This is my third post today, so after reading this post, scroll down for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog entries.
Hard to believe it's April...where did March go? We are definitely into spring and I love it!! Something else you're going to love is our new challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. It's our month long prize challenge too and we are asking you to Tie It Up. I used the adorable Fresh Brewed Designs image Angel Cake Flies a Kite. I adore this image, plus it forces me to practice making my clouds. And you probably can guess it, I goofed and had to use my sentiment to cover it up!!! I knotted some twine on the kite string and tied a bow with my all time favorite black gingham ribbon. Be sure and play along at the Fresh Brewed Blog, we love to see your creations.

Happy Easter
If you're looking for my Sweet Sketch Wednesday post, please scroll down. Be sure and check out this Happy Easter post for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog though before you go because you are going to want to play along!!! First of all, our sponsor is the wonderful Meljen's Designs. And our challenge is to create a spring themed card using pastels. At the end of the month a grand prize winner will be chosen to receive 4 free digital images from Meljen's Designs.
Here is my card, using the adorable Sew Country Bunny. I am not very good using pastels so I let this fun Easter paper do the talking for me in determining my colors. And the fun layout let me using my sewing machine...a lot!!!! Hope you can join us this month for our April challenge, Spring theme using pastels.

Sweet Kindness
Happy Sweet Wednesday!! My boys are excited that it is Wednesday because they are off school starting tomorrow. Phillip and Brian are going for a college visit on Friday, to The Ohio State University. It has been Phillip's #1 choice in colleges since we started talking about them. Speaking of #1, the sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday are #1 in my book. Check out the one we have for this week...what a beaut!!
And we have yet another wonderful sponsor, Sassy Cheryl's. Here's a little bit about her:
"Hi everyone! Sassy Cheryl here and I’m so happy to be sponsoring the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week.
I
have been creating graphics and have licensed my work to companies such
as Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and Shopko, among others, for over eight years. I
started creating digital images about twelve years ago. I absolutely
LOVE to draw and always carry a small sketchbook for those times when a
bit of inspiration hits. It's been a lifelong dream to become a working artist, and besides deadlines, I LOVE everything about what I do! It really helps that I have a very supportive husband and son (they also can be my biggest critics!)
The prize this week is a $5 gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's...how fun!
And here's my card using Arlana's fabulous sketch and the adorable Sassy Cheryl's image call Bird Houses on the Hill. I found some bright papers to really make this adorable image pop. Check out what the rest of the SSW DT did on the challenge blog HERE then join us for a fun sketch, and maybe you could even be our grand prize winner!!!! Fabulous!

Happy Cinco de Mayo
Happy Tuesday and welcome. Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches this week so of course I had to play!! I love this digital set, Sombrero Hat, that was just released this month from Doodle Pantry that I had to use it. Now I hope you're sitting down for this, but you know I am a HUGE fan of the pre-colored digis, which one is included in this set, but I actually colored this one myself!!! Shocked? I know I am!! I was also playing with merging the digis and having fun with it. Hope you can play along with this fun sketch. Use a Doodle Pantry image (check out the freebie section) and you could also enter it into our Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge. Enter and receive a sweet free set, Quirky Parrot. How fun!!!
Home Grown Tomatoes
Alright, I might be jumping the gun a little bit, but the moment I saw this image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Grace in the Garden, I knew I was using it for a thank you card for my Dad. You see, he grows the absolute BEST tomatoes!! I get a bushel or so from him to make juice (I freeze it in ziploc bags) as well as make my favorite tomato sandwiches. Three years ago something happened to his plants and he lost every single one of them - what a sad day that was. At 84 he is still happiest out in the garden...and I get all kinds of yummy produce! Mom gets mad at him every spring for the size of his garden, but he loves growing things and giving away all that he reaps. Go for it I say!!!!

Bugaboo Times Two
I have two Easter cards that I wanted to share with you. It was so nice being in my stamp room and creating. I had already had these images colored since the other day, so all I needed was some paper (got that!!) and inspiration for layouts and I was off! Here is Dottie Bunny - Easter Flowers from Bugaboo Stamps that I had just purchased. Bugaboo is having 50% off all Easter images until April 9th so now's your time to shop. Keepin' it simple and using up some scraps. I am submitting this card to the following challenges:
Catch the Bug - Easter/Spring
The Squirrel and The Fox - Easter
One Stop Craft Challenge - Easter
Paper Sundaes - Easter
Here is my second card, also using a Bugaboo image, this one called Bunnegg Paint Egg 2. He is such a Picasso!!! This time, I am using the fabulous sketch from the Stella Says Sketch Challenge over at the Bugaboo challenge blog. More scraps pulled out and put to use - I love it when I can do that! Now I thought I would submit this one to some other challenges:
Card Crafter's Circle - Easter
Card Makin' Mamas - Easter
Simply Create Too - Eggs and/or Bunnies
Aud Sentiments Challenge - "Happy Easter"
I'm off. Today hubby is having a colonoscopy - YUCK!! Poor thing couldn't eat at all yesterday, just drink clear liquids. He's hungry but being a good sport about it. I would not handle it quite as well as he is!!! I like to eat too much!! Have a wonderful Monday.
