Sweet Flower Teapot

We're back, with a new sketch for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. You know how excited I get when I can use my paper scraps...well this sketch allows you to do just that. Perfect!!

Our sponsor this week is a favorite, Bugaboo Stamps. Owner and artist Jodie is offering 7 free digis to our winner this week...good luck narrowing it down!!!

Here's my card, using the adorable Flower Teapot. I love those two little ladybugs hiding out amidst the flowers. My initial plan was to emboss the white layer, but got going on assembling my card and completely forgot. Oh well, kinda like the clean and simple look too. Please join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for a fabulous challenge and sponsor.

Sitting Here Thinking of You

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Anything Goes challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door. I simply couldn't resist using a new release from Doodle Pantry, It's My Potty. Very elegant and very feminine set. But the sentiments are hilarious!!! Now pink and yellow are not my go to color combo, but when I see 'em together, I love how they look!! I hope you can join the challenge at Through the Craftroom Door for you chance at some Doodle Pantry goodies.

Non-Traditional Christmas Colors

I'm desperately trying to get myself ahead of the blogging game!! Hubby and I leave early tomorrow morning for a little anniversary get-away...to Disney World!! So lots of my posts have been scheduled - sure hope they post without a hitch. Our challenge for the next two weeks at Holly Jolly Christmas is non-traditional Christmas colors. I LOVE this kind of challenge!!! I'm using a Bugaboo image (our sponsor), Little Penguin Winter - Candy Cane. So many wild colors...after all, who ever heard of a bright pink penguin?!! Sure hope you can join us at Holly Jolly Christmas for our color challenge.

Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Release

Hooray, the new digital release at Fresh Brewed Designs is here!!! We promised waves of fun and I think we delivered!! Gorgeous images from owner and illustrator  (and dear friend) Heather Dennis! We're looking into the magical world of mermaids and mermen.

I'm proud to be creating with this lovely, Myrtle. The instant I saw her I knew I wanted to do some paper piecing. I wish I could have gotten a better picture of all the sparkle on the DP I used to paper piece, it's covered with Wink of Stella. The only other embellishment is the tiny rhinestone in the center of the flower in her hair. So much inspiration with these darling new images so be sure and visit the Design Teams' blogs.

Smile Often

And eat watermelon because, after all, today is National Watermelon Day! That's our theme for the clean & simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz. All you need to do is create a CAS card with a watermelon on it. Simple enough. I like mine with salt...anyone else? I found this Bugaboo Stamps (Picnic Ant - Watermelon) image already printed AND colored...lucky me! I added some glossy accents to the slice of watermelon for some fun shine. Sure hope you can join us for some yummy fun at The Outlawz.

Have a Fin-tastic Day!

After all, it is Friday AND it's the first of the month, so that means a new month long progressive challenge over at Imagine That! Kris has created an adorable set called Dolphins. I went with the color version (no surprise there!!) for a fin-tastic masculine card. The swirly background is a new embossing folder that I just got and couldn't wait to put to use. Now if you played along in the challenge last month, you will receive this set free. Otherwise, purchase it HERE and link up at the Imagine That blog to be eligible for next month's set.
