Happy Birthday

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the birthday challenge over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. My oldest was home last weekend from college so I was feeling sentimental and went with a little boy birthday card. I used Piratey Ship from Doodle Pantry. Believe it or not, I didn't go with the adorable digital papers included in this set, scraps were put to use instead. Quirky Armadillo

Just wanted to share my card with you for the 613 Avenue Create Anything Goes with a color twist of Aquamarine. Of course I had to play along, Doodle Pantry is the sponsor after all!! I used the adorable Quirky Armadillo set and paper. And the sentiment, also from the set, is so encouraging. The weekend is almost here, hope you have a good one!!!

Flower Power

Here's my card for the Flowers challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. They can be on your image, papers, or as an embellishment. I used the sweet Daffodil and Daisy from Fresh Brewed Designs. My paper has flowers on it plus my embellishment is a die cut flower -- guess I covered all my bases!!

What a beautiful day today. The sun has been out bright and there hasn't been a cloud in the sky. I did some laundry this morning and hung it up outside...guess I'd better head out and take it down before heading into work. It's fun seeing patches of grass too under the melting snow, making me think spring is definitely on its way! Hooray for spring!!!

Sweet Mushroom Fairy

It's Wednesday, and time to share with you our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. I'm excited to see what you create using this fun, fun sketch!! As always, I love when I get to use pattern papers, and lots of 'em!!

Here's my card, using the beautiful Mushroom Fairy. I pulled out from my stack of paper packs several brands that haven't been used in forever. I was drawn to the color combo of this one, lovin' the mustard yellow and ocean blue. Now let's see what you come up with using our fabulous sketch!!

Holly Jolly Christmas

With all my dilemmas from last week, I never got a card made until now for the Dies and Punches challenge we have going on at Holly Jolly Christmas. I used an image from Bugaboo, our sponsor --  Kidz Reindeer. I die cut the image, the red and white striped papers as well as the snowflake. The sentiment is punched out. A little glossy accents on the lights give a nice shine. Join us at Holly Jolly Christmas for some die cut/punches fun.

Wow, life sure has gotten in my way!!! First I got sick then we had water coming in our basement! Just what you want to deal with when you're sick!!! And I bet you can't guess where my computer and printer are located? Yep, you got it, the basement. So I've been without my computer for a week now...it's been tough!! My ipad was getting me by, barely. I wanted to share with you the sketch for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. You still have until this time tomorrow to enter.

I am so not feeling well, so this will be one short post. Our theme for the CAS challenge over at The Outlawz is Outer Space. We have a lovely sponsor this month, Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs! I used her image Little Alien Dress Up and sentiment. The background is Hero Arts white ink dauber that I watered down and flicked on the black cardstock with a paintbrush. My mojo was sucked right out of me last night so I didn't know what else to do besides add a few brads. I'm off to lay down!!
