Hey there!! Welcome to our latest CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. We want to see a button on your clean and simple project. Now if I would have read the challenge carefully, I would have seen it was asking for one button...but I used ONE die to cut out five!!! I'll make any excuse to try and save a project!! I found my stash of embroidery floss and colors that worked perfectly with these three shades of blue. For balance, I added the thin strip of green along the side and rounded the corners (something I forget to do more often). It's definitely simple, that's for sure!!

Joy
I'm so sad to be ending my time at Imagine That as a summer guest designer. Owner and artist Kris Breach was so sweet and generous, I had an absolute blast. Here's one more card using the adorable set Joyous Reindeer. Normally I pop up the image over my layers of paper. This time the designer paper has a circle die cut out of it and popped up over the image layer! A fun change of pace. I am so into the linen thread that I had to find a way to put it on my card so I let the scallop border help me out on that one! Another fun holiday card. Now if I were one of those VERY organized persons, I'd have my envelopes addressed already to make my Christmas rush less stressful. Haha, if only!!!

A Happy Hi!
Hi!! So glad you dropped by. School is back in session so this is one happy Mom! I like my alone time!! I won't be as alone as I first thought though, I'm picking up more hours during the day at work. That's okay, it helps to pay for this obsession I have called card making!!! This card makes use of two rubber stamps from Fresh Brewed Designs...Caution Contents are Hot and the sentiment. Now's the time to buy some rubber stamps from Fresh Brewed Designs, they're on sale 25% off now thru Sept. 5th. We're also in the last week of our Glitter Galore challenge (find details HERE). I used Stickles on her dress plus the pink brads are glittered. This might be perfect for my one niece who has a love of Starbucks just like I do!! We are so alike is many other ways too...I love her!! Join us for some glittery fun over at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Sweet Love & Hugs
Happy Wednesday, the first day of school for my youngest. And my oldest has started a new adventure in his life, studying abroad this semester in Sydney, Australia. It's the last Wednesday of the month so we have a twisted challenge for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. First up is the sketch, a blast from the past. The added twist is stitching, real or faux.
Our lovely sponsor is Megan from Dilly Beans. She has so many adorable images, be sure and take a moment to check out her store.
Here's my card, using Penny's Heart String. She's such a pretty little lady! Can you believe I've incorporated purple into my project?!!! Yep, I've gone off the deep end!!! I have several goofs on this card too, one of which is covered up by the sentiment. The other is my initial plan was to make a square card, but once I had my papers sewn down, there was no turning back, an A2 it will stay!!!!! Now join us for loads of fun at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, we'll have you in stitches with our twisted challenge!!

Such a sweetie...and I adore this banana paper also included in the set!!! Keeping it very simple and placing the sentiment strategically to cover a spot on my paper! You have a few days left to play along in this progressive challenge, then you're eligible for September's digi of the month!! Can't wait!!!

HELLO
Let me tell you, whatever is going on that's making me so dizzy is absolutely driving me nuts!!! I have so much to do and find that I have to lay down just to keep the room from spinning. Here's one thing that I was able to do, my card for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme is to make a "hello" type of card. I actually did real stamping on this one, using stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp (Thinking of You) and W Plus 9 (Hand Lettered Hello). So fun to create. Now be sure and join us at The Outlawz for our "hello" clean and simple challenge.

It's time to say "HI" to this cute little Pumpkin PigWit, the August Stamp of the Month at From the Heart. Yep, he is a sweetie!! How fun to pull out some autumn papers too. I thought a little stitching was in order too, since I haven't done it in a while. This is my monthly challenge card for August over at the From the Heart Blog.

Happy Birthday Cowgirl
Well let me tell you, I find the absolute best time to get sick...when we're extra busy at work AND right before shipping my son off to study abroad in Sydney, Australia!! It's Friday night and I finally felt good enough to head into my craft room and create a bit. This fun card uses a digital set and paper from Imagine That. The stamp set is called Cowboy Cactus Planter and the paper is from the Wild West pack. Quick and easy, a style I've come to embrace...with both arms!!!

Better Late Than Never
I can't seem to pull it together these past few days. And I see it only getting worse because next Monday our college sophomore son is flying to Sydney, Australia to study abroad!!!! Just way too much going on with that!! With that said, I was late getting my card done for Doodle Pantry's sponsorship of the Things with Wheels challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs. I used the Pinto image and papers from the fabulous set Classic Clunkers 1. Gotta say, I love these papers!! I didn't want to put much else on the card to cover it up!!! Join the Things With Wheels challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs for your chance at some Doodle Pantry goodness.

Hope to Sea You Soon!
Well what do ya know, I forgot to post my card for today!!! It's for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz and our WAVE theme. I of course went for the obvious and used ocean waves. I love the sound of them crashing, especially at night...such a peaceful sound. I used a wave die cut for the two blues, mounted them onto kraft, then die cut that panel out with a stitched rectangle die from Lil' Inker Designs. The lighthouse and sentiment (I mounted it on my acrylic block in a wavy pattern) are from the Here Comes the Sun kit at Gina K Designs. A fun challenge to let your imagination run free!! Hope you can join us at The Outlawz.

If you want to see more inspiration from the Imagine That GDT, check out the BLOG.

Happy Halloween
Halloween??? Hey wait, summer isn't even over yet!!! I couldn't resist using Candy Corn Girl from Fresh Brewed Designs to remind you of our Buttons Challenge going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. How fun to use a rubber stamp, for a change. I've gotten so into digis that I forget how great it feels to get inky!! As for my button, it's one teeny tiny thing on my bow! The challenge is for as few or as many buttons as you feel like, so an extra small one is it!! Sure hope you can join our Buttons Challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Our other wonderful thing this week is our sponsor...Doodle Pantry. There is so many wonderful digi sets to choose from. Owner and artist Laurie Wilson is one talented lady!!
This week I went masculine, using a newly released set Big Trucks. I love, love, love the digital paper that is also included. Now that I've finally found these phillips head screw brads, I'm using them on every card I make (okay, maybe not EVERY card!!!). Sure hope you can join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Have a Bloomiful Day
Since getting back from Disney (what a wonderful time we had!!), I can't seem to get back into the groove of card making!! I actually made this card awhile back, just never posted it. So today is the day to share this sweetie, Lily's Flowers, from Imagine That. Isn't she a sweetie?!!! I also used digital paper from Imagine That called Blossoms & Bugs. I played off the red with white polka dots heart on her overalls. I just got this cool Chevron Cloud Die from Simon Says Stamp and had to use it!! Hope you have a bloomiful day too!!!
Don't forget about the August challenge going on at Imagine That Blog. It's a progressive challenge, so use this month's featured stamp set, Dolphins, and receive next month's free!!!

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Cupcake Inspirations, and above are the cupcakes to be inspired by! Aren't they adorable?!!!
Well Doodle Pantry is the perfect place to find lots and lots of images of bugs!! My "bug" is actually a birdie dressed up as one!! Too sweet!! This image is Bee Birdie and can be found HERE. Did you notice the honeycomb background? That's actually the Beeutiful Beehive SVG and PDF, also from Doodle Pantry, that I cut out with my Cameo. A fun challenge that I hope you can join for your chance at winning a $10 coupon for the store at Doodle Pantry.

Happy Birthday in Purple
You all know how much I LOVE purple!!! Hehehe, just kidding, it is so not my favorite color. But our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz is to use it on our card. YIKES, now that's a real challenge if ever I heard one!! But create with it I will, using some dies and a flower and happy birthday stamp. I used a little dot of yellow for the flower's center just to help me out with so much purple! Yep, I'm that bad when it comes to purple!!! Join us at The Outlawz for some color fun, CAS style.

With Heartfelt Sympathy
I think I'm like everyone else and don't have a lot of extra sympathy cards on hand. I love this beautiful image from Imagine That called Queen Ann's Lace. The monarch butterfly put it over the top of loveliness for me. As a kid we used to bring home monarch caterpillars and watch them form their cocoon and emerge this glorious winged creature. So fascinating!! Now when you purchase this set, you will receive a set of 9 sentiments called Sentiment Thoughts; that's where I got the "with heartfelt sympathy." Be sure and check out the rest of the DT inspiration over at the Imagine That blog.

Enchantment Under the Sea
Under the sea...reminds me of the Little Mermaid!! I've scheduled this post because I'm in Disney World right now, and having a magical time no doubt. Anyway, I wanted to share another card I made using a mermaid from the new release at Fresh Brewed Designs called Drema. A beautiful mermaid indeed, especially with her flowing pink hair!! I tried my hand at distressing the edges of my papers, such a cool effect.

Sweet Flower Teapot
We're back, with a new sketch for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. You know how excited I get when I can use my paper scraps...well this sketch allows you to do just that. Perfect!!
Our sponsor this week is a favorite, Bugaboo Stamps. Owner and artist Jodie is offering 7 free digis to our winner this week...good luck narrowing it down!!!
Here's my card, using the adorable Flower Teapot. I love those two little ladybugs hiding out amidst the flowers. My initial plan was to emboss the white layer, but got going on assembling my card and completely forgot. Oh well, kinda like the clean and simple look too. Please join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for a fabulous challenge and sponsor.

Sitting Here Thinking of You
Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Anything Goes challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door. I simply couldn't resist using a new release from Doodle Pantry, It's My Potty. I hope you can join the challenge at Through the Craftroom Door for you chance at some Doodle Pantry goodies.

Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Release
Hooray, the new digital release at Fresh Brewed Designs is here!!! We promised waves of fun and I think we delivered!! Gorgeous images from owner and illustrator (and dear friend) Heather Dennis! We're looking into the magical world of mermaids and mermen.
I'm proud to be creating with this lovely, Myrtle. The instant I saw her I knew I wanted to do some paper piecing. I wish I could have gotten a better picture of all the sparkle on the DP I used to paper piece, it's covered with Wink of Stella. The only other embellishment is the tiny rhinestone in the center of the flower in her hair. So much inspiration with these darling new images so be sure and visit the Design Teams' blogs.

Smile Often
And eat watermelon because, after all, today is National Watermelon Day! That's our theme for the clean & simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz. All you need to do is create a CAS card with a watermelon on it. Simple enough. I like mine with salt...anyone else? I found this Bugaboo Stamps (Picnic Ant - Watermelon) image already printed AND colored...lucky me! I added some glossy accents to the slice of watermelon for some fun shine. Sure hope you can join us for some yummy fun at The Outlawz.
