Congratulations
My niece Amanda, the one who I recently went down to FL to visit, just got engaged. How fun, I get to go down again soon, possibly over Labor Day weekend, for the wedding. This is the card I made to send to her. Some call it clean and simple (CAS), I call it quick and easy (Q&E). I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum for postage sake, so why not pop in an embossed layer, ribbon and some sewing for fun. This stamp is from Gina K Designs, Petals & Wings.

Everything Beautiful
Talk about lazy...I finished this card last night but decided to go to bed instead of posting. And I even have my scheduled posts working again!! I simply cleared out the cookies and browsing history and everything works. I'm just proud of myself for thinking to do that.
As for my card, once again, I had this lovely butterfly from Clear Dollar Stamps printed off and just lying on my desk, begging to be made into a card!! So I did, just for the fun of it!! This set is called Everything Beautiful and can be found HERE. I didn't use the papers included in this set, figured I wanted to use some of the dsp I've been collecting!! I have some cards now to send off to the nieces, this is one of 'em. Have a wonderful weekend.

Helllooo...
Now I don't want to jinx myself, but yesterday my scheduled post actually posted!!! So I thought I would try it again...fingers crossed. After all, I had to share this adorable parrot from Doodle Pantry saying "Helllooo." He comes from the newly released set Quirky Parrot. I had printed off this colored image when it first came out, but never made anything with it. Yesterday I had a small window of opportunity to get into my craft room. First, I finished up a DT card and went to take pictures only for my battery to go dead. While it was charging, I pulled out this parrot and the sketch from Seems a Little Sketchy and got to work. I had two cards to take pics of when my battery was fully charged!!
Enjoy your Friday. I have had such a crazy busy week I hope I can relax a little bit this weekend. But probably not because when the week is busy, the weekend is filled with house cleaning and laundry!!! Oh bother!

Beautiful Tulips
Ahhhh spring. Love that time of year, knowing that sunshine and warm summer days aren't far behind. I love the beautiful spring bulbs. We moved into our house the end of October and one of the first things I did was plant some tulip bulbs. As I'm kneeling in the dirt of one of my flower beds, I heard a rustling sound from across the street. Standing there staring intently at me was a beautiful deer. We both stared at each other, sizing each other up. Little did I know that deer LOVE tulips and all those bulbs that I planted in the fall were a late night snack for the family! Tulips were replaced with daffodils because the deer leave them alone!!! Sorry, I do digress.
It's time for another inspiration challenge at Paper Lovin' Gals. What inspires you with the above photo? I instantly saw tulips so I pulled out my favorite Stampin' Up set of all times, Terrific Tulips.
I can't tell you the last time I used a two step stamp set from Stampin' Up! I've been so into digitals lately that I don't go for my rubber or acrylics quite as quickly. That's going to have to change because I just place an order for some clear stamps from Lawn Fawn and Paper Smooches. Anyway, we would love for you to join us at Paper Lovin' Gals for our photo inspiration challenge.

Sweet Stella
First, let me apologize, I am still having issues with my scheduled posts not posting. This is my second one for today and neither one showed up when I got home from an appointment and was able to check my computer. Thanks for you patience.
Happy Wednesday. I know, I say that every Wednesday, but I really mean it because I get to share to latest challenge from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Our fearless leader Arlana keeps coming up with great ones!!
As you can see, Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week, offering 7 FREE DIGIS to our grand prize winner. Be sure and stop by the shop and check out all of Jodie's wonderful images. Here's a little bit about Bugaboo:
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell
decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of
papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That
was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps
is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still
growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all
the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're
bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.
Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every
week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
I couldn't wait to show you my card because I absolutely love Stella. Her sense of humor simply makes me laugh! I want to be just like her when I grow up...which might be a while since I don't plan on having any more birthdays!!! Anyway, this is Stella Tidbits - Grain of Salt. Hilarious, right?!! Such a fun sketch so I hope you can play along. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Photo Inspiration
Hello and welcome to another fun challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog. Use this photo to bring some inspiration into your project. What do you see first? I loved the colors, all the colors of the rainbow. So that's what I went with to create...
this card using a Fresh Brewed Designs digital image called Fairy Lazy Day. That mushroom gave me every opportunity to color it up like the rainbow!! I need a lazy day, this week has been filled with so many things to do that by the time evening comes and I can relax to stamp, I'm so tired I fall asleep on the couch! Today is booked up with lots to do too. Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes. Enjoy your today.

Ice Cream
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? I love mint chocolate chip...YUM! Well I made this ice cream strawberry covered in chocolate...double YUM!! I know, I know, what am I doing making a card with an ice cream cone when here in the northeast we just got dumped with a freak snow storm? Well, in Pittsburgh, we got none, zero, zilch as far as snow. So I thought I'd be a bit sarcastic and make a summery card. I love the colors of the paper, Splash by Echo Park. I already had this Fresh Brewed Designs image colored then went looking for paper. I didn't have to go far, I had the paper pack sitting on my desk from another project. Perfect!
Busy day ahead. Both cats have vet appointments then I have a meeting with Phillip's track coach. As a member of the Boosters, I have volunteered for almost every committee and have to get all my ducks in a row. Now why I threw in laundry too on top of all of this I'll never know. Enjoy your today.

What an Honor
I am honored to be a Guest DT member at Quirky Crafts. Thanks so much ladies!!! Their challenge for the next two weeks is the theme Animal Antics. And if you're creating a card, they want to see your animal on a Wiper Card. Now I had never heard of a wiper card before but it was really quite easy to make, just follow the tutorial found HERE. Their sponsor is Digital Delights by Looby Lou, with a $5 gift voucher for a prize to the winner. I used the digital image Scrubbie Sue and Floaty, colored it up with my Copic markers. The sun is the part that folds up and down, and it is a die cut that I then ran thru the Big Shot with an embossing folder. Be sure and join Quirky Crafts and their fun Animal Antics challenge. And a big shout out to the Quirky Crafts team...THANK YOU for this wonderful opportunity to play along with your challenge! I had a blast!!

Butterfly Bunny
Such a cutie of a bunny! He's Butterfly Bunny digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps. Can you believe it, I didn't use the coordinating papers!!! I went with some scraps in my forever quest to bring that pile down to a more manageable level. I don't think that will ever happen. My next plan of attack is to cut a stack of scraps up into strips and make background layers out of it. Anyway, I want to submit this to Tuesday Morning Sketches, and say "thank you" for such fun sketches! Keep on enjoying your weekend!
Yummy Pie
Well I had this card finished last night, but since my scheduled posts don't want to post anymore, I figured I'd take my time and post it up this morning. This is a "just 4 fun" card, using a darling Doodle Pantry image called Berry Pie. I don't know what got into me, but I used the outline version and colored this myself!!! GASP!! I did use some of the digital paper included in this set, it's so perfect and, well, yummy!!!
It's going to be a rainy day today. That's okay, need to get some house cleaning done then hit my craft room. I also need to get Phillip to the tuxedo shop, he's been asked to the prom!!! How fun!

Happy Mother's Day
It's finally Friday...HOORAY! What plans do you have for the weekend? I'm going to try to catch up on all the things I didn't get done this week because I was so crazy busy!!! I hope you find some crafting time and will join us for our new challenge over at Clearly Inspired Challenges. For the next two weeks we want to see your creations with a Spring theme. I used the Clear Dollar Stamps digital set Tulip Wreath. And I decided to use the Happy Mother's Day sentiment because it's a springtime celebration! I always get my hanging baskets around Mother's Day, then spend the rest of spring chasing the birds out of them so they don't build their nests. I also put my hummingbird feeders out around Mother's Day - they are the most beautiful and fascinating birds to watch. I just love 'em. Enjoy your weekend and I hope you can play along with our spring theme challenge at Clearly Inspired Challenges.

Sweet Baby Girl
I think I have absolutely zero baby cards on hand. I don't even have very many stamps that are baby themed. Don't ask me why because I don't know. So when I saw the challenge over at Quirky Crafts, I figured I might as well play along. The challenge is to make a baby or pregnancy card and include gingham or gingham ribbon as well as novelty baby buttons, eyelets or brads. I couldn't believe I had no gingham paper, so I pulled out some gingham ribbon instead. My little buttons are actually brads!! The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and called AKV Baby Teddy. I pulled some scraps out of my scrap bin and a card is born!! So fun to make too.
Paper Lovin' Gals
Welcome to another installment (the 28th to be exact!) of the photo inspiration challenge at Paper Lovin' Gals. How lovely, so very unique, and full of great inspiration, that's what this photo is all about. What's the first thing you see in this picture? Me, I was inspired by the colors of the sun and sky and for some reason reminded me of an African safari.
So I went with the safari theme, using this TAC stamp that I don't think has ever seen ink...how sad. And I found this big paper pack called Animal Crackers...perfect for what I needed. I have been scrambling lately to finish my cards before deadlines, and this one was no exception! It was still fun to do and besides, it's all about MY inspiration. Now join us yourself at Paper Lovin' Gals.
I've been having problems with my scheduled posts not posting...so frustrating!! Is this happening to anyone else? What have you done to fix it? Please help!!

Pastels and Spring
It's my week to show off another card for our month long challenge at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, spring theme using pastel colors. Our wonderful sponsor is Meljen's Designs, and the grand prize winner at the end of the month will receive 4 free images! How fun!!
Here's my fun card, using Hop Along Bunny. At first I was worried he looked to Eastery, but why would I think that? He's passing out flowers, not eggs or jelly beans!! Anyway, I wanted to keep it simple...actually, I HAD to keep it simple because I was so far behind on my DT requirements and I needed to play catch-up. Hope you can join us this month at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog for our Spring Theme and Pastels challenge.

Donut Worry
Be happy!!! Who wouldn't be happy eating an ooey gooey cream filled donut right now?!!! I must be pms-ing...cupcakes yesterday, donuts today!! This card is for our latest challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog, humor. You can't help but smile and maybe even chuckle a little at a sweet little donut telling you to "donut worry." This is an image from Fresh Brewed Designs and you can find him HERE down the Fun Foods aisle. I used my copic markers on this guy and some scraps of papers (will I ever use it up?!!) along with some brads. Going for quick and easy here!
Heard some good news today...remember my niece who lives in Florida that I visited last month? Well she called me today to say she's engaged!!! They are planning to get married Labor Day weekend. I'm already on the Disney site looking at where I want to stay! And I just realized, I'll be celebrating my birthday when I'm down there as well!!! How fun!!!!!

Sweet Little Piggie
It's Wednesday, thank goodness. I've been busy with so many things, I need this week to be over so I can have the weekend to recoup. I'm also happy when it's Wednesday so I can show you the latest and greatest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. How fabulous it is, another great way to use up some of those designer papers that have a way of collecting!!!
Our sponsor is the one and only Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique. She is so generous, sponsoring us once a month. And the grand prize is 6 free digis of the winner's choice!! One problem though, narrowing it down to just six!!!
I had to use the piggie from the Spring Animals Collection. I mean, have you seen a cuter pig than this?!! I must be into pigs, I had a post yesterday showing off a pig card I made!! Anyway, I sure hope you can join us this week, we always love to see what you create for our challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

New Digis!!
It's digi release time at Clear Dollar Stamps! I always get so excited when I can show you what I've created with these wonderful sets! You can see them all HERE on the CDS blog. The two sets I worked with can also be found in clear acrylic form as well as digital. My first card I used Farm Critters...and I used the outline version and colored it, if you can believe that!!! But for $4, you get outlines, colored versions, papers and sentiments! What a deal!!!
Here I used the set Sheltering Light, and this time I used the colored version and papers. I was really happy how this one turned out. I think it's the pops of black that really make it clean and striking. This set is only $3.50 for multiple outlines, colored images, papers and sentiments. You can't go wrong with that!!
Another crazy busy day. Our furnace went wonky last night, so I have to hurry up and run my errands in the morning so I can be home when the furnace guy comes. That should give me time to get cards done...for tomorrow!!!!! Yikes, how did I get so far behind?!!

Celebrate With a Cupcake
With all the birthdays I have coming up over the next few months, one more b-day card on hand is perfect! And a card with a cupcake on is even better...so what does it make it if a card has three cupcakes on? Pure heaven I'd say!!! This is a Fresh Brewed Designs digital image I used called Sweet Cupcakes in a Row. I used Copic markers, a little bit of sparkle, some scrap paper, ribbon and rhinestones, and a birthday card is born! Enjoy your day. I've got another busy one planned. Sure hope I can get done everything I need to...wanna help?!!!

We're Not Horsin' Around
I have two blog hops going on this weekend. Please check out my Fresh Brewed Designs post HERE after you've read this one and left a comment! Because today is our Clear Dollar Stamps blog hop in which we aren't horsin' around!! That's right, we're featuring the beloved Charlie the Horse this month. Now you should have arrived here from Darling Deonna's blog, For the Love of Card Making. If not, please head back to the beginning at the CDS blog, Clearly iStamp. Staying true to myself, I was running quite late getting this card done, so a pre-colored image it had to be!! I used the digital set Patriotic Charlie to help me out on the time crunch because I was able to print off the image, sentiment, and papers all from one set. It's hard to decide which Charlie from this set is more fabulous!!! Don't worry, I printed off the other one at the same time for the next time I'm in a bind!! Next you're going to want to head on over to Kathy's blog, DunnitAgainDesigns, for even more sweet inspiration. Be sure and comment on all the blogs, it will increase you chance to win our prize, a $25 gift certificate to CDS for digital stamps. Our winner will be announced Thursday on the CDS blog.

Merry Christmas???
Yep, that's what I said, Merry Christmas!!! Well I've created this card for the One Stop Craft Challenge, use 3 circles. And since the sponsor is Doodle Pantry, I knew I would have to play along!!! I used three images from the 12 Days of Christmas Color set and the sentiment is from the Holly & Juniper Pre-Colored set. I loved the purple of the partridge (yes, you heard me right, I loved the purple!!) so I went with that. Besides, I had this scrap piece on top of my scrap pile so why not use it!! Play along for the chance to win some fabulous and fun Doodle Pantry images of your own.

Love Our Earth
I have one busy day planned today, but I wanted to show you a new and fabulous digi set Doodle Pantry has released. It's called Love Earth (see it pictured below) and perfect for Earth Day. I wanted to make a quick card, and quick it was!! I had to use the colored image but I printed it twice so I could cut it out for a little dimension. I sponged around the cut out layer for even more depth. I went with my favorite size of card, 4.25" square, and the only embellishment (at least I like to think of it as an embellishment) is some sewing.
This set is now free with purchase. BUT, if you were signed up to receive the Doodle Pantry newsletter, you had the opportunity to receive it FREE!! Some other news, since the April newsletter was late going out, Doodle Pantry owner Laurie decided to extend the NO FOOLIN' special (25% off your entire cart when you use the code NOFOOLING) until April 24th! Now you can make a purchase and receive the new Love Earth set for free!! Fabulous!

Have a Honking Good Day!
Happy Thursday!!! Both boys are back in school - spring break was simply too, too long! Anyway, since it's Thursday, I have a new Paper Lovin' Gals photo to challenge you with. What inspires you? Now for some reason, I had a real hard time with this one, I don't know why. I couldn't get past those banners (or are they called buntings, not sure). So that ended up being my inspiration.
And here's my card and my attempt at just one string of banners. I couldn't wait to use this recently released digi from Doodle Pantry called Clown Birdie. Hey, I know what you're gonna say, clowns are freaky. Take a look at this cutie of a clown birdie and I think you'll change your mind, at least for the moment!! I used the pre-colored image as well as the digital papers. Such a fun challenge, hope you can join us at Paper Lovin' Gals. Remember, it's whatever inspires YOU. I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, it's a beauty.

Serving Up a Sweet Birthday
Hope you are having a sweet Wednesday so far. Such a cold day today. I need sunshine and warmth!! Actually it's supposed to warm up by the end of the week...HOORAY! If it's cold where you live, why not stay inside and get inky with our fabulous sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. And check out our wonderful sponsor this week:
Thank you so much for having us, and again the very best of luck to all of you.
Judy and Joy
Here is my card using a Digi Doodle Shop image called Special Delivery. Is he not adorable, delivering a yummy cupcake to one lucky guy or gal!! I am always in need of birthday cards so how perfect. Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Tonight starts hockey playoffs. I'll be rooting my team on...Let's Go PENS!!!
Digi Doodle Shop is the results of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts. It was started a little over 3 years ago with a little more than 100 stamps, and has since then grown to almost 500 stamps. Joy
(the mother of this team) designs realistic images, while Judy
(aka/daughter) loves the “fun side of life”, and create images with a
cartoon flair. Having these two complimenting styles have enabled
Digi Doodle Shop to offer a wide variety of stamps.
It is a real honor and pleasure to sponsor this challenge, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing creations. We thank the design team for their incredible creations, and wish all the participants the very best of luck in this challenge.
Thank you so much for having us, and again the very best of luck to all of you.
Sincerely,
Judy and Joy
Digi Doodle Shop is offering a prize of a $10 store gift certificate good for ten days upon receipt. How fun!!!

Girls Night Out
It's Wednesday and time for our fun new challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. Our theme this week is "Friendship." I thought about what I like to do with my friends, and going out to eat ranks #1!! Any meal works for me, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or even just a quick trip to Starbucks, love it! So I used the Fresh Brewed Designs image Coffee Talk. Hope you can join us for this fun challenge. And don't forget about Heather's birthday blog candy...read all about it HERE.

Made Espressly for You
I am so ready for spring break to be over and the kids back in school. Actually, Kevin is back, thank goodness for him because he thrives on routine...and I'm afraid he's lovin' his new routine of NOT going to school!! Phillip followed me around the house all afternoon announcing he was bored. Any suggestions I gave him were not met with rave reviews!!!! He doesn't go back to school until Thursday! Yikes! This evening I was able to steal away to my stamp room and make this simple card. I used one of my favorite Fresh Brewed Designs images, Latte Love. I'm trying something new with my coloring and boy do I need the practice! I'll keep working on it though. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday, it's supposed to be cold here today, just into the 40's. I miss those warm temps we were teased with in March.

Best Buds
Now there's some good friends for ya! Best Buds to be exact!! This is one of the new digis released this month at Fresh Brewed Designs. Being the Mom of two boys I am so drawn to those masculine images! These two are so sweet, especially the one on the left with his toothless smile! That's why they sentiment "Sending smiles across the miles" seemed oh so right. I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches for this one...I do love a good sketch!! The rest of the DT created some wonderful inspiration so be sure and check them out HERE on the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Let's Celebrate
Happy Easter! We had our big meal for lunch since Phillip had to go to work. So now I'm just relaxing in my stamp room and getting inky. As you can see, I am all set for some upcoming birthdays with this set of cards I created using the newly released Birthday Accessories Color digital set from Doodle Pantry. These sure were quick and fun to make. I've been wanting to make up some gift sets of a variety of cards for all the wonderful teachers, therapists and aides that work with Kevin, so these might end up there instead. Enjoy the rest of your day, hope you are spending it with those you love.

Wanna Do Lunch?
Okay, I couldn't wait to show you this card!! It's for the Clearly Inspired Challenge, Go Green. Now you can interpret that as you wish - shades of green, something recycled just to name two. I went with the color green because of the new digital set Hoppers from Clear Dollar Stamps. By participating in our challenges this month, you could win this set for FREE! I paper pieced the frog's body, sponging around the bottom of the piece for a little dimension. I followed the great sketch over at Quirky Crafts, I love the off set layer. Initially I was going to use my sentiment as the thin strip on that layer, but it was a bit too long. So use some ribbon and cut up the sentiment into words and we have a card! Hope you can join us for our Clearly Inspired Challenge.

Pretty Eggs
It's Thursday, spring break has started here and the boys couldn't be happier. Phillip still needs to get up and get himself to track practice though. No sleeping in! Thursdays also mean a new inspiration photo at Paper Lovin' Gals. Such beautiful eggs, aren't they. That was the inspiration I pulled from this picture.
And here's my set of cards, using a pre-colored digital set from Clear Dollar Stamps called You're Eggs-traordinary. This set contains three different colored eggs as well as the outlines, but I decided on one design so I only had to print one of the papers. I needed to get these made and in the mail for the nieces...before Easter was over!!!! They are so used to my disorganization and would have laughed receiving an Easter card two weeks late!! I used the fun sketch from Skipping Stones Designs, it worked perfectly for this image and sentiment. Now let's see what inspires you with our photo and join us at Paper Lovin' Gals.

Think Spring
This is my third post today, so after reading this post, scroll down for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog entries.
Hard to believe it's April...where did March go? We are definitely into spring and I love it!! Something else you're going to love is our new challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. It's our month long prize challenge too and we are asking you to Tie It Up. I used the adorable Fresh Brewed Designs image Angel Cake Flies a Kite. I adore this image, plus it forces me to practice making my clouds. And you probably can guess it, I goofed and had to use my sentiment to cover it up!!! I knotted some twine on the kite string and tied a bow with my all time favorite black gingham ribbon. Be sure and play along at the Fresh Brewed Blog, we love to see your creations.

Happy Easter
If you're looking for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday post, please scroll down. Be sure and check out this Happy Easter post for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog though before you go because you are going to want to play along!!! First of all, our sponsor is the wonderful Meljen's Designs. And our challenge is to create a spring themed card using pastels. At the end of the month a grand prize winner will be chosen to receive 4 free digital images from Meljen's Designs.
Here is my card, using the adorable Sew Country Bunny. I am not very good using pastels so I let this fun Easter paper do the talking for me in determining my colors. And the fun layout let me using my sewing machine...a lot!!!! Hope you can join us this month for our April challenge, Spring theme using pastels.

Sweet Kindness
Happy Sweet Wednesday!! My boys are excited that it is Wednesday because they are off school starting tomorrow. Phillip and Brian are going for a college visit on Friday, to The Ohio State University. It has been Phillip's #1 choice in colleges since we started talking about them. Speaking of #1, the sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday are #1 in my book. Check out the one we have for this week...what a beaut!!
And we have yet another wonderful sponsor, Sassy Cheryl's. Here's a little bit about her:
"Hi everyone! Sassy Cheryl here and I’m so happy to be sponsoring the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week.
I
have been creating graphics and have licensed my work to companies such
as Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and Shopko, among others, for over eight years. I
started creating digital images about twelve years ago. I absolutely
LOVE to draw and always carry a small sketchbook for those times when a
bit of inspiration hits. It's been a lifelong dream to become a working artist, and besides deadlines, I LOVE everything about what I do! It really helps that I have a very supportive husband and son (they also can be my biggest critics!)
The prize this week is a $5 gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's...how fun!
And here's my card using Arlana's fabulous sketch and the adorable Sassy Cheryl's image call Bird Houses on the Hill. I found some bright papers to really make this adorable image pop. Check out what the rest of the SSW DT did on the challenge blog HERE then join us for a fun sketch, and maybe you could even be our grand prize winner!!!! Fabulous!
