SSW With a Twist

Welcome to another challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. This is a fun one - being the last challenge of the month, you get to use your favorite sketch from this month with an added twist, PAPER PIECING.

Here's my card, using sketch #3 along with the adorable image My Snowey Friends. Gotta say, I've never paper pieced a snowman before, but why not?!!! Sure hope you can join us for our end of the month challenge with a twist at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

This week our theme is a color challenge -- blue and silver. Our sponsor is Fred She Said where my adorable Little Fat Santa image is from. Yep, I used the color image...surprised?!! I had scraps of this blue and silver dp on my desk from previous projects so I put them to use here, running the layer thru the Big Shot with an embossing folder for fun. The silver brads finish it off. Simple yet fun!

Shore Do Love You

Welcome to our new clean and simple challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme is "seascape." I was excited to be able to use my sea themed dies from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti and the square and rectangle dies are from Lil' Inkers. Talk about a five minute card!! Gotta love that!

Sweet Birthday

Yeah, I'm hooked on the clean and simple style! A quick card I made for the CAS challenge over at Stamp TV. The Gina K stamp set I used is called You're the Sweetest. I wanted a fun, bright card to chase away these winter time blues. I'm blue because it's so stinkin' cold outside!!! And it doesn't look like there's much relief in sight either! Next week the overnight lows are below zero!! What is that all about?!

Enough whining, I think I'm off to make a hot cup of tea, curl under my heavy blanket, and pop a movie in. I feel better now!!

I'll Always Love You

Yes, I can make Valentines!!! I say that because I'm not a huge hearts lover so I don't do much for Valentines Day. But for the final challenge for Gina K guest DT spot on Stamp TV convinced me otherwise. This card actually follows the sketch provided - and as you know, I love sketch challenges so I was in heaven with this one!! I used the stamp set True Love, embellishing with sewing, pearls, lace and a glittery heart. Yes, a heart!!

Love and Coffee

And I don't think it's supposed to warm up much more than this during the day! YIKES!!

Here's my card using our sketch and the adorable Fresh Brewed Designs image So Happy Together. Are you surprised it's not a snowman??!!! I found this Basic Grey paper pad buried underneath "stuff" on my desk and decided to go with these colors. And of course the heart needed some red Stickles for a bit of pop!
