Oh, So Sweet

That's what babies are, so sweet, so I made these cards to celebrate the little bundles!! These are actually sneak peeks of Clear Dollar Stamp's Baby Bundle, scheduled to be released tomorrow!! Funny, I don't have a lot of baby stamps, and this one I think will fulfill all my needs. I adore this little onesie stamp, so into the pink and blue ink it went. Once again, I used scraps from my bin and set off to make these. Lots of layers, a fave of mine, along with some sewing. The onesies are cut out and popped up on the nestie oval. Hehe, I meant to Swiss Dot emboss the pink layer on the girl's card and in my excitement forgot...oh well. Check out the rest of the DT samples using this set, I'm sure it will convince you this is a must have!!!

Now we aren't done with the sneaks, there's one more to go!!! We're gonna have a Blog Hop tomorrow with the latest and greatest die and coordinating stamp sets. You will have to come back tomorrow because, as with many Blog Hops, there is a prize involved!!!! I don't want to give away too much, so I'll see you tomorrow!!!!!

Sneak Peeks Galore!!

Yes, I have two more Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks for you today. These are part of the new release due out next year - Hee Hee - I mean January 1st. This set is called We Go Together Like and can be seen HERE on the CDS blog. I had to use this image because after all, what does go better together than cookies and milk. I had to make the milk carton yellow, just like the milk I grew up with.

Now this card uses stamps from the Stamp of the Month, A Friend in Need, free with any $50 purchase. You can see the set HERE. Oh how I love the sweet critters in this set. Perfect for a little pick-me-up kind of card. There's lots of inspiration to be seen on the CDS blog for both of these sets, so hop on over and take a look. Be back tomorrow for more!!!

3 Posts in One Day

So if you are on the lookout for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday or Freshly Brewed Challenge cards, scroll on down...after you check out these sweetie sets I'm previewing for Clear Dollar Stamps!!! Today I'm showing you two sets that will be released January 1st. This first set is called Loving Critters. Could this beaver be any cuter??? I embossed him onto WCP and used Tombow markers and a blender pen...and I love the results. I wanted to keep it masculine with the papers (Basic Grey) so I could give it to my hubby for Valentine's Day.

I did the same coloring technique here too on the bear from Heart Hugs. Again I used Basic Grey papers, something I don't think I will ever run out of in this lifetime!! Now be sure and check out all the DT members' blogs for more gorgeous cards using these sets and a few more. You will also want to keep Jan 1 - 3 open to join us for our blog hop for a chance at winning a super fun prize!!!

The Last Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

for this year!!!!! Can you believe 2010 will soon be behind us?! Where did it go? Well we are sending the year out with a bang of a wonderful sketch from our one and only Sweet Sketch Wednesday creator, Arlana. She always amazes me how she can keep coming up with such fun and fabulous sketches.
If you think the sketch is fun and fabulous, wait till you check out our monthly sponsor's store, Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie is such a generous lady, giving away 7 free digis to the winner of our challenge!!! How cool is that?!!!

I've gotta tell you, I absolutely snorted when I saw this Stupid Cupid Stella which usually means I have to have it!! Is she not the best!!! I used Basic Grey's Sugar Rush DSP for this, along with Almost amethyst, Real red, and white for my colors. Play along with us this week, and follow the rules found at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and maybe you could be this week's winner!!
If you are looking for my Freshly Brewed Challenges post, please scroll down. It's another challenge you won't want to miss!!

It's a Celebration!!

It's a time to celebrate, no matter what the reason. And at the Freshly Brewed Challenges blog, we are asking you to show us just that, a celebration. I was in need of a birthday card, so this challenge came at a perfect time for me. I used the Cupcake Stack Birthday from Fresh Brewed Designs. I used some papers I found in my scrap bin - loved their bright colors! A little sewing, a little sparkle on the candle flames, and a few rhinestones and my card was complete. Be sure and check out the rest of the DT's creations over at Freshly Brewed Challenges, you will be so inspired.

Tea Time

When it's cold outside, it's always time for a good hot cup of tea! And how fun it would be to serve it out of a beautiful teapot like this one!!!! This is actually a digital image from Clear Dollar Stamps, a set called Eclectic Teapots. From the moment I saw this particular teapot, I knew the colors I wanted to use on it. I've had this DaisyD's DSP forever, and it couldn't be more perfect. I am going to submit this card for the awesome sketch challenge over at Card Patterns. Do come back tomorrow because I will have a bunch of cards to show you - sneak previews for Clear Dollar Stamps, new sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and a fun challenge for Fresh Brewed Designs. You won't want to miss a thing.

Thank you Brenda for pointing me in the direction of your challenge! CAS is something I must work at so keep those challenges rolling!!!!! Next is the Critter Sketch Challenge - Anything Christmas. I needed to make my Christmas thank yous, so here they are!!! I must admit, this took me all of ten minutes to make, even with interruptions! Keeping It So Simple

At least I'm TRYING to keep it simple. This card is for the Critter Sketch Challenge -- not actually a sketch this time but to use NO PATTERN PAPER!!! Gasp, what was I going to do??!! Well I made my own background paper, using Clear Dollar Stamps recently released Blooming Bouquet set. I used white ink with a variety of the smaller flowers and stamped onto Regal rose. I also used the coordinating die, stamping the medium and large flower. Fun, fun, fun!!! The ric rac is also a die from...gosh, I can't remember, please forgive me!! This is cut out of the very light Pink pirouette.

Clear Dollar Stamps is having a big sale this month - 25% off all scor-pal products, CDS ink pads, Card and Paper kits, Ribbons, and Accents/Embellishments. Hurry, this sale only goes until December 24th. But through the end of the month, for every $20 you spend, you will receive a FREE stamp of the month, with 8 to choose from!!! So hurry in now!!!!

Post #3 - Merry Christmas from Fresh Brewed

This is my third post for today...please scroll down to check out the new digi releases at Clear Dollar Stamps and my card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Yum!!! No matter what your fave hot beverage, as long as it's in a pretty mug, then all is good!!!And this is a gorgeous Christmas mug!!! I used it for a hot chocolate tin I tried creating during my uninspired period a few weeks ago and it was a total bust. So I took off the image and put it on a card with much better results. This is for the Freshly Brewed Challenges blog -- Merry Christmas. Keep in mind, this challenge will run for two weeks to help out with the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Now if you love this mug digi as much as I do, Heather is giving it away as a FREEBIE, but only until Friday, so hurry and scoop it up before it's gone. There's a lot of DT inspiration to be had at the Freshly Brewed Challenge blog, so be sure and head over and leave them a little love.

Post #2 - Plump and Perfect

I absolutely could not resist this one, "plump & perfect," that's my moto!!!!! LOL!!! This is one of several new digital stamp releases this month at Clear Dollar Stamps. I used the precolored hippo because she looked so darn cute in her pink tutu! I used scraps of DSP that is always cluttering up my space!!! The problem is, I use up one piece and there's always one or two more pieces to replace it!!!! Now that is a problem! There is a total of four sets being released today along with digital paper!! You really must get them all!!!! Need some inspiration with our digis, well check out these ladies' creations...

Post #1 - Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Yes, this is my first post today...of THREE!!!! Wednesdays are a busy posting day for me anyway, but today I added a third. Well let me start with the fabulous Sweet Sketch Wednesday...check out this sketch, what a dream!!! It totally works as an A2 or square card!!
Want to know what else is totally fabulous? Well our sponsor of course!!!!! The ever generous Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique is offering 6 FREE DIGIS to the winner of our sketch challenge!! So many awesome images to choose from too!

I needed a break from Christmas cards, so I went with this super adorable Valentine Marvin. He is one sweet monkey! I used some old SU designer paper as my color inspiration - Chocolate chip, Regal rose, Taken with teal. Of course I had to do some sewing!! And such yummy chocolate ribbon too. Thanks for stopping. May I suggest checking out the rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday design team's creations, you are going to love 'em!!

Happy Winter and Some Snowman Cheer!

I don't feel like this is starting out as a happy winter, too much snow already for me! And talk about cold!!!!! Gimme a break, it's only the middle of December! Anyway, after laundry and before getting on to another batch of cookies, I made this card for the OWH Stars and Stamps sketch challenge. I used Clear Dollar Stamps digital Snowman Cheer. I used my Copic markers on him, creating a plaid effect with the colorless blender. I wanted to used different colors from the usual blues I'm drawn to when I work with snowmen, and this DSP said pick me...so I did! It's a SU paper called Merry Moments, and colors include Chocolate chip, Old olive, and Ruby red.

Stay warm and have a wonderful day! Be sure and be back tomorrow for the December release of Clear Dollar Stamps new digital stamps!!!!! You're gonna love 'em!

I Heart You

Okay, how fast can I get this posted...gotta leave for work real soon. I haven't posted in awhile, heck I haven't stamped in awhile, so I figured I'd better get on the ball. I made two batches of cookies yesterday along with two cards. This card uses the Fresh Brewed Designs image Angel Cake Bakes. I thought she was perfect for my cookie baking marathon (actually, I have just begun, need to get a lot more made!!!). I used Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-Licious paper...love it, even though it's purple!!!!! Added some sparkle to Angel Cake's wings along with lots and lots of rhinestones. The sentiment is from TAC. Thanks for visiting, hope to get more cards and more cookies done this week. Enjoy your day, we're in the midst of a snow storm, and I'm not liking the accumulation totals they're predicting!! Off to work I go.

My Second Post Today, A Sweet Sketch

I'm trying really hard to get to bed before midnight tonight, but I don't think that's gonna happen! I've been staying up too late for too many nights in a row and something's gotta give. Anyway, I couldn't go to bed without sharing this Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. Isn't this sketch fabulous?! You really should play along with us because we have a really great sponsor!
Tiddly Inks has the most adorable digital stamps you've ever seen!!! And the prize up for grabs is a $10 gift certificate!!! How grand!!!

Now on my card I use the Christmas Pixie. I went with some gorgeous papers by Kaiser Crafts that, if you look really close, already are sparkled. Just needed some stitching and ribbon!!!!! Thanks for stopping by. Sure hope you can find a moment in this busy time of year to join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Sparkle and Shine

The challenge this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges is Sparkle and Shine. I simply had to used this adorable Gingerbread Boy image from Heather's store. After using Copic markers on him, I added black rhinestones for his eyes, pearls for his buttons, Crystal Effects for shine to his bow, and sparkly Stickles to his hat. A finishing touch of sparkle and shine comes from the rhinestones along the ribbon. The dsp is Basic Grey's Jovial - I love this gorgeous paper. Now be sure and head over to the Freshly Brewed Challenges blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT. While you're there, leave 'em a little love too...tis the season!!

Seeing Triple Challenges

Happy Tuesday! What a crazy emotional week last week that sucked all creative juices out of me! I have not felt like stamping at all, but life goes on and I needed a few cards. So off to the challenges I go. These cards are for the Seeing Triple challenge at Die Cut Dreams - make three cards that match the same theme, colors, etc and use the same layout. For the layout, I used the sketch from Critter Sketch Challenge. Now not only do they have a sketch but they also added a color challenge to it - purple and teal. As you know, purple is far from a favorite color of mine, I only use it if I have to, making this yet another challenge for me!! I pulled out my fun Blooming Bouquet dies from Clear Dollar Stamps. The three cards are all the same, only needed to use a different ribbon on one of them. Colors include Taken with teal, Almost amethyst, and CDS's Grape jelly. The DSP is an old SU line called Loves Me. The cards measure 4.25 inches square. I kept them blank on the outside because I need a Thinking of you, Get well and Thank you card. Perfect!!

Clearly Colorful Inspired Challenge

Hooray for Friday!!! And the first Friday of every month means time for another Clearly Inspired Challenge at Clear Dollar Stamps. This month is a color challenge -- 3 shades of blue with white or black as a neutral. Blue is my favorite color, so I had tons of fun with this one!! I don't know if I've ever mentioned this or not, but I LOVE snowmen (I've mentioned only about every time I post!!!), and this snowman digi is a FREEBIE at Clear Dollar Stamps. You can get him already colored, just the outline, a "Happy Winter" sentiment (mine is on the inside of the card), AND a PDF file of a blue gingham background just like his vest! I used the pre-colored one because he is just so cute in his vest. My blues are Pacific point, Bashful blue, and Night of navy with white as my neutral. My designer paper is scraps I found...in blue!!!!!! I added some Stickles for snow and this card is done and ready to be mailed!!! Now play along with us, we would love to see your inspiration! You must use a CDS image -- don't have any, then what are you waiting for!!! Scoop up this free digi set and play!!

Warm Cup of Cocoa

Boy I could go for a warm cup of cocoa right now, with lots of whipped cream!! It's in the 20's with a brutal wind and falling snow. Glad to be inside!!! You've gotta check out the sketch over at the Paper Pretties blog. I used the pre-colored digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps called Cup of Cocoa. It comes in two colors, red and blue, as well as the outline version so you can color it up yourself. I haven't told you the exciting part about it yet...IT'S FREE with any purchase!!!!! I printed off a bunch of the blue cups and plan on making more Christmas cards. Colors of cardstock include Black, White, Creamy caramel, and Red Velvet Cake also from Clear Dollar Stamps. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Freshly Brewed Pink and Red Challenge

This is my second post today. Please scroll down for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

I couldn't wait to share this week's Freshly Brewed Challenge with you -- Red and pink. Check out one of the images from a newly released line at Heather's store called Emma. I used Emma Dancing and dressed her up in a fancy paper pieced top and skirt. I've been making a lot of the little 4.25 inch square cards - such a sweet size and still fits in an A2 envelope. I found some pink and red scraps of designer paper to finish up this look. And what girlie card would be complete unless you added some stitching!! Thanks for stopping by, be sure and leave some love with the other DT members because their creations are oh so inspiring.

Sweet Sketch & Di's Digi Downloads

Happy Wednesday!!! I am thrilled to be sharing with you the FABULOUS sketch by our fearless leader at Sweet Sketch Wednesday Arlana!!! I know, I know, I say this every week, but I really had fun playing with this one!! Now if you think that sketch is great, wait till you hear about our sponsor!!!

This week the lovely Diane from Di's Digi Downloads is graciously giving away 5 free digis to the winner of our wonderful sketch! I challenge you, however, to find just 5 digis because if you're like me, it's almost impossible to pick only 5 because you will want more!!! Thanks Diane, you're the bestest!!

Now I'm sure I've mentioned that I LOVE snowmen...and this one has to be the cutest ever!! It's called Penguins Playtime and what a joy to work with. I used copic markers and lots of stickles for that very much needed sparkle! Once again I used papers from my stash - it makes me feel justified for always buying new!!!!!!! Now the sketch called for the three embellishments to line up across the top of the image, but I could not get anything to look right so to the corner those buttons went. Now please be sure and check out the rest of the DT's inspiration, they really have some wonderful cards to show you.

Where is my Head Sometimes?!

Before I answer that question, let me tell you this is my second post today. Please scroll down to see the sneak peek for Clear Dollar Stamps.

Now when asked by owner of Fresh Brewed Designs, whom I am a DT member for (don't throw me off the team Heather for being so dumb), asked us if we would like to participate in the Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge that she is sponsoring, of course I said yes. I made this card using Snow Owl from Heather's store along with Jovial Basic Grey paper, ribbon, buttons, pearls, and sparkle. Well for some reason I had it in my head I made this for a totally different blog challenge site that posts every Monday!!! Imagine my surprise when I found out I should have posted this yesterday!!!!!!! What a dingaling!!! Anyway, chalk it up to being on holiday a little too long!!!!!

New Die and Stamp Set at Clear Dollar Stamps

I'm not kidding, Clear Dollar Stamps is releasing a GORGEOUS stamp set and coordinating die set called Blooming Bouquet December 1st. Today a lot of the ladies on the DT are previewing this set for you. My first card I stamped the flowers then cut AND embossed with the die. Love the added texture of the embossing. Love popping it up and hanging over the edges of the main layer! The sentiment comes from the Bless my Bloomers set. The papers are from a Key Ingredient set by Taylored Expressions.
Here I just went with the Blooming Bouquet die set and a sentiment from Church Chatter. I layered the two flowers, adding a button to the center topped off with blue hemp. Now check out those two leaves, don't you love the embossed vein?! I can't get enough of these leaves, will have to come up with something featuring just them!
I'm so glad you stopped by, now please check out these other ladies that are previewing this stamp and die set and leave 'em a little love:

Another Christmas Card

I do enjoy making Christmas cards! This one I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Melissa always has such fun ones. I made a few score lines along the right side, adding the red brads, then adhered this to the back of the card, giving it my version of a fun fold!!! The cardstock and designer paper is all from my stash. And the snowflakes are glittered foam flaked that came with a hole in the center that I added a red rhinestone to because I didn't like the hole! Of course I did a little stitching, something I can't seem to be able to live without. It's back to my craft room for a bit more stamping. Then I need to get some birthday presents wrapped, Kevin turns 12 (YIKES!!) tomorrow!

Season's Greetings

Happy Thanksgiving! A day to be thankful for so many things. It also makes me realize everyday should be a thankful day!!!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that couldn't have been any quicker to make. The image is a digital from Clear Dollar Stamps called Bitty Tree and Snowflake. I went with the pre-colored image which is included when you purchase this set!!! The papers are Scarlet jewel, White, Kraft, and Basic Grey's Figgy DSP. I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch, and of course had to add some stitching!!! The other day I was talking to my Mom on the phone and she asked me what I was doing. I told her making a card. She laughed and said she thought I was sewing because she could hear the sewing machine in the background!! I did have to explain that I was sewing on my card but I'm not sure she really got it!!!!!!!! I'll have to take a few cards to show her what I'm talking about.

Now the winner of this week's challenge will get to do just that because they will win 7 free digis from Bugaboo Stamps!!!!! Thanks Jodi for your generosity!!

I'd like to introduce you to Poppi Penguin. Isn't he adorable?! Love him hiding behind his big mug of hot cocoa! Do you think he made it just for Santa? I am a firm believer in a very large mug to hold my hot beverages, so I couldn't resist Poppi. There's not many Bugaboo Stamps that I can resist!!! Play along with us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and you may be the winner of some new Bugaboo digis of your very own!!!!!
I also wanted to add that I am submitting this card for the Sew Special Challenge over at the ABC DT Challenge Blog.

Freshly Brewed Challenges Winter Challenge

Hi everyone, and welcome to a new challenge at Freshly Brewed Challenges. This week we are going with a Winter/Christmas theme. Now may I highly recommend checking out all the really fun Christmas/winter digital images Heather has at Fresh Brewed Designs. I totally adore all the snowmen...you can't settle for just one!!!! Here I used Sleddin' Snowman, bringing him to life with my copic markers and a little bit of sparkle! The designer papers are from a "big stack" I purchased at our local craft store - you know the kind, probably even have a few of your own!!!! I say that with a laugh because I have more than a few, and they never go away, no matter how much of the paper you use!!!!! Anyway, play along with us, we'd love to be inspired by you!!!! Now be sure and check out the rest of the DT creations at Freshly Brewed Challenges and show 'em a little love with a comment!

More Quick Christmas Cards

I played along yesterday with the Featured Stamper challenge over at SCS, casing this card of Sarah's. I decided to use scraps of DSP instead of stamping like she did. And this went together so quick and easy I decided to make nine more and put in my Christmas card stash.

Trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. I ordered the food (yep, it's just going to be the four of us and I decided I'm not cooking!!!!! How awesome is that!!!) and took Wednesday off so I can get going on baking Christmas cookies. I always stress myself out this time of year, to the point of getting sick. Well I've decided this year is going to be different, I will not stress over it all, I will not stress over it all...if I keep repeating this over and over again, maybe I'll begin to believe it!!!!! Anyway, I'm off to proofread Phillip's research paper, then maybe get some stamping in! Have a wonderful evening.

Color Inspiration with Zebra Stripes

It's hard to stamp, photograph and post while watching the football game!!!! Go Steelers!! Anyway, check out the color inspiration for the 1st Paper Craft Planet Friday challenge for Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs. I love it!!! At first, not having any zebra print paper (a shocker, I know) I was just going to go with black and white. Then I googled free digital zebra print scrapbook paper and printed myself up some!!!!

And here's my card!!!! I used a FBD digital called Angel Cakes and Mr. Snowman. I colored her in with Copics and added sparkle to her coat, hat, and boot trim. Colors include Black, Tempting turquoise, Melon mambo, Wild dandelion (GinaK Designs), White, and my free digi zebra DP. Thanks for stopping by, I really must get back to the game.

Believe in the Magic

I wanted to hurry up and post this card because once the boys are home from school, the computer no longer belongs to Mom!!! I actually made 10 of these this morning - figured they would be my Christmas cards to mail out this year. One problem...I get bored easily and to make more than 10 and I WILL GO CRAZY!!!!!!! HaHa!! I like variety, so I'll have to come up with something else and keep it simple to make at most 10. Anyway, I used stamp sets from PaperTrey Ink - Holiday Tree, and Inside & Out: Holiday. The kraft confetti colored cardstock is from a paper outlet (I'm trying so hard to use up my supply of "stuff" before buying new - it isn't working very well). The other colors are Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf, both from PTI. I sponged the edges with white - love the effect. My first sample of this card I didn't sew on the green layer and it definitely needed it.

Our new roof is finally done, and may I say, looks marvelous!!! The workers were extremely respectful and courteous, but I certainly won't miss the pounding!!!

Like I said, this is my second post for today. If you're looking for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday post, please scroll down. Because I get to reveal my very first card as a DT member of Fresh Brewed Designs and the Freshly Brewed Challenges posted every Wednesday. This week's theme is Anything Goes! I used the digital image Debbie, adding color with my Copics. Now can I take this moment to brag about the bow??!! I used my Bow Easy for the first time -- and I LOVE THE RESULTS!!!!! A neat and perfect bow every time. Now be sure to check out the other DT cards cause you're gonna love 'em.

I've edited this post to add that I am submitting this card for the Sew Special Challenge over at ABC DT Challenge Blog.

Sweet Sketch for this Wednesday

Would you simply look at this fabulous sketch!!!!! I am so excited to share it with you because I absolutely love it! I'm a big fan of layers, and this one delivers. You'll find this sketch on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge blog. Be sure and read the rules at the bottom of the post to be eligible for the prize. Yes, I said prize, and this week we are honored to be sponsored by the lovely and very generous Sally Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique. If your card is chosen as the prize winner, you will receive 6 digi images of your choice from Digi Stamp Boutique free. And yes, I said FREE!!!!!

And not only is Sally Ann providing the 6 free digi images for the winner, she also allowed the DT to pick an image from her store to use. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have Jack and Snowman. These two snow buddies are too adorable!!!!!!! I colored them with copic markers and cut them out with the nesties. The DSP is paper I've been hoarding for just the right time, and now is the right time!!! The dotted paper is fuzzy while the bottom layer of DSP is shiny. I know there are more technical term for this, but I am tired and can't think right now. I added the snowflake just for effect this time, not to cover up a mistake like I seem to often do!!!!!! Be sure and check out the rest of the creations from the Design Team at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, no doubt you'll be inspired!
