Sentimental Sundays

Yep, we're on our way to the beach...Outer Banks to be more specific. I hope all my scheduled posts will do just that...post!! Anyway, Clearly Digi Stamps is sponsoring Sentimental Sundays this week. Their theme is All Things Digital (plus a sentiment). Because of leaving for vacation this morning, I had to keep all my cards this week quick and easy...and this one sure was just that. I used the color version of Floral Jug & the paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad. Oh so simple yet oh so fun to make.

Be on the lookout for some pictures this week from the beach. Sure hope the rain holds off and we get lots and lots of fun in the sun.

Stars and Stripes

Hello and welcome to our latest Clean and Simple challenge at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is stars and stripes BUT no red, white & blue! I found this piece of striped paper in my scrap bin and my color palette was then decided upon. I just got some star dies too so it was fun putting them to use. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, a set called Dream in Color. I absolutely loved this sentiment and couldn't wait to use it! Now I sure hope you can join us this week for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz

Home of the Brave

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the 2 Sisters Challenge this week and their theme is "Stripes." I immediately knew I'd be using the newly released from this month Freedom Eagle. I love this image as well as this digital paper also included in the set. A simple card sure, but fun to create just the same. Hope you can join in the 2 Sisters Challenge for your chance at winning some Doodle Pantry images of your very own.

Time for a Picnic

It's a photo inspiration challenge over at Catch the Bug. Yep, I immediately thought picnic when I saw this picture. YUM, I could go for one now!! Actually, I could go for some sleep now as it's 3am and I'm still awake!!! YIKES, it isn't gonna be too pretty in the morning!

Here's my picnic card, using AKV BBQ - Picnic Table. Mmmmm, watermelon, how tasty!! I'm one of those crazy people who likes to put salt on the watermelon! Do you? I like it on my cantelope too!!

I'm going to go lay down, maybe Mr. Sandman will suddenly pay me a visit! Enjoy your Thursday, the weekend is almost here.

Sweet Happy Birthday

Happy Sweet Wednesday to you! And welcome back for another challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. How fabulous, don't you think?!!

Our sponsor this week is the one and only Bugaboo Stamps. I love their images. I don't even dare count how many of them I have...all I know is it's A LOT!!! Our winner will receive 7 digi images of their choice!! Totally fabulous! Only problem is narrowing down the list to seven!!

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Here's my card, using the darling Picnic Ant - Apple. Such a cutie, even for an ant!! I'm not much of a flower arranger, so the embellies along the bottom intimidated me at first. I decided to change 'em up to stars and dots for something different. I only wish I hadn't made this into a standard A2 card, wish I had chopped a little off the bottom. Oh well, maybe next time. Please join us for a fun and fabulous challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Counting Down the Days

We leave on Sunday for the beach (did I mention that already?!!!) and I feel like I'm heading into vacation mode early! Fighting the cold and serious sinus headache had me turning off the computer early and saying to myself, "post this card first thing in the morning." Well first thing turned into a little bit later as the morning was packed with other distractions. Anyway, say hello to the latest digi from Fresh Brewed Designs called Bikini Kim. Looks like she's beat me to the beach, enjoying the sun, surf and an ice cold lemonade. Check out all the chances to win this and all the other new June digis at the Fresh Brewed Blog. You'll find lots of inspiration too from the fun and fabulous design team. Meanwhile, enjoy your day, it's sure to be a hot one.

A Last Minute Just for Fun Card

Instead of getting ahead of the game with my card making, I ended up making a just for fun card tonight! Besides, I just got the Paper Smooches stamp sets and dies and couldn't wait to use 'em! The sketch from The Sweet Stop was my inspiration for the whole thing! The stamp set is the recently released Briny Blue and coordinating die as well as the Paper Smooches new clouds die set. I ended up using some scraps from a card I will be sharing later on this week! So fun to make...now off to get more DT cards made since I'll be on vacation next week (can I hear a HOORAY for vacation!!!).

Happy Summer

This time next week we'll be in the car driving to our beach vacation!! I can't wait! Unfortunately, I decided to catch one of those summer colds that's been going around and I feel lousy. Guess better now than next week!

I wanted to tell you about our latest Clean & Simple Challenge at The Outlawz. With summer comes the bugs and the theme for our challenge. I die cut clouds out of my white layer and used the negative piece, popping it up over the blue. The stamp set is by Lawn Fawn, Happy Summer. The watermelon was colored with Copics, cut out & popped up over two of the ants who are carrying it away to enjoy! Fun challenge, please join us over at The Outlawz.

Land of the Free

Welcome to our new Clearly iStamp Challenge for Clearly Digi Stamps. We thought we would start off with a color challenge - RED, WHITE, and BLUE. This is special challenge as well - if you are interested in being on the Clearly iStamp Design Team, play along with our challenge and put CiSCDT after your name. There are 5 openings and the commitment is for 4 months. For more details, check it out on the Clearly iStamp Blog.

My card is beyond words quick and easy. I merged two images together - Calendar Minis and Patriotic Charlie. I figured it needed a little kick, so I added the two ribbons and popped up my red and white layer. Quick, easy, clean and simple...just what I need for a busy summer! Please join us for our first Clearly iStamp Challenge.

Penny Paisley

I can't find my summer time groove yet. Routine keeps me sane, but in the summer, that routine flies away! But hey, good news, we leave in the end of the month for vacation!!! But wait, that means getting myself organized and my act together regarding my cards...YIKES!! For today, I'm playing for fun in the Catch the Bug bingo challenge.

And here's my card, using star, button and kraft brown. My image is Penny Paisley. I've had her colored up and on my desk for quite some time, so might as well put her to use!! The sketch is the recent one found at Seems a Little Sketchy. Just a fun card to say hello to someone!! Enjoy your day.

Sweet Wednesday

You would think Wednesdays don't simply come after Tuesdays the way I'm always scrambling to get my card and post done for Sweet Sketch Wednesday!!! I think in my mind it seems so far away in the week when BOOM, here it is Wednesday morning when I wake with a start realizing I hadn't posted to my blog!! Will I ever learn?! All I can say is I hope you can join us for a "blast from the past" sketch, it's a goodie.

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week. Thanks Sally Ann for your generosity and continued support of Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The winner will receive 6 free digis of their choosing.

"All images/designs are created and copyright owned by Sally-Ann Hancock. My work means the world to me - it allows my passion to draw and create, to fit with my family life too - often the inspiration for my designs. Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy creating."

Here's my card, using the lovely Flowers in Water. I really don't understand it, but I used purple yet again on a card. And I really don't like purple yet it seemed so right!!! The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry, the So Thankful Sentiments set. Do join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, we always look forward to what you create.

You Warm my Heart Ken!!

As you may know, June is Digi Month at Fresh Brewed Designs. And every Monday this month we have a new digi to share. Yesterday Ken was released in all his hunky glory!!! A quick and simple card to make...well it would have been had I turned off the TV and concentrated on getting it done!!! I hate when I allow myself to become so easily distracted, but reruns of "Friends" is so funny I can't help myself!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day today. Mine is going to be crazy busy, but at least that means it will go by fast! Thanks for stopping by.

Keep Calm and Love Cows

Welcome to our monthly blog hop for Clearly Digi Stamps. I hope you arrived here from Kathy's blog; if not, go back to the beginning at Clearly iStamp.

Our theme - Keep Calm and _______. Let me tell you, the options are endless for filling in that blank, but I went with Keep Calm and Love Cows. Why you ask? Because I had the Clearly Digi Stamps image already printed for another project and decided to use it here!!!

The digi set used is called Cow are You and can be found HERE. Of course I used the color version since time is always a factor for me! How would you like to win this set? Be sure and leave a comment and I will choose one winner from the comments received to win just that. Now I'm the last stop on our very short blog hop for this month so be sure and leave comments on ALL the design team members' blogs for the chance to win the digi set they used. HOW FUN!!!

Winners will be announced and contacted on Thursday, so be sure and leave your email address so I have a way of getting in touch with you.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! We'll be celebrating another day since our son is on his trip to Italy - lucky duck! But we wanted to stand up cheer for the men in our lives over at The Outlawz. So for our Clean & Simple Challenge, any masculine theme will do. I used a Doodle Pantry image called Hotrod Pickup. This set was recently colorized so of course I had to use it!!!! It will take a very special someone who understands my sense of humor to not be insulted by "You're a Classic!" That is digital paper I used too from the set, adding a bit of ribbon and two brads to finish up this clean, simple, quick & easy card. Hope you can play along with us at The Outlawz.

Clearly Digi Stamps June Release

I hope you've had a chance to go shopping at Clearly Digi Stamps. The new store is so fresh and new and oh so tempting!! Don't forget about the freebies this month, every Sunday and Thursday.

Today is our monthly digital release and, as always, it's marvelous. My first card showcases the new set by Laurie Wilson called Aloha. I love, love, love this digital paper that's included in the set...so much so that was the only designer papers I used! I merged two images together for my focal point, both of them the color version. This screams the tropics!

Next is my card for Deedee Anderson's set Way to Go. I plan to give this to my youngest son after his baseball season is over. I know I talked about the league he's involved in called The Miracle League, created so special needs children and adults can enjoy playing America's pastime. He loves playing catch with his new friend at summer camp and I know it's from all the time spent with him tossing and catching during his baseball games. He's my superstar!!!

Check out all the new sets and fabulous design team creations at Clearly iStamp. And be sure to load up your cart so you can start creating with them at Clearly Digi Stamps.

Come back tomorrow for our monthly blog hop. Be sure and leave comments along the way and you could win the digital stamp set used by that DT member. How exciting!!!

A Sun-Shiny Day

This  next two weeks, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog. Their challenge, For the Girls. I love this Doodle Pantry image, Hot Air Balloon Birdie. As soon as I read that sentiment, I knew I wanted to add a sunny die I cut out and ran thru an embossing folder. Love the scallops, helps to make it girlie I think. It's so funny how hard girl themed cards are for me. Guess having two boys (oops, guess I should include hubby in that number so it should be 3) is a big influence on my card making! Join the gang over at Send a Smile 4 Kids for a chance at winning some Doodle Pantry images...you'll be glad you did!

Sweet Giraffes

Happy Wednesday! Time to share our latest sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Another glorious one, great for pulling out those designer papers that we all love to hoard!!!

And we have a new sponsor this week, Stamp N Doodle.

I started Stamp-n-doodle with rubber images about 6 years ago and have expanded into Clipart, Digital images, and scrapbooking. I am am also an exclusive designer for cards, etc. on Craftsuprint. Stamp-n-doodle is an online only digital/rubber stamp, scrapbooking, & clipart web store along with our challenge Blog (Blog-a-doodle). Whether you only want to create on your computer or combine your creations with traditional items, Stamp-n-doodle has it all.

One lucky winner will receive 2 images of their choice from Stamp N Doodle.

And here's my card, using the adorable Momma & Baby Giraffe. I actually printed this image out in sepia tones then used my Copic markers to color it in. The papers are from a safari pack that I've had for years and have just now used something out of it. Yes, a paper hoarder am I!!! Hahaha! I sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Job Well Done!

I couldn't wait to create with this cutie, Surfing Starfish from Fresh Brewed Designs. June is digi month at Fresh Brewed Designs, with a new digi being released every Monday. This one was released last week and is now on sale, along with all the FBD digital stamps. Use the code wowfbd at check out and receive 50% off your digi stamp order!! Yes, that's right, 50% off!!! But hurry, this offer is only good until June 16th.

This starfish looks so accomplished up on that surfboard!! Hehehe! Too bad I can't say the same about my clouds. When I watch the technique on videos, it looks so easy. But then when it comes my turn to do it, they look REALLY dorky!! Practice, practice, practice...guess I need to keep on practicing!

100% Fantastic

Happy Tuesday! I'm here to share with you my card using the newly released Fresh Brewed Designs digital image, Sun Fun Kim. June is digi month at Fresh Brewed Designs, and every Monday a new image is being released. Check out yesterday's post at the Fresh Brewed Blog for all the wonderful creations using Sun Fun Kim. I couldn't resist pairing her with my newly purchased sun die by Simon Says Stamps. Too bad my brain wasn't working while I was creating this card, but when it was all done, I thought why didn't I put cloud paper behind the sun instead of white. Next time!!

There's always something fun going on at Fresh Brewed Designs. Check out all the digis released so far this month. There's even a freebie sentiment on the home page to scoop up. And don't forget to join us at the Fresh Brewed Blog for our month long prize challenge -  Fairies, Mermaids and Fantasy.

Show Off the Pearls

It's Sunday, and that means it's time for a new Clean and Simple challenge at The Outlawz. Did you know June has three traditional birthstones - pearl, moonstone, and alexandrite. The challenge is to create a CAS project of any theme that uses one of the birthstones, pearls. I cut out this flower border die, having to cut off some of the blooms to fit my card. And can you believe it, two cards in a row in which I feature purple as my main color!!!! My pearls are of various sizes within the die cut. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. This card definitely fits into the quick, easy, clean & simple category!!

Fresh Brewed Designs

Hello and welcome to the first Wednesday in June. You're just in time to find out our latest month long challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog -- Mermaids, Fairies & Fantasy. There is an optional second portion to this challenge, to make a box card (find that tutorial HERE). Time is always a factor for me and I was so proud to get this card made early - usually I'm late, late, late!!! I opted out of the box card for now, maybe another time. Now I know it Digi Month at Fresh Brewed Designs, but I simply couldn't resist using this beautiful rubber stamp, Marina One of a Kind. I decided to sparkle her up, using two Spica glitter pens on Marina and Stickles on the bubbles (or are they pearls?). I hope you can join us this month for our Mermaid, Fairies & Fantasy themed challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Sweet Soccer Girl

Wednesdays mean a new sketch to share from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This is another fun one, great for putting those silly scraps to use.

As always, we have another fabulous sponsor. This week Meljen's Designs are in the house. One lucky winner will be able to choose 4 digis absolutely free!!

I was lucky enough to get to work with Soccer Girl. Even though my son just graduated from high school this past Friday (wow, where did the time go?), I went with the school colors. I'll be giving this card to a friend of mine so she can give it to her soccer playing daughter for her upcoming birthday.

Please join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week and maybe you will be our winner of 4 free digis from Meljen's Designs.

Choo Choo

Good News!!! Clearly Digi Stamps is now up and running!!! The bugs are now all worked out and they are having a Re-Grand Opening! Be sure and stop by and check it out. For the next month, free digis will be up for grabs every Thursday and Sunday. Right now, two sets are available, Otterly Thankful and Choo Choo - get them HERE. Hurry though, you have until Thursday to download them then a new set will be offered.

I have a card using the Choo Choo set. Who said trains are only for boys?!! I loved the colors of this girly train and papers so I had to put it to use! Being a tomboy myself, I know I would have loved getting a card like this.

Happy Summer

The calendar says it's almost summer, but yesterday temps barely got out of the 60s with an overnight low of 40! YIKES, I almost thought I would have to cover up my plants!! This card should warm things up. Say hello to Betty, a newly released digital image from Fresh Brewed Designs. She is one of three new releases from yesterday. I thought she needed a yellow polka dot bikini, so I used my copic marker to make the dots. I found the designer paper in my pile of scraps sitting on top of my paper cutter...thought they looked tropical.

Thanks for stopping by. To see all the other newly released digis, check out what the other DT members created in yesterday's post at the Fresh Brewed Blog. Then stop by the home page at Fresh Brewed Designs, you'll find a New Digi Bundle of all three images for the price of two!! What a great deal! Then get creative with these fun digis!

Let's Play Ball

Looks like this birdie is ready for some baseball! This sweetie of an image is from the set Baseball Birdie by Doodle Pantry. This is for the "Spring is in the Air" challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs that Doodle Pantry is sponsoring. Baseball is one of the things that comes to mind when I think about spring. Being from Pittsburgh of course I root for the Pirates, but growing up the Cincinnati Reds were my favorite team. How funny is that?! Hope you can play along with the spring themed challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs for your chance to win some fabulous images from Doodle Pantry.

Feathers

Welcome to the Clean & Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is "feathers." Use a feather or something that has feathers to create a CAS card. I used a new stamp set from Reverse Confetti called Peacock Pretties. I used the baby wipe technique, using the wipe as an ink pad by covering it with orange, yellow and purple re-inkers. I then stamped onto watercolor paper. I did smear the one feather a bit, hence the placement of the sentiment!!! My only "embellishment" is the faux stitching with a white gel pen. I hope you can join us for our Clean & Simple challenge over at The Outlawz.

A Rooster's Crow

Okay, with all the excitement the past few days, I kept saying to myself "get your Doodle Pantry post done!" As you can see, I never did, and now I'm late (just like the white rabbit!!). Anyway, here is my card for the new release at Doodle Pantry. Be sure and check out everything being released this month 'cause you're gonna want it all!! I'm using the fabulous Rooster set. Of course I used the color version and two of the digital papers included. I simply love the blues and golden yellow/orange colors. I'm trying to keep things simple on my cards but I can't help myself with the layers!

Be sure and head over to the Doodle Pantry Blog to see the adorable "free with purchase" set, Vintage Cooking. It's free for only a limited time so be sure and add it to your cart. And at noon, our Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge goes live. Play along using a Doodle Pantry image and you'll receive absolutely free Quirky Stork. Enjoy your weekend, hope you find some time to stamp.
