Hello

Hello and Happy Wednesday. I wanted to share with you today a fun card I made using the fabulous Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp Hello. I remember as a little girl having a pink plastic phone to play with...nowadays, kids have the real thing!!! Ooops, guess I'm telling my age...OLD!! And let me tell you something else, I think that was the only thing pink I played with too!! My Mom thought it was wonderful having a girl, but the only problem was, I was so far from girlie!!! Growing up I couldn't wait to get rid of the pink walls and ruffles and butterfly bedspread from my room. My, my, how I do digress. I created my own background on this card with all these telephone die cuts. Just trying to keep it simple - hehehe!!

Just posting a reminder of our Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp release and blog hop Jan. 19-21. Sure hope you can make it.

Warm Winter Wishes

So how is 2013 treating you so far? I still need to pause when writing out the date, not only do I need to make it a new month, but I really hesitate at the year!! We have a blast from the past sketch for you to try this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Just like all the sketches, it's another fun one!!!!

And we have a wonderful sponsor this week, A Day for Daisies.

A DAY FOR DAISIES provides themed categories of over 1000 fun and whimsical digital images, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions!

The prize to our winner is a $12 gift certificate to the A Day for Daisies shop.

Here's my card using yet another wonderful snowman image, Frosty. You know how I love snowmen, and this one could not be more adorable!! I paired it up with a Christmas paper pack, only I went with the non-holiday sheets so I could keep this winter themed. Be sure and join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday for your chance to win some very fun images.

Happy Valentines Day

Yes, you read it right, Happy Valentines Day!! No more Christmas cards...well at least for a couple days now!!! I had bought lots of fun holiday stamps and dies and can't seem to stop playing!! Anyway, for today, I decided to color up a digital image I found in my folder of printed images from Fresh Brewed Designs called Turtle Love. I wanted to keep it clean and simple, a style I am always trying to embrace! I think I take my cards one or two steps above CAS because I so love the layers. But hey, I'm trying. It was fun using some new ribbon and twine too. Just so you know, the current challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog is Anything Goes...and is for the whole month of January!

Don't forget to mark your calendar for our rubber release blog hop too next weekend, it's gonna be sweet!!!

Seems a Little Sketchy

Welcome to our 30th sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy, as well as the first for 2013. I love the ability to use my designer papers as well as a little bit of bling with this sketch.

And here is my card, using from our sponsor, Sassy Studio Designs, Pink Ribbon Sassy. Okay, I know, I know, she's called "PINK" Ribbon Sassy, why did I make her purple. The purple ribbon for a cause represents Alzheimer's disease, something I support because my Dad is suffering from it. He is in the middle stages of it, forgetful, unable to drive, but still physically able to do so much. It's difficult seeing the changes in him. Now show us your support of Seems a Little Sketchy by joining us for this fun and wonderful sketch challenge.

Seeing Double

Yes, you've seen this card before. Just earlier today as a matter of fact! I decided to make more to submit to the Christmas card challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. It's a great challenge, you simply sign up to make so many cards per month and post them. I said I would do four each month, definitely a doable number, unlike the 10 I tried to complete each month in previous years! The twist of a challenge for January was to use non-traditional holiday colors. When I saw the color challenge at the CAS - Colors and Sketches challenge blog, I knew exactly what combo I was going to use -- Crumb cake, Summer starfruit, Gumball green. Now I have a confession to make, I could not find a hint of Crumb cake card stock (shocker, I know). So I substituted with kraft. The stamps are from Hero Arts that I bought myself for Christmas! Enjoy the rest of your weekend cause it will be over before you know it.

Something New

Bet you didn't think you'd be seeing yet another Christmas card from me! Well I needed to make something for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz - Use something new. I signed up for the Christmas card challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, so maybe I'll make more of this one for their January challenge to use non-traditional colors. I got several new stamps over the holidays, all Christmas related because I just can't resist!! Both the background stamp and sentiment are from Hero Arts. Thanks for stopping by, hope you can join us at The Outlawz for our "something new" CAS challenge.

I Woof You

Hello and happy Friday!!! I'm still confused on the days, how 'bout you? Because it's the first Friday of the month, it's time for a new Clearly Inspired Challenge. Our theme for the next two weeks is "Puppy Love" - show us your cards of love featuring animals. I simply had to use the featured digi from Clearly Digi Stamps, Mr. Spike. You could win Spike for your very own simply by playing along with us. I used the color version along with two of the digi papers. And to show my affections, I used the fun sentiment "I Woof You." Sure hope you can join in on the fun. You have two weeks to get your project done then on the third Friday of the month, we will post a new challenge. Enjoy your weekend.

I'd like to submit this card to:
