Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge

I wanted to share with you a card I made for another monthly progressive challenge I found over at Deedee's Digis. Such a sweet digi set that you can purchase HERE. Create a project using it and you will receive next month's set free! How fun!! I stamped the background piece using a Simon Says Stamp set from this month's card kit Thinking of You. I used distress inks and watercolor paper, spraying the paper with water once I was done stamping. My initial plan was to have the entire background be my stamped layer, but the ink puddled when I sprayed it leaving a big blob of muddy color. I cut that portion out and ended up with this strip which I liked much better, just subtle runs of color. Always experimenting but never coming up with the results I want first time around. Guess that's part of the creative process.

So cute and I love the way you stamped that panel using the kit from Simon. Of course I love the image but also love the design you used for this. So glad you're playing at Deedee's Digi challenge!

Keep experimenting, Linda -- the background piece is wonderful! Love how you laid this all out, and the haloing you did around the image makes the turtle pop. So fun to see you joining our challenges! We'll have a new digi for you soon, and hope you'll come back and play again! :-)

That's a fabulous background you've created and it mirrors the turtle's shell perfectly! Thanks for playing along with Deedee's February challenge!
