I'll Always Love You

Oh I have lots of time before this progressive challenge closes!!!! You wouldn't think I had all month to use this fabulous stamp of the month, From the Heart's Love Me Birdbrain. The challenge in which to link up your card can be found HERE. Yep, I've got 8 hours till it closes...lots of time!!!!!!

Sending Well Wishes

Check out the fab sketch over at OWH!! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring them so come and play along.

For my card I used Get Well Critters. I totally adore this sweet deer and couldn't wait to use him. With all the sickies around, I thought I could put this to good use...and quickly! I went with a scallop border die along the side instead of the banners or squares. A bit of a time saver...plus I'm lazy!!! Hope you can find some time to join in with this fabulous sketch over at OWH. Some Doodle Pantry goodies are up for grabs.

A Little Hello

We have a new challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog this week - 1 image (hand colored) + 1 sentiment (on the front of the card). I used this Cute Owl from Fresh Brewed Designs. Yep, I found this one on my pile of digital images I've already printed out for one reason or another!! The very last thing I did when coloring her up was her eyes, and darn it all, didn't I go and use the wrong shades of blue! Well of course I'm gonna go with it because this girl, who finds coloring very stressful, was not about to start all over again!! I pulled these 3 papers out of a paper pack and went to work. Wish I could tell you where I got the sentiment from, but it too was in my pile of printed digis so I have no clue. Sure hope you can join us over at the Fresh Brewed Blog for some challenge fun!!

Sweet Hippie Chick

Time for a new Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 sketch! This one is a blast from the past. It's fun revisiting older sketches.

We have a new sponsor this week, Lacy Sunshine. Such adorable images, so be sure and check 'em out!!! Our winner will receive 3 images of their choice...how fun!!

I had fun with this sweetie, Eleanor Hippie Chick. Peace and Flower Power!! I'm not a big embellisher, so a few brads, some linen thread, and sewing is it. Gray is also becoming my new favorite go to color. Now I sure hope you can join us this week for some sketchy fun at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Hope you can join in on the Clear it Out challenge this week for your chance at some Doodle Pantry goodness.

I used an older set, Tree Glee, with the newly released Yellow and Green Digi Paper Pack. Yes, very simple, I know, and that's just the way I like it!

Now to complete the RAK theme, I'll be sending this off to someone!! Sure hope you can join us for our RAK CAS theme at The Outlawz.

You're So Sweet

School was cancelled today because of the bitter temps. Just got an email that it's closed tomorrow too...an overnight low of -14 will do that!!! And I just live in Pittsburgh, PA!!! Anyway, I'm not feeling 100% today so I'm a little late getting things done, like my post today about the new ANIMALS challenge going on this week at the Fresh Brewed Blog. I used this cutie, Louie's Cupcake, from Fresh Brewed Designs. I love my pattern papers. One of these days I'm going to take the leap and try some of these wonderful techniques out there for my own background paper! I'll let you know when that day is here!!!! In the meantime, I'll keep buying my papers!!

Sweet Fisherman

It's hump day!!! And it's still bitter cold outside!!!!! I know I should be thankful because we didn't get all the snow others have, but I'm sick and tired of the cold!! I know something to keep us warm is playing along with our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

It's time for Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique to sponsor us too! She actually sponsors us every month...how generous, thank you Sally Ann!! Be sure and take a look at her fun and fabulous store too, you're gonna like what you see at Digi Stamp Boutique.

Like this cutie, from the Funtime Dan Set 2. Check out the whole set, talk about adorable!!! I've actually been sending cards to my son at college (yes, the same son who rolled his eyes one too many times when I would show him a card I made, so I never showed him any ever again!!) so this one might end up going there too. He especially likes the goodies tucked inside...like cash or gift cards to his favorite food joints! I sure hope you can join us this week and share your craftiness at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I'm submitting my card to the monthly challenge over at the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog.

So for the next two weeks, I challenge you to some non-traditional colors. Gray, light blue and red, pretty non-Christmasy colors for sure!! Maybe I'll see you there!

It's Your Birthday

Okay, so it might not be your birthday today, but that is the theme for the Come and Get It Challenge that Doodle Pantry is sponsoring. I love when I have just the right ones!! Sure hope you can join in on the birthday theme at Come and Get it Challenge...some Doodle Pantry goodness could be had by the winner!!! FUN!!

I love this expression, I feel like this almost every day!! I'm not a good sleeper so the mornings are especially tough. And I find if I don't have some form of caffeine first thing, I end up with a nasty headache. So here I am, wishing you all, a Java Happy Day. Let's get our caffeine on!!! I Heart You

This is my card for the challenge running this week at the Fresh Brewed Blog - make something with pink, hearts or a Valentine. Snowmen saying "I Heart You" fits the challenge perfectly, don't you think?!! This Fresh Brewed Designs image is called Frosty Hugs and Kisses. I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the hearts then covered them with glossy accents. Lovin' the sparkly shine! My paper is Spice Market by Basic Grey...definitely not a Valentine or winter themed paper, but it brings in the pink nicely. Hope you can play along with us this week for a pink, heart or Valentine challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

No Worries

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the anything goes challenge over at Inspiration Destination. That means the sky's the limit! Use a digital image and you can enter the Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. So many chances to win some Doodle Pantry goodies. I absolutely HAD to use the newly released Aussie Critters from Doodle Pantry...and here's why. My oldest son Phillip studied abroad this past semester in Sydney, Australia. When he came home, his favorite response to anything was "no worries." Well let me tell you, as a mom, I have constant worries!! And his new found, laid back attitude was more than I could take during his Christmas break at home. Well he's back at college having his own worries and I don't hear him say it quite as much!! I think I'll have send this to him, he'll get a kick out of it. Me thinks he'll like it even more if there's something green tucked inside!!!

Mailing Sweet Love

I know I'm going to get a gasp from some of you, but I NEVER turned my computer on yesterday!! And for that reason, I never scheduled my posts for today. You would think this would teach me a lesson to write up my posts as soon as the cards are completed, but noooooooo, why be organized?!!! Above is the fun sketch we have for you this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

And our fabulous sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies. I'm always thrilled when they are our sponsor. Take a moment and look around the shop at A Day for Daisies.

Here's my card, using the beautiful image Mailing Love. Of course I first thought of Valentines Day but this image is perfect for other "occasions." Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
Crafty Sentiments - Include a heart
Crafty Boots Challenges - Hearts and Valentines
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - H is for ... (I went with hearts)
A Day for Daisies - All things Valentine-y

Clean and Simple Sea Critters

Looks like we'll be doing a lot of shoveling today!!! The snow is really coming down! Perfect for staying indoors and stamping. Hope you can because we have a really fun challenge for the CAS group over at The Outlawz...Sea Critters. I found this fun stamp set from Reverse Confetti that I haven't used in a while called Happy Harbor. I heat embossed both the sentiment and strip of silver anchors under the whale. So fun to create. Be sure and join us for some clean and simple fun over at The Outlawz.
