Anything But a Card

It's Anything But a Card Monday at Catch the Bug and I've created a notepad and pen holder. I had made one way back in my Stampin' Up demo days and with this adorable Bugaboo image, AKV - Best Teacher Ever, I knew I had to make another! The pen fits nicely along the side and when the ribbon is untied, the notepad is neatly found tucked inside. A perfect teacher's gift. Be sure and head over to Catch the Bug to see what other fabulous projects the design team created.

Hello Hello

This is my third post for today so be sure and check 'em all out!  It's time for a new Stella Says Sketch over at Catch the Bug. It's fantastic because it allows for the use of pattern paper scraps!!!

Here's my card, using the sweet Cute Puppy Colored from Bugaboo. I was running out of time to craft so a pre-colored digi was perfect!! Then I hit my scrap pile and came out with these too pieces. Too bad I don't ever see that pile getting any smaller!!! You have two weeks for this sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug, sure hope you can join us.

Thinking of You

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations...and here are those adorable cupcakes!!! These are almost too cute to eat...notice I said almost!!

The black/white/red color palette is what I was inspired by. A classic and favorite color combo of mine. From Doodle Pantry I used the flower and sentiment from Poppies and the digital paper from Lady Bug Hugs. Hope you can play along at Cupcake Inspirations for you chance at winning a Doodle Pantry gift certificate.

Thinking of You Clean and Simple Style

We have a great clean & simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz - thinking of you cards. I've made it goal to send out a card or two every week so thinking of you is what I use most. I decided to use a Hero Arts must have stamp and die set that hasn't seen much love, You're So Lovely. The black diamond border comes from Gina K Designs, and the sentiment is a stamp set and die from the latest Stamp of Approval kit, Beautiful World. Did you notice I used purple?!!! In fact, the same purple ink I used on the flower I smeared onto a scrap piece of white to die cut the word "you" as well as used direct to paper technique for the purple layer. So fun and ready for the mailbox! Hope you can join us over at The Outlawz for our thinking of you CAS challenge.

Color Challenge

Today we have a Color Challenge going on at Catch the Bug. I see purple...and a lot of it!!!!! That's okay, I'm not as turned off by purple as much as I used to be!! I must be mellowing with my old age!

The moment I saw the colors, I thought of a purple monster!! And what a cutie this one is from Bugaboo, Birthday Monster - Balloon. And oh how purple is he?!! Hope you can join us this week over at Catch the Bug for our Color Challenge.

It's time for Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo!! What a great way to build you collection of fun and fabulous images!! This one is called Cupcake Tray. Perfect for a sweet birthday card. I'm not too happy with the way my card came out. I think it's the pattern paper that's throwing me off. Then my wink of stella pen decided to come out in one big messy glob on the top cupcake...yes, it way one of those days!!! Be sure and pick up you freebie from Bugaboo and check out all the awesome samples from the design team at the Bugaboo blog, Catch the Bug.

Coffee, Coffee, and More Coffee!

There are some days one cup of coffee just isn't enough! Today is Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch the Bug, and I used the fun Bugaboo image Girlz Coffee on my card. I can't get enough of those bunny slippers!!!!! The sentiment comes from the Coffee & Biscotti set by Doodle Pantry. I'm thinking a cup of coffee that big, yes, anything is possible!!!

Boy have we been lucky the past few days. The sun has been out bright and warm...love it!!! Summer is definitely on its way. We had a new release at Imagine That with fun and fabulous summer themed sets. My card uses the adorable Pool Girl...doesn't that look like fun?!!! Wishing You Well

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Anything Goes challenge going on at the Stampart Papel challenge blog. I decided to go with the Doodle Pantry set Watering Can, because I haven't created with it yet!! Plus I found it and the digital paper that comes in this set in my already printed off pile!! Showers and Flowers

We've got a fun theme this week for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz - make a clean and simple card with both flowers and rain. After all, April showers bring May flowers! Last week it was snow showers though!!! This week the sun is out and the window screens are now in...summer is on its way! I'm not so sure I like my card, I think it's the watercolored background that completely throws me. I have to learn to love the randomness and give up the control!! My raindrops are glossy accents. The flowers are die cuts (out of felt) from Taylored Expressions and the sentiment is from Gina K Designs. Take a moment to join us at The Outlawz, it's a warm and welcoming site with daily challenges. Then join us for some CAS fun with our showers and flowers challenge!

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
Addicted to CAS - Rain
Polkadoodles - Floral Frenzy
CRAFT - Clean and Simple
Moving Along With the Times - Spring Flowers
Addicted to Stamps and More - Clean and Simple
Crafty Gals Corner - Dies or Punches
Little Red Wagon - April Showers

Chicken in on You

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Humorous challenge over at Creative Knockouts. Doodle Pantry has so many punny sets it was hard to narrow it down to just one!!! I decided to use the fun Quirky Rooster & Hen for my card. Yes, I used purple...shockers I know!!! I've been trying to mail out more cards so trying to keep the sentiment to a thinking of you theme. I think "chicken in on you" counts as just that!!!! For you chance to win some Doodle Pantry goodness, join in on the humorous challenge over at Creative Knockouts

Sending My Love

I have another card to share with you today. This one uses the adorable Mailbox Kitties and Cat Pack digital paper, all from Imagine That. This images makes me think of my two kitties...and I smile! I pulled out a recently purchased pawprint embossing folder too. I set a goal for myself to start mailing out more "just because" cards so it looks like this one will be added to that pile.

Sweet Hugs to You!

Check out the new sketch we have for you to try at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. It really comes together quickly so I hope you can join us!

Our sponsor for this challenge (it goes for 2 weeks) is A Day for Daisies. Talk about fabulous images!! Be sure and take a spin through the shop, I know you'll find some must haves!!!

Here's my card, using the adorable New Shoes image. I'm lovin' the shades of teal and aqua lately so I knew I had to use some on my card today!! Her wings are sparkly with some Wink of Stella, too bad the camera couldn't pick it up. We look forward to what you create over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Still Looking for my Mojo

Yep, my mojo is still missing. I have several DT card that I need to make but how do you do that when nothing works during the creative process??? It took me 3 days to make this card for a challenge over at Stamp Nation and I'm still not sure I like it! I started out partially sponging on the background using a stencil from Hero Arts. The bird, branch and sentiment come from a Paper Trey Ink set called Spring Woods. Back to my stamp room I go in attempts to get something else made...this may take a while!!!

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Spring is in the Air
QKR Stampede - Spring Has Sprung
Cards 4 Galz - Springtime
DRS Designs - To Die For
Crafting for all Seasons - Use dies or punches
Animal Friends - Birds
Crafting Musketeers - Spring is in the Air

Well I thought for sure I had posted this card, but obviously I didn't!!! It's for the YELLOW challenge we have going on at the Fresh Brewed Blog. Have a Rockin' Birthday

I'm having a hard time making cards this weekend, my mojo seems to have up and left me!! I put together a quick card for the clean and simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz. Our theme is a birthday card for a young boy or girl. Since I was not in the mood to color (I rarely am!!), I used the color version of an Imagine That digi called Jammin' Janey. I had to dig deep in my scrap pile for these two  pieces of pattern paper! Quick and easy this clean and simple card was, exactly what I needed for the lack of mojo goin' around!!

Cow Are You?

We have a new challenge starting today over at Catch the Bug, and it's Anything Goes. Sometimes that can be difficult for me because I have so many Bugaboo images, it's hard to narrow 'em all down to just one!!!!! I ended up using this Pretty Cow from my stack of digital images that I print off but never put on a project...until now! Talk about a simple layout too, but I love it! I hope to see you with your Anything Goes project over at Catch the Bug.

Welcome Spring

It's time for a new challenge at the Imagine That blog, Creative Playground. Our theme this month is "Spring is in the Air." I used a pre-colored digi from the Fuschia & Hummingbird set...isn't it gorgeous?!! The sentiment comes from Leesa's Tulip. I usually get fuschias for my hanging baskets on my front porch along with my hummingbird feeder. Those little miracles of nature are so fascinating, I love 'em. They will dive bomb my husband though when he's mowing the grass so I don't think he's quite the fan like I am!! I sure hope you can join us this month for our spring themed challenge over at the Creative Playground.

Let's Catch Up

The calendar says today is April 1st...I thought for sure it was a joke!!! Where did March go? The first of the month means the start of a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. For my card I used the adorable set from Doodle Pantry called Caterpillar Mail. I looked at the amount of cards I've made over the years and decided to make a more conscious effort to mail more out!!! So this one will be perfect to say "hello, how are you" to a friend I seem to only touch base with at Christmas time. Crazy I know but how fun is it to get, well, fun mail?!!!!! Join us this month over at the Doodle Pantry Blog for our Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge.
