Feeling Pasture Prime?

This is my last sneak peek to share with you. As a matter of fact, this is my last day as a member of a wonderful design team for Clear Dollar Stamps. My term is up and I want to thank Lori and Laurie for such a fabulous experience!
Now on to the card --- yep, you guessed it, another Farm Critters example (told you it was my favorite set!!!). Miss Pink Cow was dolled up with my Copic markers then cut and embossed with my Nestabilities. The white layer was embossed with the argyle embossing folder. Other colors include Chocolate chip, Pink pirouette and Riding hood red. I used the Riding hood red satin ribbon along the side as well as various sizes of rhinestones. Of course the image and sentiment are popped up (I go thru pop-ups like crazy!!!).
Happy New Year's Eve everyone!!! Stay safe tonight. We'll be staying in watching movies and stamping (gee, I wonder who will be doing the stamping in a house full of men!!!!!!). See you next year!!!!!!

Eggs-tra Special

Not a good day for taking photos! I'm having a time of it!!!!! This sneak peek is again from my favorite set Clear Dollar Stamps is releasing tomorrow called Farm Critters. The verbage is Critter Messages and a wonderful array of sentiments to go with a wide variety of animals. This is a folded pop-up card that I got the directions for from SCS. I covered the folded base (Not quite navy) with the coordinating wheel called Farm Sounds. The chick was colored using Copic markers, punched out, layered up, and popped up. I love the striped grosgrain ribbon by SU, this one is Tangerine Tango. This card was so much fun to make and it's amazing how flat it will fold up to!

You're Amoozing!

Sneaking in for another peek, are you??!! Well today I am featuring two new sets being released on Thursday from Clear Dollar Stamps. The animal set is called Farm Critters (my absolute favorite might I add!) and the verbage is from Critter Messages (this is an amazing set of sentiments to go with so many different animals!!!). Yep, you guessed it, I used my Copic markers on the cow and haystack. The hay I embellished with Crystal Effects (love the added shiny dimension). Quite the array of colors too -- Riding hood red, Sahara sand, Cool Caribbean and Chocolate chip. The ribbon is Tangerine tango and photographed a little too orange I think. I used my sewing machine around the edges of the caribbean layer which is Cuttlebugged embossed. Brads and dimensionals add the final touches. Mooooore sneak peaks are a-comin' so see you again real soon!!!!!

You're One of a Swine'd!

I think I should post a warning, be advised, some really cute stamp sets are about to be shown!!! I am continuing to show you my sneak peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps new Jan. 1st releases. I think I said the same thing about the Winter Eskimo and Snowshoe wheel that I showed you the other day, this one is a must have too! Farm Critters and Critter Messages are the stamp sets and Farm Sounds wheel is also featured (with a neigh neigh here and a baaa baaa there). Piggy was brought to life with Copic markers. This was a color challenge for all Design Team members - Baja breeze, Close to cocoa, Taken with teal, and Groovy guava. I had found the guava piece in my stash of embossed pieces and knew it had to be used! The Farm Sounds wheel was inked in teal and stamped on the baja breeze layer. I then did some paper piercing along the side. The sentiment from Critter Messages was stamped in Chocolate chip and punched out. Some ribbon, dew drops, and primas and it's complete!!

Feeling Coopy?

It's so good to see you again!! Yesterday we traveled to my parents' for a holiday gathering. We spent the first part of the afternoon glued to the TV watching football (way to go Steelers!! Poor Big Ben!)(And this is for Stacy, way to go Colts!!) then we opened some presents. Of course eating was involved too, lots and lots of it!!

My card is a sneak peek of a new set being released Jan. 1st by Clear Dollar Stamps called Farm Critters. I love animal stamps and this set is a must have! I used my Copic markers on the chickie, punched her out, added lots of dots, and layered her up! The yummy rust wide satin ribbon I've had for quite some time, it's just hard to cut into something so beautiful!!! The designer paper is from DaisyD's and perfect with the hen. I added some stitching with my sewing machine and brads around the punched out sentiment. Colors include Basic black, Really rust, Summer sun, and Very vanilla.

I've gotta get ready for work, but wanted to tease you with a look of what's to come!! Come on back now, ya hear, for more sneak peeks of this adorable set!!!!!

CDS January Release Sneak Peeks

Today's starting the sneak peeks of the January release over at Clear Dollar Stamps. What a thrill when I received this set and wheel, Winter Eskimo and Snowshoe Wheel. I think they are adorable and I know you will agree! This card is 5" square and, believe it or not, the base is Close to cocoa, not Chocolate chip (my all-time favorite color!). I also used Ballet blue and Certainly celery. The Eskimo boy and girl were colored in using my Copic markers then cut/embossed using my Nestabilities. The green layer I used the Snowshoe Wheel, inked it in Kiwi kiss, and went to it! The sentiment, I thaw for you, was punched out with the word window punch and attached using dimensionals. Embellishments include the wide organdy ribbon, pearls, and an adorable fish button by Making Memories, the whole inspiration for this card!!

Keep stopping by, more sneak peeks are comin'!

Just Chillin'

This card fulfilled two of the challenges presented to the DT members for the Jan. 1st sneak peeks at Clear Dollar Stamps - a sketch challenge as well as to use a charm. I started out with this as a 5 x 5 square card but just didn't like it so I scaled it down to 4.25 square. I found the fish charm at JoAnn's which went perfectly with this stamp set, Winter Eskimo. The square layer in the middle of the card is making use of the Snowshoes Wheel also by Clear Dollar Stamps. Colors used include Sahara sand, Chocolate chip, Tempting turquoise, Really rust and White. Once again I used my Cuttlebug to emboss - I couldn't live without that machine!!! The sentiment is held in place by a small clip by SU. I colored in the Eskimo boy with Copic markers and popped him up. Ribbon and rhinestones and the project is complete.

Box Full of Yummy!

Another Clear Dollar Stamp sneak peek using the Winter Eskimo set being released Jan. 1st. Now if you know me at all, you know I am not a fan of purple, light purples especially. This was a color challenge given to the DT members so, like any challenge, I decided to accept. We were also challenged to make or decorate a box. I had seen this Acetate Box on SCS and had always wanted to try it...so why not now! The yummies inside??? They are positively scrumptious cheesecake Hershey kisses!! "Yummo!" (in my best Rachel Ray voice!). The Eskimo girl is colored in with my Copic markers then popped up on the front of the box. The fish is stamped in Chocolate chip on So saffron, cut out and popped up also. I will definitely be making more of these sweet little boxes!!!

Hugs & Fishes

This is a new stamp set sneak peek by Clear Dollar Stamps being released Jan. 1st called Winter Eskimo. I thought this set was super sweet!!!! I colored in the girl with my Copic markers, sponged around her with Bashful Blue ink, then glistened up the snow with Stickles. Two ghostie stars are being held together with a rhinestone brad. Some embossed layers, satin ribbon (thanks Peggy!), and gold brads finish it up. Of course the main image is popped up with dimensionals. Oops, almost forgot to tell you colors I used -- Chocolate chip (surprised?), Tempting turquoise, More mustard and Ruby red.

Snow is Glistenin'

Hold on to your hats, I've made AND posted two cards in past two days!! Gotta be a first for me. Still no packages wrapped or all my holiday baking done, but that's okay, I'm determined not to stress over the holidays this year. I need to be quick with this post too, my Pittsburgh Steelers are on and I have to watch the game!! This is a double challenge card from SCS - Featured Stamper is Paula Tracy and what a gallery she has. I cased this card (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/954125?cat=500&ppuser=44919) of her's. I also played along with the holiday extravaganza challenge for today - squares, scallops and sentiments. The card base is PTI white and the other colors are riding hood red and bordering blue. The designer paper is by Lizzie Anne. This cute little snowman is by Hero Arts. Thanks for stopping by and can I hear you say "GO STEELERS!!!"

Snowy Days, Frosty Nights

Well, well, well, how are all of you? I have been very busy with work and the holidays, but I'm making sure it doesn't stress me out like it usually does. Do I have all of my shopping done? Don't know! And are my presents wrapped? Now you know that's a "NO!" Anyway, the tree is up along with a few other decorations and the kids couldn't be more thrilled!
Yes, this is the first card I have make in over a week! SCS is having a Holiday Challenge Extravaganza, posting extra challenges so I thought I would try with all my might to play along. This was an inspiration challenge right up my alley because it involved brown! I love it and use it often! This card is made using chocolate chip, naturals ivory, close to cocoa and always artichoke. The designer paper is SU's Au Chocolat. The stamp sets are by Papertrey Ink - Rustic Snowflake and Made of Snow. The ribbon is also by PTI, ripe avocado twill. A build a brad, gold brads, some distressing and sponging finish it off. Thanks for stopping by. I will try to keep up on my blog a bit better for the new year...let's see if I can do it!!!

Happy Holly-days!

What a busy week at work!! Plus, I'm trying to get ready for stamp camp this Sunday. The only problem, by the time I get home in the evenings, I'm so tired I end up falling asleep instead of making cards and putting together the kits for stamp camp!!!

Just yesterday I received these wonderful Lockhart images thru Wish RAK and knew I had to make something right away. I found this sketch that was used, I think, on SCS for World Card Making Day. The Holly Cupcake was colored in using Copic markers and the berries were then glitzed up with a Spica glitter pen. The embossed white layer makes use of my favorite Snowflakes folder. The designer papers are by Cloud 9 and Adornit. The sentiment is by Verve Stamps -- I stamped it in black ink, punched it out with the word window punch then layered it on the small and large oval punches. It too is popped up along with the cupcake. I'll have to make up a few more of these images because we have several late December birthdays. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful Thursday!

Merry Holly Christmas

I finally finished my card for the Clear Dollar Stamps color challenge found on Paper Craft Planet. I was glued to the TV watching the Steelers beat the Cowboys (!!!!!) that I totally forgot to finish up my card! The colors that were called for were Taken with teal, Real red, and White. We also needed to use Clear Dollar stamps - here I used the set called Holly Builder. I also followed a sketch challenge found on SCS. Love, love, love that snowflakes embossing folder for the Cuttlebug, I definitely pull it out often. The scalloped squares as well as the holly/teal layer are popped up with dimensionals. I used one of the hat pins from the Pretties kit along with Pewter hodgepodge hardware. The gingham ribbon I found in a drawer -- if I were an organized person it would have been in my ribbon drawer!!!!!!! Thanks so much for looking!

I Can Do All Things Through Christ...

except do a challenge card on the day it's been posted!!!!!!!! Actually, this one isn't bad for me because this double challenge card is for both the sketch challenge (205) found on SCS and the Color Throwdown Challenge (pink, black, green) from yesterday. I know the sentiment, a Plain Jane from Verve Stamps, is a little big for the sketch but I felt inspired to use it. The colors are Rose red, Pink pirouette, Black, Kiwi kiss, Very vanilla and Parisian Summer DSP. A bit of kiwi kiss satin ribbon and two Prima flowers held in place by a pearl brad finish it off. Thanks so much for looking and letting me know you stopped by!

Riley, You're the Man!

FINALLY!!!!! Yesterday I tried so many times to post this card with no success...talk about frustrating. Anyway, I tried really hard last month to complete the three challenges in the Wish RAK forum but didn't get the male card done -- and I even had this image already colored!!! Well Riley ended up taking a different direction of colors than what was required in the challenge because I love the Basic Grey line Urban Praire. The colors I used were Basic black, White, So saffron, Taken with teal and Baja breeze. I had to play with my favorite long rectangle nestabilities too!! The saffron layer is embossed using the Houndstooth embossing folder. Riley was colored in with Copic markers, cut out and embossed with the circle nestabilities, layered and popped up. A touch of ribbon and some hardware and life is good!! I think I'll send this to my Dad for his birthday next month.

Happy Birthday Emily!

Our niece's birthday is today so I had to get to work fast to get something done and in the mail. I had already had this image colored so it was just a matter of putting it all together. Thank goodness for the Wish RAK group on SCS. You post a wish and a very generous person will grant your wish! Talk about fun mail. This image is from My Favorite Things and a real beaut'. My colors are Elegant eggplant, Taken with teal, Green galore and Groovy guava - quite the combo I know but I love experimenting with colors.
It's a miserable day, cold, windy and rainy/snowy. I have the day off along with the kids so it looks like some Christmas cookies will be getting in the oven soon!
