You've Got Style

This lovely lady is actually Hot and Stylin', a rubber stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs, and perfect for our month long "HOT" challenge, creating with hot colors and/or images. The sentiment is also from FBD, a digital stamp that can be found HERE. I love the oranges and reds for hot colors, using paper from American Crafts Happy Go Lucky line. I paper pieced her blouse and skirt, making sure her skirt was out of the more flattering vertical stripes!!! I also saw to it that she had the hot and sassy reddish brown hair that I love! Enjoy your Thursday, the weekend is almost here!!!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hi! Welcome to another Wednesday and another wonderfully sweet sketch! For lots of fabulous inspiration, please check out the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge blog, you will love what the rest of the DT has created!

And who is our sponsor this week? Yep, it's the love Lori Boyd of By LORi Designs. This week's prize is a $10 gift certificate worth of merchandise from Lori's store.

Here is my card that I created with the totally adorable Puddle Jumper, Gabbi. She looks like a tomboy to me, something I was growing up, and still am today!! No ruffles and lace here!!!! Just jeans and a t-shirt! Be sure and play along with us this week, we always love to see what you create!

I'm The One Going a Little Nuts!

I have so many ideas for stamp sets and challenges, I just can't seem to get them all done!!!!!! I finally finished this one, hence the reason why my blog post is so late for today! I used a Clear Dollar Stamps set called Squirrel Chatter. And two challenges that I am submitting this for are Stampin' Sisters in Christ - use any type of creature, and Rubber Redneck Color Round Up - Poppy parade, Sahara sand, Peach parfait, and Whisper white. Now I know this card is looking a bit fallish, but my brother's birthday is in October, so I figure I'm actually ahead of the game now!! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

A Purple Challenge

This is my second post today...scroll down for my Mocha Manic Monday post.
Yes, purple is a challenge for me. It is not a favorite color of mine, but I've gotta say, this combo we have for you today is fabulous!!! I'd love to see some inspiration from you for our Picture Perfect Creations challenge of Perfect plum, Concord crush, and Very vanilla.

Here is my card, simple yet fun. That one oddly colored butterfly is Concord crush, honest. Now my ink is Elegant eggplant...I wanted the richness of a dark purple, that and the fact I don't have Concord crush ink!!! I wish I had the Martha Stewart trio of butterflies punch, then I would have added several more of different sizes.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT has created with this color combo, you're gonna fall in love with it!!

I'm Manic for Mocha Monday

And you should hurry up and head over to Fresh Brewed Designs because today is Mocha Manic Monday! What does that mean? Well, on the first Monday of every month, Heather offers an adorable digital image for FREE!! Allow me to introduce to you our freebie for today, Shy Girl. I paper pieced her shirt and pants, and now I want to name her Hippie Shy Girl!! I used the dog from the digital stamp Huckleberry Pie with his pup Almond Bark. When cutting out Almond Bark, I accidentally snipped off a wing, so they both came off. I drew in the leash too, the extent of my artistic drawing abilities!! Now if you miss out scooping up Shy Girl today for free, she will be available in the shop for purchase.

Speaking of the shop, Heather is having a sale until August 3rd...40% off all summer digis and 30% off all summer rubber stamps (stamp quantities are limited). Hurry, before time runs out!

It's Hip to be Square

There are few things in life that I absolutely love (besides my wonderful family and friends) and they are captured here in this card -- Bugaboo Stamps, Card making, Ice cream and Black and Gold for the Steelers!!! Actually, this card is for the Wacky Wednesday challenge at PCP and CDAC - It's Hip to be Square. I try to play along with this challenge for a chance to win some Bugaboo images!!! Here I used Summer Butterfly Bear Ice Cream and had to go with the black and gold color scheme. My squares of course are the scraps of dsp as well as the sentiment. So fun!! Have a wonderful Sunday, the last day of July.

Lovely Larkspur

What a lovely color combination at Scrapmaster's Paradise. I like that they include the colors of Copics too.

When I saw these colors, I immediately thought of this digital stamp set, Larkspur, from Clear Dollar Stamps. I even used some SU dsp of celery and saffron. Like I've said a hundred times before, it's good to use what I've got!!
