I'm a Day Behind

With Monday having been Labor Day, a day off school and work, I am so messed up on what day it is!! I almost missed this post for Sweet Sketch Wednesday! How could I??!! We are so fortunate to be sponsored by Meljen's Designs.

Meljen's Designs is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical digital images inspired by her kids and family. The Meljen's Designs store officially launched on April 1 and is steadily growing! Meljen's Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog. Please visit the Meljen's Designs line of stamps at the WHIMSY STAMPS STORE to browse and enjoy Melissa's wonderful images!
Now check out this sketch, it's a lovely one! Play along with us this week and you could win the prize of 4 digis of your choice from our lovely sponsor Meljen's Designs. Good luck narrowing it down to just 4!!!!!!!

Here is my card using the adorable Stanley Scarecrow. I used my Copic markers on him and cut him out with my Nesties. I used some papers from my scrap bin (I keep hoping some day it will be noticeably less...keep on dreaming!!) and the sewing machine. Okay, I can't follow directions, I always was a rebel! I used five embellies along the side instead of three as pictured on the sketch. Don't tell Arlana!!!!!! But do tell all your friends about this gorgeous sketch and our wonderful sponsor this week - you could be the winner!

Oh, Linda, your Scarecrow in so cute! I love your fun bright papers...very fun scraps! I also love the red pocket on his overalls. Wasn't that just such a fun image to use! Your buttons and stitching are a wonderful accent too!

Hi Linda, I just love your Scarecrow he is just so cute. Your papers are great and I don't care how many buttons you used they look awesome with this image.
You too have a scrap pile I thought it was just me I wondered what other crafter do with theirs?
I have a container I stand them up in but I always seem to have too many!!! Take care and have a great weekend.

Awwh Linda, the colors on this card are absolutely beautiful, so bright and cheery!! The buttons and sitching are perfect. Oh how I wish my scrap pile would see a dent, not likely so your not alone, but I really should start using mine as you have.
