Sweet Summer Wishes

I need the next couple of days to fly by because my hubby and I leave next week for a 4 day trip to Disney World to celebrate our anniversary. Once I talked him into the idea of a trip for 2, I told him I would make all the plans and reservations...if I get to pick the place!!!! Hehehe, sneaky!!

Here's my reminder card for the challenge going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog -- By the Sea/Summer. I used a Fresh Brewed Designs cutie called Grace Summertime. She really is so adorable and a favorite of mine.

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
The House That Stamps Built - Sketch
Handmade Harbour - Summer Fun
Whimsy Stamps - Summertime
Love to Create - Summer Lovin'

Sweet Black Eyed Susans

Since it's the last Wednesday of the month, it's time for a twisted challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. First of all, use this blast from the past sketch with the twist...polka dots. A lot or a little, doesn't matter, we just want to see some dots.

Our sponsor this week is Pattie's Creations. Be sure and head on over to her store, you'll find lots of fun images there!!!

Speaking of fun, I had just that creating with these beautiful Black Eyed Susans. I think they are beautiful flowers, and the deer just ate mine up!!! Maybe I'll try planting them again and keep my fingers crossed. My dots might be a little more subtle within the designer paper (from the Black Eyed Susan set at Doodle Pantry), but they're there. Have fun with our twisted challenge this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Aloha!

Hello to you!! I wanted to share a card I made with a newly released set from Imagine That called Hula Girl. Talk about a darling set!!! I used the sketch from The Paper Players - so fun with those three banners. I rarely use coral colors so this was a real treat! A perfect simple card to mail off to a friend just to say "hi."

You can find the outline version of this cutie as a freebie on the Imagine That blog or by liking the Facebook group. And if you'd like the full set including this color version and sentiments, use the coupon code HULA for $1 off! Thanks Kris!!!

Sea You Around

What a day!!! This morning was a little crazy and a whole lot stressful...but it's over with and now I can breathe. I wanted to share a card that makes me happy - yes, I know, it uses purple!!!! The image is from the new release at Doodle Pantry called Carousel Seahorse. I absolutely love the color combination, and I love the chevron digital paper also included in this set. I wanted to make use of some new dies I just got from Technique Tuesday called Flair Maker. Love the banners with the cutouts...I decided to inlay the hearts back in, just in a different color.

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
Melonheadz Friends - Things with wings or tails
The Crazy Challenge - Die cuts and punches
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes / add a sentiment twist
Fairy Tale Challenge - Use a digital stamp

Happy Birthday to You

Having fun with my dies and stamps. And here to share the latest CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is "Diamonds and Pearls." Actually any shiny sparkly bling will do. I used some sequins, a rhinestone, and a metal dot. My stamps and dies all came from Simon Says Stamp - Hello You, Wide Stripes Background, and Big You Die. Clean and simple and oh so fun to make.

A Merry Little Christmas

Another snowman card...told you I am a huge fan!!! This card is for the progressive challenge over at From the Heart. The stamp set is called Winter Friends and can be purchased HERE. I let the colors of a new holiday paper pack I just got be my guide so gray and green it is. I had to pop in a touch of red with the bird...I love seeing bright red cardinals against the white snow. Quick and easy, just my style.

Fridays are the weekly inspiration day of the Imagine That design team and guests, so be sure and check out their projects HERE. Have a wonderful weekend.

Summer Fun!

I FINALLY got this simple card done today...too many interruptions!! It's to remind you of our latest challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog, By the Sea/Summer. We were at the beach this summer for vacation, so that summer fun is still fresh in my mind (and I sure wish I was still there!!). I used from Fresh Brewed Designs the digital image Beach Ball. I printed it off 3 times, even flipping one of them horizontally so it was facing the opposite direction. And this fun embossed and shiny paper was a stash find, perfect for the summer/sea theme. Sure hope you can join our challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog, you have till Aug. 5th to play along.

When I saw this fun image from our sponsor QKR Stampede, I knew it wasn't halls I'd be decking...it would be a cactus!!! The image is called Christmas Cactus and can be found HERE. I added a bit of sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen on the lights, ornaments, and star, just wish you could see it. Sure hope you can join us at Holly Jolly Christmas for our Deck the Halls challenge.

So Cool

It's Monday, need I say more?!! Anyway, I wanted to share my card using July's Digi of the Month from Deedee's Digis. It is so cool!!! Of course I used the colored image, such a time saver. My papers I found in a stock pile of 12 x 12's that I recently uncovered. It felt like shopping all over again because I didn't remember having these. Figured this will make a good winter time get well card, when colds seem to hit with a vengeance. With this being a progressive challenge, I am now eligible for next month's digi set...can't wait to see what it is!!!

Tag, You're It!

Happy Sunday...and that means a new CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. This week our theme is tags - whether you create a tag by itself or place it on a card, we want to see a tag, clean and simple style. I'm using the digital image and papers from Imagine That! -- J'aime Paris and Paris in Summer digital papers. I die cut the digital paper with one tag die and the Eiffel Tower image with a second tag die. Fun to create, and it was quick and easy too!! Exactly what CAS is meant to be! Join us this week at The Outlawz because tag, you're it!!

A Christmas Hi

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge, and their theme is Christmas in July. I had so many options to choose from at Doodle Pantry, it was hard to narrow it down to just one! I ended up going with Candy Cane Ants, because after all, nothing says a Christmas "hi" like ants sliding down a candy cane!!! I initially thought a tent card would be fun, but ended up cutting my papers for a full A2 that I just went with it. A VERY simple design, but a quickie card for sure.

Challenges I'd like to submit my card to are:
Aud Sentiments - Christmas in July
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Christmas in July
Scrapbooker PhD - Go Digital + Optional Animal
Addicted to Stamps - Clean & Simple

Be Merry

Here we go, another fabulous sketch for you to try at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. It's super fun, and another one to help use up scrap paper!!
Our sponsor this week is the wonderful and generous Sally Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique. She has a store full of adorable images...take a moment for a look. You'll have your cart filled up in no time. Our winner this week will receive a £10 voucher.

Here's my card, using the sweet image Hattie and Buddy. How fun to have a friend to go out in the snow with!! Yes, I forgot the three embellies in the bottom right corner. That just shows you how lazy I really am...I certainly could have put them on and taken a new picture, but I didn't!! Pitiful indeed!! I sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I am submitting this card to the July customer competition on the Digi Stamp Boutique blog.

Yep, it is time to share our latest digital stamp release at Fresh Brewed Designs. And we aren't monkeying around with this one!!!

Actually Heather's release this month is ALL monkeys! And adorable ones at that!! I would like for you to say hello to Bubbles, one monkey who won best dressed in her summer party dress!!! My favorite color palette is the earth tones, so I always try to talk myself into stepping outside the box. It helps when you have several paper packs on your desk to give you some ideas!! Bright and summery, perfect for hitting the pool with all her friends!

Now be sure and stop by Fresh Brewed Designs to see all the wonderful images being released this month. You'll be wild about them too.

Missing You

Welcome to our Sunday CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Dots, dots and more dots is our theme this week. I'm still in a patriotic mood so I went with a red, white and blue color palette. Okay, my dots are rather large, remind me of what we call circles (hahaha!!). I punched them out in various sizes, tacked them down so they stay in place, then added my one and only embellishment, a row of sewing. I left the tails long on my thread for a hint of fun. The sentiment comes from Paper Smooches, Circle of Honor to be exact. I will add this to my growing pile of cards for OWH. Join us this week for a lots of dots theme clean and simple challenge over at The Outlawz.

Merci

I've gotta tell ya, I am having so much fun being a guest designer for Imagine That! Please stop by Kris's store, I know you'll find LOTS of fabulous stuff!!

When I saw the new set J'aime Paris, I knew I simply had to have it! And the papers, Paris in Summer, are a perfect compliment. I was in need of a quick thank you card, and this colored digi fit the bill. I don't know that Paris is a city that I absolutely would love to visit...crazy I know. My son had a layover at the Paris airport last summer on his way home from a school trip to Italy. That's the closest any one of us will be I think!!

Hooray for Friday!!! And hooray for a new card using an adorable image from Imagine That! The digi set is called Frog Boots/Pansies Planter and the blue flower paper is from the Blossoms & Bugs set. The sketch is from OWH...I love that they list the measurements for all their layers.

Just a heads up, Imagine That is having a Christmas in July Progressive Challenge going on. Create a card using this adorable set, Meowy Mousemas and link it up HERE in the challenge post, you will receive the next month's featured set FREE!!

Christmas Critters

It's my first time for posting the challenge over at Holly Jolly Christmas, and the theme for the next two weeks is Christmas Critters. We all have stamps with sweet critters celebrating Christmas in their special way, so why not make something and join us!! I used one of our sponsor images, Look What I Found from Di's Digi Stamps. I adore any snowman, and this one holding the three birdies and being pulled on the sled by a penguin really made me say "awwwwww." Being in the patriotic frame of mind, I went with a red, white, and blue Christmas card...how fun!! Sure hope you can join us for some Christmas Critter fun at Holly Jolly Christmas.

His & Her Cards

OWH held a Virtual Card Making Party this past weekend. Obviously I'm getting a very late start, but I have a good excuse...we were on vacation in the Outerbanks. Yes, we were there when Hurricane Arthur hit but we decided to stay and ride it out. When the wind and rain were at its worst, I wasn't so sure we had made such a good decision. Anyway, we made it and have a good story to tell.

The very first challenge from Sybrina's blog was to use an OWH sketch and create both a his and a her card. Above is the sketch I used.

And here is my "his" card. I used the stamp set and papers from the July card kit of the month, Sending Happy Mail. I'm feeling very patriotic so red, white and blue it is!

Here's the "her" version. Same sketch, same stamp set, just different papers I found on my desk. I'm thinking it's time to clean off my desk!!! I'm going to keep working on the challenges, they all sound so fun!

Sweet Cherry Tomatoes

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Digi Sketch Challenge this week. Be sure and check it out, it's one fabulous sketch!! Their theme to go along with the sketch is "in the garden." Oh how I wish I could have a garden, but the deer would get to all the goodies before I could. I've done container gardening up on my deck, just didn't get to it this year. In memory of my Dad who always grew the best tomatoes in the whole wide world, I used the Doodle Pantry image Cherry Tomatoes. I used one of the digital papers also included in this set. This is one fun sketch, so join 'em at Digi Sketch for their "in the garden" challenge and a chance at some Doodle Pantry goodness!

Hot Diggity Dog

We are on our way home from the beach today :(  I do love being on vacation!!! Anyway, it's Sunday and time for a new CAS challenge over at The OutlawzDid you know that July is National Hot Dog Month? The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council estimates that over seven billion hot dogs will be eaten by Americans between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During the July 4th weekend alone (the biggest hot-dog holiday of the year), 155 million will be downed. That's a lot of hot dogs! So, your challenge this week is to create a card or project featuring a dog or dog related item! I've had this Penny Black stamp for quite some time now, so this was the perfect challenge to get it inked up! Join us for some hot diggity dog fun, clean and simple style, over at The Outlawz.

I Miss You Ladybug

I want to share with you I created using a sweet, sweet, sweet Imagine That image, Ladybugs. I simply had to use this cute ladybug with a daisy, pairing it with the I Miss You So Much sentiment. What do you think of the paper? It's actually digital paper from Imagine That called Blossoms & Bugs. Can you believe the wonderful variety of papers?!!! I love 'em all!! Don't forget about the monthly progressive challenge. The featured stamp set Meowy Mousemas is so cute!!! Join us for some Christmas in July fun!!

Hot Holiday Wishes

I love that sentiment with this cactus image!! It's July 1st and time for a new release at Doodle Pantry. Be sure and check 'em out. My card is to let you know of the challenge going on at the Doodle Pantry Blog this month. We actually have two themes for you to choose from - Christmas in July or Make a Splash. Yep, I went with Christmas!! I used the Holiday Cactus image and digital papers. I have a little sparkle going on...glitter brads and Wink of Stella glitter pen over the lights. And I remembered to use my sewing machine too!! There will be no featured set this month but 3 winners will be chosen from projects submitted. You can play using either theme, but you can only enter once.

Doodle Pantry is having a 30% off the entire store sale going on now until July 8th. Excluded from the sale are fundraiser products, bundles of 2 or more products, and gift certificates. Time to get shopping, but do it before July 8th!

Way to Go!!

Yesterday started a new challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog - In the Sky. I immediately thought kites and went with this sweet Fresh Brewed Designs image, Angel Cake Flies a Kite. And since we're in the sky for this challenge, why not have her floating up into the clouds! My clouds are die cuts (the little cloud popped up over the bigger cloud is helping to cover up a spot!!! Instant fix!), the blue background is embossed with a cloud embossing folder and the kite paper is digital paper also from Fresh Brewed Designs, the Summertime Digi Paper assortment. Can't wait to see what you come up with for our In the Sky challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog

Meowy Mousemas!

How exciting, I'm a guest designer this summer for Imagine That!! I couldn't be more excited! Be sure and check out Kris's shop, you'll find lots of fun digi sets and papers!

This month's challenge is Christmas in July and the adorable featured set is Meowy Mousemas. Of course I used the colored image!! I'm known for my laziness and lack of good coloring skills!!! LOL! The snowflake paper comes from the digital pack Merry & Bright. I love being able to coordinate my papers with my images. I haven't sewn on my cards in awhile so I decided to get to it again. A perfect "embellishment" for a clean and simple card.
