's a card I made using a set from Imagine That! Digis by Kris called Christmas Sled. Perfect for the dog lover on your Christmas list! I pulled out a roll of washi tape that's been gathering dust and added it for just the right amount of pop. I remember when washi tape was all the rage so of course I bought...more than one!! Now it just sits on a shelf. Time to make a change!!

As you can see, there's a sale going on at Imagine That. All Christmas digis are 40% off for a limited time only so don't wait, head on over and start shopping!!

Fox in Socks

Welcome to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We have yet another fabulous sketch for you to try your hand at! Can't wait to see what you create.

And our awesome sponsor this week is Dilly Beans. I highly recommend taking a moment to browse the store at Dilly Beans. Talk about some fun images!!!

Here's my card, using the adorable Fox in Scarf Framed. I know my title says fox in socks, just getting in touch with my Dr. Seuss side (a long and painful book to read to my one son. And the one he would pic before bed time, always!!)! I colored this guy up with my Copic markers and added highlights to his scarf with a white gel pen. The buttons are die cut out of cardstock...fabulous for a less bulky embellishment. Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Merry Christmas Kitties

For all you cat lovers out there, this week's new release from Bugaboo is for you!! This adorable Meowy Christmas Cats as just soooooo sweet!!! Remember, I'm not a colorer, but this one sure was fun to add some color to! I even followed the current Stella Says Sketch, found at Catch the Bug. While you're there, check out what the rest of the DT did with this image for some wonderful inspiration.
