Progressive Challenge #2

Yes, I am running WAY behind, almost forgetting to do my two progressive challenge cards. This one is for the challenge at The Outlawz. This sweet image is from All Dressed Up. Isn't she darling?!!! And may I say, I'm happy with the way I colored her. Coloring for me is very stressful, and I'm very inconsistent with the results. Today, however, I really, really like it. No doubt tomorrow will be a different story!!

From the Heart Progressive Challenge

As most of you know, I totally adore snowmen. So imagine my delight when I got this cutie FREE for playing along last month in the From the Heart progressive challenge. Nothing like waiting till the last minute though to put him to use!! But I made it before the month was over. You can find the January Stamp of the Month, Little Snowman, HERE at From the Heart. Hurry up and create with him this month and share you creation HERE at the From the Heart Blog and you'll receive next month's stamp of the month set free!! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Sweet Treat

It's Wednesday and time for our latest sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Actually, it's an old sketch, brought back for our last Wednesday of the month "blast from the past." It's a good one, don't you agree?!!

And I've got another goodie for you, our sponsor...it's Fresh Brewed Designs. Just yesterday Heather released some super gorgeous images so be sure and check 'em out!

For my card, I used the yummy Sweetheart Cupcake. I adore this image! Perfect for those few Valentine cards I send. I know, I know, I totally messed up the sketch. I had it in my mind this was exactly where the sentiment would go, even cutting out my image circle off center to accommodate the sentiment. Well imagine my surprise when I looked at the sketch again and discovered my sentiment was supposed to go in a different spot!!! I tried it in the bottom right corner but it didn't look good at all so I stayed with my original mixed up plan!!! Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Fresh Brewed Designs Digi Release

Welcome to the latest release at Fresh Brewed Designs. Heather has really come up with some fun and unique images. I used Face 6 on my card. I wish you could see it in real life...I used wink of stella on her "mask" and the blue strip is glitter paper as well. I can't tell you the last time I created with so much sparkle!!! Yes, I'm being sarcastic as I am not a lover of glitter (I know, I heard some of you GASP!!). I love these face images!! Come back Thursday when I share another one.

Stay safe and warm if you're in the path of the latest winter storm. We got 8 inches of snow yesterday in Pittsburgh and my back is feeling it from all that shoveling.

Basil

It's Tuesday and time for a look at what's new at Doodle Pantry. Actually, what's new is old!!!! We call the fourth Tuesday of the month Flashback Focus. Laurie will focus on an older product, offering it at a discount for a week! Here is the newly, color added, Basil set. You know me, I used the color version along with papers included in this set. Don't you just love the colors?!! I know I do. Check out the three sets  released today, and one is free with purchase, Little Girl Valentine, TODAY ONLY. Don't miss out!

Thinking of You

This week, over at The Outlawz, we're having an Anything Goes theme for our clean and simple challenge. So the sky's the limit. Of course I was running behind so mine had to be also quick and easy!!! I enjoy making my own stamped backgrounds, so that's what I did here, using a stamp set from Avery Elle called All Squared Up. In my hurried state, I goofed up a portion of the background, so the white and black strip served as a cover up! Problem solved. Sure hope you can join us at The Outlawz for our anything goes clean and simple challenge.

A Birthday Wish

Tada!!! I finished the last card for the week of challenges going on over at Catch the Bug. Today was a recipe challenge - I went with Animal Crackers (I still love those cookies!!) - use at least one animal on your card and Stickles or liquid pearls.

And here's my card, using from Bugaboo the adorable Bee Bear Flowers. His wings were the perfect place to add a little Stickles. I had to pull out my honeycomb embossing folder as well as some glitter paper for the little banner. Clean and simple...perfect!!

Send in the Clowns

Yesterday at Catch the Bug, the challenge was to include a clown on your project. I found this fun one, from Bugaboo, called  Clown Around Unicycle. Keeping it clean and simple, just the way I like it!! One more day to go and I will have all 7 challenges completed!!! Just waiting for the Stickles to dry then finish putting it together. And the best part is I don't work tonight so I will have time to play!!

Have a Yummy Day

Okay, here we go, down to the wire of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash going on at their blog, Catch the Bug. Wednesday's challenge was to use humor on a birthday project. Not only did I have this adorable Bugaboo image, Bubbles Birthday Cake, printed out, but I also had it colored up for a project that never came to be!! Time saver for me, that's for sure!!  And talk about lucky, because in my search thru my stack of printed images, I found this sentiment too. Fabulous!!

Color Challenge

Now that's more like it, I'm way behind on the challenges going on over at Catch the Bug to celebrate Bugaboo's 5th birthday. The color challenge is for Day 4, Tuesday (today is Thursday!!!). Told ya I was behind!

Here's my card, using from Bugaboo the image Flower Garden. Once again, I pulled this image from a stack that were already printed off to use someday. Well it seems that day is today!!! Back to my stamp room I must go!

Happy B-day!

I'm all out of sorts today, overslept but boy did it feel wonderful to do so!!!! I want to share my b-day card using a Fresh Brewed Designs image, Coffee Cake. I've been in the mood for not so traditional colors lately and figured brown and green for a birthday card hit the mark on that one! Yeah, then I thought I'd add a touch of pink, just because. I used paper scraps AND a previously printed off image...hooray for that! The gold buckle is actually a die cut, and I think that's the first time for using that die!

I wanted to let you know we're having a new digi release at Fresh Brewed Designs January 27th. A few sneak peeks can be found on the Fresh Brewed Blog

Also, if you share the above badge on your blog or Facebook page, you'll receive this cute ladybug image absolutely FREE! Read all the details HERE.

Love Monster

I can't say it enough, but we at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 are always so happy for our faithful followers. Talk about lots of inspiration each week. This week is sure to please with this wonderful sketch to play along with.

I'm always happy when it's time to show off our monthly sponsor, Digi Stamp Boutique. Owner Sally Ann is so talented and generous, we sure do love her!

Here is my card, using the totally fabulous Love Monster. I adore the whole Monster family over at Digi Stamp Boutique! 'Tis the time of year to get a few Valentines created. The pink layer under my image as is glitter paper and the heart Mr. L. Monster is holding is sparkly thanks to wink of Stella. So fun and glitzy!! Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I will be submitting my card into the January customer competition over at the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog.

A Valentine's Wish

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this glorious sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Here's my card, using from Doodle Pantry the image/sentiment from Spring Trimmings and the digital paper from Hearts A Flutter. I love the idea of an upside down tag for the main image...so clever. I hope you can join them this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches for your chance at some Doodle Pantry winnings.

Doodle Pantry Release

Doodle Pantry is having a mini release of some very sweet set and SVG cuts today. I was lucky enough to get to work with this sweet set, Little Boy Valentines. Having two not so little boys in my life, I knew this set would come in handy. My first card uses the chest image and is sending loads of hugs. I mailed this one out to a little boy that I totally adore and teach taekwondo to that was in the hospital. Mom said it sure brought a smile to his face.

Aren't these little overalls adorable?!!! The design of the tilted image panel came to be purely by accident. Before adhering everything down I was playing around with placement when my cat decided to pay me a visit. She knocked things all askew, making me realize that turning the overalls a little wonky was actually kinda fun!

Today and today only, all the items released today are 25% off. Be sure and get 'em quick. Check them all out HERE.

Let's Be Merry

Welcome to our newest challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas. Our challenge runs for two weeks and our theme is SPARKLE. Sparkle and Christmas cards seem to go hand in hand. I'm using one of our sponsor's images, Christmas Mermaid from Sami Stamps. There's lots of sparkle here...I used Stickles on the trim of her hat and suit. The actual hat itself and body of the mermaid I used my clear Wink of Stella. Wish you could see this in real life, the sparkle really is awesome. Join us at Holly Jolly Christmas and show off your sparkly goodness.

I want to add this card to the "GLITTER" challenge going on at the Sami Stamps Blog.

Happy Birthday Bugaboo

Today's challenge over at Catch the Bug is using this photo for inspiration. The possibilities are endless!!

I went to my stack of images I printed off long ago for other projects (that never came to be) and found this sweet clown - Lil Clown 4. Stripes and circles seem to be the pattern of these cakes, so I used and embossing folder and scrap paper to fulfill that part of my inspiration. Quick and fun to make. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us tomorrow over at Catch the Bug!!

Happy B-day!

I'm joining in the challenges over at Catch the Bug to celebrate Bugaboo's 5th Birthday. Yesterday was a sketch challenge...and you know how I love sketches!!

Here's my card, using from Bugaboo KIDZ Girl and Flowers. I found it in a stack of Bugaboo digis I had already printed off so I decided to finally put it to use. Now on to the next challenge!!!

Bugaboo Birthday

Bugaboo Stamps is turning 5 and they're having a fun week of challenges to celebrate over at their blog, Catch the Bug. I'm already behind (no surprise there) but wanted to give all the challenges a try. Yesterday we played Bingo.

And here's my card, going with embossing, clown and buttons. My image is Clown Around Rings, my embossing is with a folder, and my little orange buttons are actually die cuts. Time to bring out the bright colors when working with a clown and birthdays!!! Now to get to work on the rest of the week! After all, there's some magnificent prizes to be had. Read all about it over at Catch the Bug.

Merry

Okay, I think I need help...I CAN'T STOP MAKING CHRISTMAS CARDS!!!!! This one is actually for our clean and simple challenge over at The Outlawz. I'm the hostess this week and I'm afraid I came up with one doozie of a challenge - not only make a holiday card, but absolutely use non-traditional colors. I went with Christmas, of course, and a blue/brown color palette. CRAZY!! But may I say, I love the way this turned out! I die cut "Merry" four times then glued them together for a nice touch of thickness. The poinsettia is also a die cut with a gold sparkly adhesive dot in the center. The panel is then popped up onto the card base. Very quick and fun to create. Join us at The Outlawz this week for some crazy yet fun holiday colors, CAS style.

Be Cool

Well would you look at that, I never posted my card for today!!! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Aloha Friday Challenges - use your scraps. That's been a goal of mine for quite some time. Funny how that scrap pile never seems to go down! My other goal is to start using the digital images I've printed off for other projects that never ended up being used. Both of those goals are covered here. I used from Doodle Pantry the adorable Ski Sheep. Seems that I used a sentiment from a different set by mistake (that's what happens when you print off images and don't put them to use right away!!) - Snowboarding Birdie to be exact. Dig into your scrap pile and join them at Aloha Friday Challenges, maybe you could be the winner of some Doodle Pantry goodness.

One of Those Days

Yes, it's been one of those days...and it's only 9:30 in the morning!!! I slept right thru my alarm then had a meeting that I actually made it on time for. I think I was just extra sensitive because everything discussed in the meeting just REALLY got on my nerves! I need to hit Starbucks to calm myself down!!

Okay, rant over, on to my card. I wanted to remind you of the "favorites" challenge going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. I've returned to two of my favorites, pattern paper and brads. I'm adding to that list my resolution to work on my scrap pile as well as digis I've printed off for previous projects but for one reason or another never put them to use. Say hello to, from Fresh Brewed Designs, Fairy Sweet Day. As soon as I saw this sweet thing with her heart "flower" I knew it would become a Valentine's Day card. I love thinking outside the box! Hope you can join us at the Fresh Brewed Blog and share your favorites.

Sweet Love

Welcome back, time for a new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Gotta love it 'cause it lets me use pattern paper that I seem to be hoarding!!!

Our sweet sponsor this week is Sami Stamps. She really has some adorable images. And check out her blog too, right now the challenge is to use a Sami Stamps image and some glitter...fabulous!

I didn't use any glitter but I did use one of those adorable images I was telling you about. This one is called Warm Love. I'm hooked on brown and red together so I bought a 6 x 6 paper pack by Bazzill called Nordic Pines. I love the addition of the black! And I would love for you to join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for some sketchy fun.

Many Thanks

I was in need of a few more holiday thank yous, so the timing of the thank you challenge over at Stamp TV couldn't be more perfect. One stipulation, it needed to be a 4 x 4 square card. No problem!! I just got some silver embossing powder from Gina K Designs and wanted to put it to use. The bird and partridge come from the set Holiday Cheer while the sentiment is from Pleasant Plurals. I had lots of fun embossing this! Quick and easy and already put in the mail.

Happy Brrrrrthday!

Who else said "ADORABLE" when you saw this picture?!! You all know my love for snowmen, and snowmen on cupcakes...even better!! This picture is for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week that Doodle Pantry is sponsoring.

And here's my card, using the sweet set from Doodle Pantry Winter Birthday. I can't say enough about this darlin' snowman. This will be perfect for my niece whose birthday is Dec. 26th. And she recently moved to Idaho where there's lots of snow!!! The papers are also from this set...don't you just love these colors?!! Play along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for your chance at some Doodle Pantry goodness.

50 and Fabulous!

It's Sunday and that means a new clean and simple challenge over at The Outlawz. This week we're focusing on numbers. I needed a fun birthday card for my sister-in-law who is "forever 50"...and fabulous!!! Since I am a year younger than her, I told her I'm gonna have to stick with 49 again!! Anyway, I heat embossed the background onto watercolor paper. I then used watercolor crayons and a wet paintbrush to attempt to blend. The green took over the project so blending didn't happen quite like I wanted it to. The numbers are die cut and covered in sparkly goodness thanks to a wink of stella clear pen. Clean and simple for sure. Now it's your turn to join us and share some # fun at The Outlawz.

Say hello to this lovely couple, Snow in Love. What are some of my other favorites represented here? Clean and simple style, brads, sewing, stickles, and pattern paper. Lots of favorites on one card. Sure hope you can join us this month at the Fresh Brewed Blog to share some of your favorites.

Sweet Love

Guess what day it is!!! It's hump day and a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Our first sketch of the new year...HOORAY!!

And I'm always thrilled when we have Bugaboo Stamps as our sponsor. There are so many wonderfully funny and fabulous images to pick from.

Like this great image, Valentine Jar. Can you believe all the purples I used on this?!! No, I've not totally become of lover of purple yet, just going out of my comfort zone!!! I sure hope you can join us this week now that the holiday crazies are gone for another year. We love seeing your wonderful projects at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

A challenge I'm entering my card into is:

Moo-chas Gracias

Happy New Year!! And with the new year comes some changes at the Doodle Pantry Blog. We are replacing our monthly Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge with a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge! It will have a theme each month, there will be no featured product, and two winners will be chosen randomly. For all the details, check it out on the Doodle Pantry Blog.

This month our theme is Milk (did you know January 11th is Milk Day? Me either!!) AND add buttons. I used the newly released (just today!!) Moo Birdie. Isn't he a cutie?!!! Love the costumes this birdie dresses up into!! My buttons happen to be brads...is that cheating?!! I'm in need of some thank you cards so this one works perfectly. Join us for some milk related fun. And be sure and check out the newly released sets today at Doodle Pantry.
