Using Up Scraps

That darn scrap bin never gets any smaller though!!! I cased this layout from a fellow SCSer. Used some background paper by Dreamstreet that I actually made two scrapbook pages from!! I submitted them to our local scrapbook store for a monthly contest -- prizes are store gift certificates!! I won second place last month, my first time submitting too!
Anyway, back to the card, I also used Close to coca, Sahara sand, Certainly celery, and Bliss blue. Love those scallop punches!!!!! The flower center, the flower, the scallop circle, and the oval giggle are all popped up with dimensionals.

DSS Round 2

Isn't this a gorgeous card!!!!! I received it yesterday from my DSS -- Divine Secret Sibling. For the next 3 months my "Big Sis" will send cards and an occassional goodie then the end of July will reveal herself to me. It is a lot of fun. I send cards and gifts to my Little Sis, but unfortunately I can't post the cards, just in case she's looking!!!

This card was stamped, the insides of the flowers bleached out, and colored with reinkers. Fantastic job Sis!! Keep looking, I'll be posting them on my blog for all to see!!!!!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Well if April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring???????????????????????????????????
Pilgrims!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, that was a joke from my 11 year old! Yeah, he got me on that one too!
I finally used some images I received from the generous ladies of Wish RAK. I was thrilled to use this happy guy along with some scraps of background paper. I love the bold brights! Such a fun card to make. It is going for a swap but I did make sure I made extras!!!

Love These Little Square Cards!

I just adore these 4 1/4 square cards! They're fun to create and the best part is they fit into a regular A2 envelope!
This one is for a swap using Very Punny. I couldn't decide on a background stamp when the lightbulb suddenly went off -- use your Cuttlebug!! Colors are Chocolate chip, Green galore, Garden green and Very vanilla. No need for a lot of coloring which is quite alright for me!!

Hey Hey, It's Tuesday!!!!

Yep, it's Tuesday and I've posted to my blog for the third day in a row!! Wow is right!!!
This card is for a scallop punch swap I'm in. I love those scallop punches! Now don't laugh, but I dreamt about these colors the other night so I felt like I had to use them -- Rose red, Cool caribbean, Barely banana, and Certainly celery. The rose of course has, as a friend of mine would say, a touch of sparkle on it. Gotta love Stickles too!!!

WHAT? NO STAMPIN' UP STAMPS???!!!

I found a swap that allowed us to use TAC stamps, how fun!! I've had this chick set for quite sometime now and have finally used it! It's really cute and fun to play with! The chick is colored with watercolored pencils and lots of soft subtle colors of cardstock were used. I took the colors directly from the background paper.
Let's all just keep on cluckin'!!!

What a Slaker!!

Actually, I have been very, very busy, not just slacking. With that said in my own defense, here's a card I finally made and uploaded. It's for a monthly swap I'm lucky enough to be involved in -- these ladies are so very talented. The theme was baby cards, and believe it or not, I don't own very many baby stamps so this one was a real challenge. I love the look of punching the holes out on the giraffe's spots so the layer underneath can be seen. And I had to break into the new DSP from the spring mini -- it's yummy. My colors are Sage shadown, Pretty in pink, Barely banana, Close to cocoa and Very vanilla. I just sent them off to the swap hostess, and like a little kid at Christmas, I can't wait to get them back!!
